  1. You guys aren’t taking this seriously enough. There are some things that you just don’t joke about.

The little flag on the England shirt is a slightly different colour!! How can you all laugh about this so easily!?

Funny that the people who get the most outraged at the least significant of things, which are completely inconsequential to their lives, are often the quickest to go around branding others as "snowflakes".

But…but…I don’t want vegan sausage rolls

  3. People are so easily offended these days.

They’ve been told what to get annoyed about and they’re all sheep, so they’re all crying about something us normal folk don’t care about.

    Snowflakes.

  4. I did the Stafford Half Marathon on Sunday. My P.B is 1hr50 and I thought as I’m in the middle of marathon training I could probably knock a few minutes off.

I set off at 8 minute miles and tried to stay with the 1hr45 pacer. Either my maths is wrong or he was going way too fast as he disappeared over the horizon early on.

There’s a few big hills and I never really recovered from the one on mile 5. Finish time of 1:52:15.

Never mind, lessons learned. I’m doing the Leamington half in June, so I’ll try again then.

i'll be buying that home kit for me and my boy and probably the away for my daughter

    much, much better

edit - another photo which shows the detail on the away kit, will get some stick as its not traditional but i like it

I like the home, it reminds me of both the 1984 and the 1988 one. The collar's a bit odd though.

  6. Screenshots of QR codes won’t work tomorrow apparently. That’s what I usually do.

You have to use Villa app, apple/google wallet or print at home.

Unlike the last cup game where you could use your season card.

Can’t they just stick to one system?

No post since August 27th which is great to see.   So really disappointed to hear there was racism direct towards Son by a Villa fan on Sunday. I genuinely thought we had got past this at Villa Park. Sounds like he got away with it too.

@Paddywhack hope you don’t mind me mentioning this on here.

Nah that's fine, probably a more appropiate thread.

I still haven't got round to reporting it to be honest, but I will do. The only thing I could fine was that number to text but I think that might be for during the game, which is when I probably should have done it.

  8. Just like how Yesterday came to Paul McCartney in a dream, I woke up around 3am with this masterpiece going round in my head.

To the tune of Billy Joel's We Didn't Start the Fire;-

"Super John McGinn's on fire, Morgan Rogers makes us touch our todgers."

I expect that'll be belted out from the Holte on Sunday then.

Photo credit that place formally known as twitter

Witton Lane sometime in the 80's

There used to be a good chippy in the row of houses just behind from where the photo was taken

I read recently that this was the same original Witton Lane stand shown here, it just had the rolling barrel roof replaced. Is that right?

I only managed 5 miles though, I had to head home because of stomach cramps. I think that’s the 3rd time I’ve had that whilst running that in the last few weeks, first time I’ve had to stop though.

I had stomach cramps again on last night's run.

It's pretty much the same everytime, where the run doesn't go too well and I'm struggling a little, but with no pain, but then as soon as I stop my watch and start walking I'm on my knees holding my stomach. It's waves of intense pain about every 30 seconds for about 10-15 minutes after the run. It doesn't really seem anything to do with going to the toilet.

Trusty google tells me it's probably dehydration.
