  1. The biggest hurdle to that is MLS being ruthless/unrealistic when it comes to negotiations. After scoring 3 goals in 4 games his price will be higher than ever. He's 28 and would have little sell on value, so I don't think many, if any, clubs would be willing to meet MLS's price.
  2. Pantsil is crap, is he a serious suggestion?? Do you honestly think its a good idea to release all those players when we've spent nearly £10m on them? Pantsil is far from crap, however I don't expect MON to buy another RB. I think you'll find he is, positionally he is awful No, I've seen him a lot...he's pretty solid.

  4. From an American perspective, I think the fixtures favor Slovenia progressing. They get to open up against Algeria, who could be the weakest in the group, then finish against England, who could be thinking about the next round and happy to get a boring draw.
  5. The ump admitted he blew the call. They should change it and give him a perfect game, but I know they won't. OT but JPA just scored a game winning last minute free kick for NY.
  6. Would you not want more than than 20 odd goals in 350 odd games from a 'forward attacking midfielder'? If he's supposed to be an attacking midfielder he's even worse than I thought. No, he's more like Barry, a holding midfielder. I think he'd be a big upgrade over Petrov.
  7. I don't think we are going to give England much of a match. So many of our key players are injured or had bad seasons/lack of playing time. Just looking at the back four that started at the Confed Cup, Demerit has been out most of the season, Onyewu has been out since October, Spector has been horrendous for West Ham and Bocanegra is the only one that has had a pretty good season. On top of that, one of our starting forwards nearly died in a car crash last October and will be lucky to be on the bench, and the other, Altidore had as many headbutts as goals in the Premier League. We just don't have any depth if players get hurt or are playing poorly. The one area other than GK that I feel pretty good about is midfield, and England is still much better there than us.
  8. We would finish 7th in that scenario if Liverpool win their last 2 and City win on the final day.
  9. They had to shuffle their lineup, Dann out, Ridgewell to CB and Vignal in. Good for us.
  10. Because again he is being shown up for the average player that he is. He offers little / nothing going forward. Some are now saying he's supposed to be the "destroyer" but still teams waltz through us like Stevie Wonder at a Red light. He's supposed to be the captain, a leader both by example and by motivation. Neither of which he has shown again so far today. He has to raise his game a lot in the second half Agreed drat01. I think he has a place in the squad, but we need a quality holding/defensive midfielder.
  11. We've had a lot of injuries. Downing and Young's seasons didn't start until November-ish Davies has been out since the start of the season. Collins missed a month. Our top 3 strikers are carrying injuries of varying degrees. NRC has been out for a long time. Those injuries plus MON's unwillingness to play some of the depth he bought has meant many of our key players are tired and/or playing with injuries.
  12. Spurs would be a seeded team (based on coefficient rankings), which as things stand right now would mean we'd most likely face one of the following in the CL playoff round that precedes entrance into the CL proper: Basel Bayer Leverkusen Palermo Auxerre Mallorca Of course this is getting way ahead of things, obviously because Spurs might not finish in 4th, but over two legs I don't see any team there that Spurs wouldn't be favourites to beat. The season isn't even over, those are just projections and the teams could all change. It could be Lyon instead of Auxerre, Sevilla instead of Mallorca, Fiorentina or Juventus instead of Palermo, or Bremen instead of Bayer Leverkusen. You might not be seeded if you do make it.
  13. Take him in the shower after the game. Good game against a Jackel and Hyde team. They beat Liverpool then get stuffed by Bolton. Any win away in the Premier league is a good victory. I was going to give Sidwell MOM but then I thought why stop Jimmy getting 100%. That's a silly reason not to vote for Sidwell. I voted for him just because you didn't!
  14. I watched their game yesterday since the Villa wasn't on here. I thought he was going to get taken off at the half, that's how bad he was. He scored a good goal, but other than that went much better in the 2nd half. Everton were controlling the midfield most of the game and should have won.
  15. It was a good effort, but not enough. I'm not sure how Vidic stayed on the pitch after 5 minutes, but if you overlook that, Man Utd were just the better team. We had little quality in the final third and they had Rooney, who turned out to be the difference.
  16. I thought Friedel was MOTM. That's 8 cleansheets in his last 10 starts, but a lot of them have been pretty quiet for him due to great defending. In this one he was really busy and had to make some great saves. That's not to say Dunne didn't have a very good performance as well.
  17. It's probably Schwarzer Hughes Smalling Hangeland Kelly Davies Baird Murphy Duff Nevland Zamora That team is very beatable.
  18. How you figure that one out? They have not been beaten at home since early October and we haven't scored in 4 premier league games! And it's got to change sooner or later. 3-0 Villa. Sounds good to me, i'm just a little concerned half our most influential players didn't train yesterday?! They're without Dempsey, Johnson, both fullbacks and Etuhu. Hangeland has been struggling with an injury and hasn't been himself. If there ever was a chance to win at Craven Cottage this should be it.
  19. Yeah Guzan looked shaky for most of the game, but the defending tonight was horrible at times. 1st goal yeah he flapped at. 2nd goal was just awful, Cuellar got burned and Guzan made a great save but no one was marking Kalinic. 3rd goal was not his fault and the 4th goal went through a crowd and was deflected at the last second. I'd play Young at RB in the final and flip a coin between Cuellar and Collins at CB. Not sure about Guzan, it would be pretty harsh to drop him.
  20. Anyone who was there have an opinion on whether Guzan was fouled on their goal?
  21. I'm not sure how accurate this is, but it says Lichaj has returned to Villa and will be loaned out to a Championship side. Vital Lincoln
  22. To be fair to Sidwell, he did block a Beattie shot right at the end, as well as take the ball from Faye and clear it when he was about to shoot.
  23. Mancini hasn't done anything great...he's no better than Sven, who won stuff in Serie A when it was a tougher league. Mancini won his first title due to the match fixing scandal and won the next two practically by default. I'm glad to see Hughes humbled after the way he acted this summer.
  24. This is difficult to watch. Stoke are so hard working and I have last season result in the back of my mind. They won't give up until the final whistle, so let's get a couple more.
