  1. It followed Trinity's bathtub killing scenario...initially I thought maybe it was a copycat that knew Dexter's past, due to the baby sitting in the blood, but then I saw this interview with Lithgow/Hall where they discuss the finale and basically confirm it was Trinity. There are other ways to find someone's address...he could have trailed Dexter on his way home, or found something at Deb's apartment. interview - obviously finale spoilers so beware
  2. They look about twice as wide with the way they've formatted it.
  3. I was just explaining why I think Dempsey is better than Donavon. And "I dunno, I've already suggested one reason, that is he is the face of US 'soccer', and the MLS hold his contract and don't want to let their prized asset leave. He likes living in California and hasn't enjoyed Europe when he's been over here (never settled), by his own admission" doesn't fly very far with me as far as I'm concerned. If you want to progress as a football player wanting to play at a high level you wouldn't be obliged to play in the MLS (no disrespect). I'd do ANYTHING to play to play in the PL, Serie A, La Liga, Ligue 1 etc... it just seems Donavon is just wasting his talent by not wanting to adjust just because he prefers to live in SoCal. Other American's have settled into Europe and European football perfectly fine so I just think that's a weak excuse personally. He wants to leave, but MLS values him way more than any team in Europe does, so he'll probably have to play out the last 2 years of his contract before he gets a real chance.(unless he really impresses at Everton and someone wants to pay an exorbitant fee) Dempsey was sold for about $4m, MLS would probably want 3 times that for Donovan.
  4. Yep, we've confirmed we are in advanced talks for a "Beckham-esque" loan. Wouldn't mind it to be honest, seems alright. Will be good in helping us improve our profile (even a tiny bit!) over there as well. It was also reported by Andy Hunter, who is one of only a couple of journalists that Moyes fully trusts and will give information too. He reported ALL of our summer transfers before anyone else. Hopefully he doesn't suffer from the Everton injury curse, we'd be screwed at the World Cup without him. He scored or set up 80% of our goals in qualifying.
  5. That's terrible. He's had so much bad luck and it seemed like he was on the way back to his old self. I hope it isn't serious.
  6. Collins may be the bargain of the summer. MON really turned a weakness into a strength with the Collins/Dunne signings. Those 2 are so strong in the air, maybe we will see the same set piece proficiency of 2 seasons ago.
  7. Most baseball starting pitchers need 4 days rest to be at their maximum effectiveness. During the regular season, there are games almost every day, so you need 5 starters to keep the 4 days of rest schedule for each pitcher. In the postseason, there are more off days, so teams can afford to limit their pitching rotations to the 3 or 4 best instead of 5. Often times, teams will use their best pitcher after only 3 days of rest, especially if it's an elimination game in a series.
  8. OMG get on the phone to Big Sam and get Warnock in tonight.
  9. One defender on the bench. I guess NRC and Gardner are the backups if Shorey or Beye need to come out.
  10. Why are people leaving Petrov out? He was back in training on Thursday and if you believe Sidwell he'll be named the captain.
  11. Delph is delphinitely a central midfielder. Leeds fans said he wasn't nearly as effective when he played on the left, and today seemed to confirm that.
  12. How are we lining up right now? Looks like it may be a 4-3-3 with delph playing more attacking role than NRC and Sidwell.
  13. Maybe I'm a biased yank, but Lichaj looks pretty good. I wonder if MON would send him on loan to get playing time once Luke Young is back?
  14. Fixed Yer Post!! We all dream of a team of Shoreys!!!
  15. The Goltv commentators seem to think Heskey is a clinical finisher.
  16. That was definitely a push but Cuellar sure went down easily.
  17. Is this the thread for commenting about the commentators?
  18. Xavi is great. 27 assists for the season. The Barca midfield just dominated, Man Utd couldn't get the ball off them.
  19. I'd pick Petrov for Villa. Barry is potentially better but his heart isn't here and he's been below his former standard since Benitez tapped him up. He's shown flashes of his former self but nothing consistent.
  20. I think Barca are pretty over-rated to be fair. Only have one game-plan and can never adapt to changing situations. They spend half the game trying to walk the ball into the net. United will never play an easier final, it will be a walk-over. Oh and i'd much rather have Big John than E'to 8) Good call. They've only scored 100 goals and allowed 28 in arguably the best league in the world.
  21. I'm just glad the 2 best teams are in the final. They will go right at each other and put on a good display. Barca will need Marquez/Henry/Puyol for this one.
  22. That was one of the finest displays of total baseball that I've ever seen! Johan Cruyff would be so proud if he knew what baseball was.
