Watkins in his first season has done well so far especially in his work rate. The problem with goals is he doesn't fit our play yet. At Brentford he had benrahma and the other chap...cant think of his name...running forward with the ball and playing him in....bit like his goal at arsenal. Unfortunately we don't play like that and we rely on crosses from wide...look at how many back post goals we have. Now you could argue he should be there but overall he is not the right fit for us now. He is often alone up top bringing down Mings 60 yard hoofs....its tough. I think if grealish played more central he would get more goals because he could play on the shoulder...but grealish is often out wide with the other winger so that leaves him in the box waiting for the cross. Hopefully when barkley comes back we can have that player to play more central which would suit him better. The goals will come....Palace was unlucky but he is trying and you can't fault that

The thing is he over committed and dropped to deep to the six yard box...anything behind him and he is out of position From there the keeper covers the low cross Centre halves penalty spot to 6 yards. Centre halves should not be in the 6 yard box before the ball is kicked Had he done that he is goal side of martial and clears it easily

When we press we are good When we back off we look poor. The back line have retreated to 6 yard line too much. Amd this is what happens.. when you commit too much it only needs to be just behind and your in trouble. All mings had to do was track martial and clear it. Shame because at times we have looked good and been good with the ball

I'm struggling with Troare too. Maybe this one will be a second season break through? Definitely need better players. I think LB CM poss CDM and a striker are needed but I don't think we get all them now. An improvement on Trez and El ghazi is needed if we want to progress next season. Early days but Lookman at fulham looks good...but defo not for pens.

I've said this before about Watkins. At Brentford he played on the line and had benrahma running with him playing balls in front of him to run on to. Grealish set up at arsenal as an example. We don't play like that and often its long balls at 100 mph in to him. He can do but its not his game and think the frustration shows and he had a game like tonight. Suprised seeing his pen stats he took it. There is a player there if used properly all the time

This game is for the taking...time to be bold Be methodical and better with the ball. Luiz then is a prime example...lovely long ball to him...space to bring it down and he gives it away. Watkins needs support round him. Hate seeing him bring 60 yard out of the sky passes with no support. Few improvements and we can wrap this up

Combination of not playing well Smith not recognising the threats and adjusting sooner. Leeds had a better work rate Bielsa exploited our weaknesses. Had the knsa or grealish effort gone in...who knows...it didn't...many thing for me is after the first one went in we went back to defending of old. In each game so far we have been vulnerable from the wings because we tuck in too much. Bielsa and Leeds knew this and they have been able to exploit it. 2nd goal....typical when losing...just go to pot...nonone tackles...hold position....good strike in the end. Though typical villa...make a shit player look like messi

As much as I hate Leeds....its been coming. Maybe at times we should look at how they move the ball. Five passes and in the net from one end of pitch to the other. Lot to do now
