Having said that…what a bunch of losers.

Morgan Rogers and I are both from Halesowen. I can't really reveal my sources, but I'd consider myself quite in the know here
SpoilerHalesowen is a market town in the West Midlands, about 7 miles west of Birmingham. It's population is 58,000. It was recorded in the Domesday book as being larger than Birmingham.

I realised yesterday, when filling up my car, I don’t know what petrol looks like. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it.
If there was containers of varying liquids in front of me, I wouldn’t be able to pick it out from looks alone.
I could just google it now, but I like the mystery.

I work from home using my own laptop as well, I don’t think it’s that uncommon.
But then again, I do work for the same company as @Rob182
I’ve just asked the people sat around me in the office though and they said they’re all allowed to use their own laptops at home too.

Does me saying Im 45 make this better or worse?
BUT, I have a friend who didn't think he would ever crack 4 hours looking at attempting sub 3 at Tokyo. Its amazing how quickly the perspective shifts once running 5+ times a week - joining a club (preferably ones with serious runners) makes a huge difference. a few years ago I was aiming for < 1:45 half, ran just over 1:19 yesterday and it was a terrible race for me (had some sort of stomach bug all week).
Wow, fair play! I think that makes me feel better actually. You’ve got 9 years on me, so my kids won’t want anything to do with me when I’m 45, it’ll be easier to find time to train.
I already feel a bit of a shit when I turn to my wife every few days and say I’m going for a run, see you in a couple of hours, good luck with the nappies.

Technology has always been developed though. I have carbon shoes but my 2:45 Marathon PB was in New Balance racing flats, is it illegitimate because I didn't run in sandals like they did 2000 years ago?
On more of an actual racing note, I have Tokyo in just less than 6 weeks, not quite where I should be fitness-wise (although hope to PB) but will be collecting my Abbot 6 star medal which has been an 8 year project...
I have and had running pals who have done Newport, described as not the prettiest (Industrial Estates - which was I how I described Manchester Marathon) but fast and flat - good luck!!
I find this 75% inspiring, 25% sickening and making me want to throw my garmin in a canal and never run again.

People that watch reality tv needing to announce that they don’t “normally watch this type of thing”. Etc. Tough shit, you like reality tv now! No biggie
Hang on, that was me! That’s what I said to you the other day when I was talking about how I was getting in to The Traitors.
Now you’re posting it on here. The irony! I’d be having my suspicions about you, buster.

I somehow missed the whole shed thing and have no idea what it’s about, but I won’t let that stop me from joining in.
Happy birthday @sidcow, you silly shed loser!

I get a lot of spam phone calls. I’d prefer tinned meat face to face.
Does that nearly work?
“Tinned meat” sounds a bit like “to meet”, you see and spam is a type or tinned meat.

Well I ran (jogged, walked and limped) my first marathon in 5:47. I rather optimistically expected to be around the 5 hour mark, so I was a bit disappointed, but I crossed the finish line and got my medal.
I knew I hadn't done enough long distance training and I could tell my legs were starting to go as early as mile 10. From mile 15 onward I'd turned into a hobbling mess, switching between walking and jogging. It was frustrating because I felt like I had plenty of juice left to carry on running but my legs were having none of it.
So I've got mixed feelings really, I'm chuffed I've done a marathon, gutted I haven't ran a marathon. I walked at least a third of it so I feel like I've cheated somehow. Lesson learned, I definitely want to do it again next year and now I know exactly what to expect I know I'll put more training in.
I've just signed up for my second ever marathon in Newport on 28th April. Obviously I was very eager to give it another go, I've only waited nearly 6 and a half years.
I came back to read this post to remind myself of how disappointed I was last time and to take training seriously. You get what you deserve.
14 week training block starts Monday. Let's go!

Since she got much slimmer, you sizest pig.
Partly that, but there's definitely more to it.
I accept I am a pig though because I'm judging a woman's looks and all that. But still....Phwoar!

I was just trying to think of a significant person that I've heard of who has done significant things but most people might not have heard of and should arguably be more famous than they actually are, but I couldn't really think of anyone.

I don’t know why or how or since when and I don’t want to question it, but I think Kelly Osbourne… I would. Most definitely.

I went to a Butlin’s weekend for my brother-in-laws stag do.
Really not my scene, but my biggest takeaway was that I’m never, ever taking my family to stop in one of those rooms.

And also, at the weekend, which one of us three *didn’t* have a beer?…. That’s right. @lapal_fan!!
The cheek of him. I can drink more than 3 beers. I just become even more of an annoying, wisecracking, piss-taker than I am normally. After beer 4 I’ll throw up though. Coors Light is lethal.
He did have 2 evening coffees though, the bloody mad man.

It was actually alright. At no point did they really try and make it fun, which is what I really hate about these things normally. Sandwiches were alright and I found some panties on the way to the toilet.
Someone must have been really desperate.

Mr Hodge my old PE teacher from comp has dies.
Now, I doubt he’s on many of your lists, and some of you may not even know who he was. He was the un named PE teacher in this story which is just absolutely stone cold typical of the stuff he used to do.
Other than the fictional characters in Gavin and Stacey, I only know of two people from Barry, Mike Bubbins and yourself. Turns out you went to school together?
