  1. But its OUR team? And also people are thinking of the small budget we thought we had. Now 8 million is arriving for Cleverley…. so is that our spending done after that? ETC
  2. I wanna know where this supposed 8 million has come from. If you ask me its utter bollocks and if we did spend that much money on Cleverley instead of someone else (i can think of quite a few players id rather sign) id be so disappointed.
  3. Yes to Holtby and Dembele. No to Ashley.
  4. Id rather spend 7 million on someone other than cleverly...
  5. Yeah i'd agree with you there. I think we need both tbh but yes.
  6. Exactly how many players do we need before we are no longer a turd? 2? 3? 5? 11?! You need to play the way you want to when you have "better" players - otherwise you are just treading water and have nothing to fall back on when injuries and suspensions come. After 2 seasons of Lambert, this is my biggest disappointment. Sure, you get bad results from time to time - but I see no improvement in our approach. In fact, I think some of our players have regressed under him. 2 and i think we'd be an alright, but more confident, mid table team. I do agree with you though. We desperately need someone with a delivery.
  7. Seen the highlights, albeit not that many. Poor finishing. But from a poor side so what can we expect? Can't polish a turd. Money is needed to buy a turd that CAN be polished. Simples.
  8. At least we aren't doing shit after spending huge on players. Always a plus. Norwich, QPR, Sunderland, West Brom etc have spent a lot more than us but actually aren't much better, if at all.
  9. You seem surprised were shit at attacking…. No creativity and no proper strikers at the minute. But no budget to do anything about it either….
  10. Im getting confused by some people who are "Lambert out" after a loss and content after a win. It's bizarre. Seasons have ups and downs and can't be judged on one game. Before this things we looking alright - players we like coming in, individuals playing well etc. Obviously this is an awful result though. Hopefully it won't knock the teams confidence too much. From what i saw on text updates we had a fair few shots last 15 mins and couldn't finish. Probably got caught on the break i dunno. Anyway I'm not looking too much in to this - Early days. Lambert may be being too cautious, and rightly so considering how shite our defense was last season, but that means our attack is toothless. But with an attack of an aged Cole, Weimann, Gabby and a past it Bent it was toothless even before any tactics came into play. 11 shots and 1 on target isn't good enough. Didn't watch the game though so ill have to judge from the highlights. PS i can't **** wait until Tekkers and Kozak are back then we can 100 percent judge Lambert and this team.
  11. Extremely doubt we'll get both but that is a team!
  12. there aren't any just people chatting.
  13. Definitely. I know were only 2 games in to the season but we lost those fixtures last season and we've kept 2 clean sheets. Look more confident and solid at the back. Hopefully that'll make the midfield less nervy as well. BUT in my opinion were still lacking the creativity we did last season. Gabby hasn't contributed in ages and as I've said before Weimann just isn't a winger. We need either a CAM or a winger - creative players. Im confident we've got the strikers to put the ball away in Benteke and Kozak (even Weimann too - id prefer him down the middle). 1 more player and i'd be very happy with out team!
  14. I don't get this kind of thinking. If Grealish is good enough he will play, end of. Agreed. Our primary concern is the team as a whole. If Grealish is good enough for the first team then he'll play. Although it's always good to see home grown players climb the ladder.
  15. Heard something or just throwing his name in? I think he'd be great here but Chelsea are using him no? Rotation player.
  16. He is a bit of a goofball. Does some stupid heskey shit every now and again but he's alright.
  17. Arsenal's chief commercial officer Tom Fox is close to being appointed Aston Villa chief executive after discussions with the Midlands club's owner Randy Lerner. (Telegraph)
  18. Reckon that's bollocks. Hope it is anyways!
  19. £6m in a market where : Borini is touted at £14m, Forster for £10m, Rodwell for £10m, Livermore for £8m, Snodgrass for £6m, Long for £12m and so on and so on. Even with a year left on his contract he is worth much more than £6m Borini at 14 mill still makes me laugh!!
  20. Agreed. After the world cup and the morale/leadership he provides the team i wouldn't sell for less than 10.
  21. What's the minimum you guys would take for Vlaar? Considering he's our captain and probably one of, if not the most important player in our team. I think his value to us at the moment is more than just money at the minute. Edit - if he was adamant to leave us that is. Obviously i wouldn't WANT to sell him.
  22. I'd sell Herd, possibly Clark or Baker (or loan), Bent (in January because Kozak and Benteke are out) and El Ahmadi. Also in other news: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28854834 "Koeman was quoted in the Dutch press last week as saying he would "really like" to have the Netherlands defender at Southampton. "He is disrespecting when talking about other team's players," said Lambert."
  23. For under 3m it would be a no brainer really... I thought we'd had enough of cheap shit from lower leagues that Youtube videos make look good?
  24. Depay is out of our price rang now after that world cup and has been highly regarded for a while now. Affelay has just gone to Olympiakos and not sure about Elia. I know you said 'like' those players but just saying'. I agree though that type of player is needed.
