  1. There is no difference in real terms between players signing contracts now and signing them in mid-September after the transfer window has closed. They shouldn't be our number one priority right now.
  2. The article posted just above seems to suggest he'll be on the bench. Same with Joe Cole.
  3. Presumably on loan? Would definitely take him though; incredibly direct player.
  4. Gabby Agbonlahor has never played in the Championship (for his parent club, I'm assuming he's been on loan). Now think about what you've just said.
  5. wouldn't touch him with a bargepole. if you can't cut the mustard playing alongside internationals every week ... Yeah, look at Dion Dublin, Ashley Young, Mark Bosnich, and Paul McGrath. They couldn't get a place at united and I certainly wouldn't want those donkeys here. BUT .... They all looked GREAT before going to United. Wellbeck's done nothing but look shit full stop yet Thanks wouldn't touch him with a bargepole. if you can't cut the mustard playing alongside internationals every week ... Really?! Yes really, maybe you'd be so kind as to point me to something i've missed in his career thus far that doesn't scream out 'bog average will never make it' 1 in 4 at Man United (having often been played out of position) and 1 in 3 at England who, as all we know, are fairly useless as a nation. Last season he scored 9 in 25 at Utd in a team that failed to deliver anything. And he's only 23. But yes, he's useless and will "never make it".

  7. Shouldn't that be "BCFC who the f**k are they who cares and who gives a f**king shit" to five them thier full title - Just saying No, it should be "BCFC, what the **** is that, who cares and who gives a **** shit"
  8. I just can't imagine our fans doing that!! Oh wait...

And, if we're really pushed for it, I can play LB too.
  10. Remember Super Mario Kart on the SNES? You had the quick acceleration karts like Toad and Koopa Troopa and then you had the big lumbering karts, Donkey Kong and Bowser. Everytime, people would pick either Toad or Koopa Troopa because they're "the fastest" - but, oh! how wrong were those people?! The fastest karts were Donkey Kong and Bowser... they just took their time to get up to speed. That's how I see Vlaar. People look at him and assume he's slow, but he's really not. He can be caught out on the turn by nimble players (probably his biggest weakness) but in an actual foot race, he's not slow in the slightest.
  11. Benteke and Weimann versus Liverpool. That's what we miss.
  12. So, er... a shocking challenge then? Ok
  13. Dean Ashton Eduardo Aaron Ramsey Luc Nilis. Abou Diaby Although Luc Nilis was an accident, but yeah. The Hutton challenge is disgusting. In short but simple terms, you don't need to leave the ground to win the ball. Doing so is only indicative that you're aiming to hurt the opponent. Absolutely not on. (He was good against Stoke though).
  14. Depay would be amazing but I can't imagine he'd end up at us.
  15. A misplaced pass isn't the only way to concede possession... Ah, THAT'S why he was played there then
  16. One of those goals for KEA was offside - not that it matters too much I'd favour the more consistant performer. You know what you get with Westwood and he's been played, essentially, "out of position" in that holding role. El Ahmadi is prone to blunders (i.e: Brunt's goal against us at VP.) and seems to conceed possession quite a bit. He's just not a good enough player at doing anything in particular and we don't play a pressing game.
  17. Grealish doesn't seem to play centrally - more of a wide player judging from his positioning when he came on? Westwood/Delph is the central pairing imo; maybe Richardson could be used there too, although he certainly seems to be a left sided player.
  18. Why would you be interested in signing an expensive, unproven Bluenose? Weird choice.
  19. And rightly so. I don't know what El Ahmadi's best role is or even what type of midfielder he is. Westwood plays simple passes and helps retain possession - something El Ahmadi just doesn't do at all. If Sanchez comes in as the defensive midfielder/destroyer then El Ahmadi is absolutely the player that makes way (in that regard). Last seasons passing success percentage - Westwood 82.9%, KEA 81.9%/ Tackles - Westwood 1.6 pg, KEA 3.4 pg Westwood scored 3, KEA 2 - but Westwood started 9 more games. So Westwood is a marginally better passer and goalscorer but KEA is way better at tackling... that's what we've bought Sanchez for, right? Out he goes.

  21. Young player comes on with Stoke putting us under pressure and we only have a 1-0 lead. I'm not surprised he played everything "safe" and, in that situation, I'd want the entire team to do the "safe" thing too!
  22. Late and most people would've pointed out similar, but Senderos was great yesterday and (perhaps more importantly) that back 4 of Hutton, Senderos, Vlaar and Cissokho were SO solid. I can't remember seeing such a strong defensive display from us.
  23. But you, er, you don't know otherwise...
