Great time that fella, well done. I'm aiming to get 23 something this weekend, whether I do or not remains to be seen! Which parkrun was that if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks man, it was at Chasewater. I like doing a bit of parkrun tourism, so that was my 44th different event.
I wasn't really expecting a PB, just a great bonus of marathon training I think. I liked the course though, because it opens up quite quickly into wide paths. I hate parkruns where you're tripping over each others ankles for the first mile or so.
Good luck with yours, where you heading?

At the end of the season, they used to sell off player worn kits and the like in the club shop.
For over 10 years, after every shower, I've been drying myself with one of two towels - Darren Bent's and Charles N'Zogbia's.

It means you should run hard for 2 minutes, six times during the run. But it's really not well explained if that's all it says because it should also give a rest interval and talk about pace.
Normally when running intervals you keep the rest of the running quite easy and very easy or even walking during the rest intervals. For 6x2mins, I would suggest something like:
1)10-15 minutes easy running warm warm up
2) Run 2 minutes at a hard pace but not 100% flat out. You shouldn't really have breathe to talk but you don't feel like you are dying.
3) Jog or even walk for 2 minutes, this is your recovery interval.
4) repeat 2 and 3 5 more times
5) Run at an easy pace for remainder it the 7 miles. Easy means you should be able to talk easily while running. If you feel good and recovered, you can start to pick up the pace you your normal, moderate speed.
I just did this. It was horrible
I only managed 5 miles though, I had to head home because of stomach cramps. I think that’s the 3rd time I’ve had that whilst running that in the last few weeks, first time I’ve had to stop though.
I got a parkrun PB at the weekend though - 22:14. I took 8 seconds off the time I set in 2018, so I was really happy with that.

Costa Coffee. Haven't used one in quite a while. Never since I've been in a wheelchair. I was early for my hospital appointment yesterday, so I thought I'd have one. I went to the machine, start order, fine. I want a latte. I can't reach it and it doesn't scroll. Had to ask for help. I think it's poor that I can't any drink or food on the top row.
I've complained on their website. But I don't think I've said enough how poor it is in 500 characters. Especially poor in a hospital environment.
That's something I never would have thought about to be honest, but of course a wheelchair user is going to have trouble using one of those machines and those ones you get at mcdonalds and KFC etc.
I'm sure there's loads of other day to day difficulties I've never considered.

Can someone explain how a council can go bust, and explain it like you would to a 5 year old? Y'know.. so @Paddywhack could understand..
Surely a council is only as rich as central government investment and tax generation allows. What is Bham council doing that say, Dudley or Manchester council aren't?
I also heard Windsor and Slough councils are going to the wall.
What’s a council?

Sad to see Aaron Ramsey go off on a stretcher today, following a fairly innocuous challenge by Oodegard.
Hope it isn't as bad as it looked when he went off chuffing on O2.
Just saw it on MOTD, made me flinch. Looked like his knee buckled the wrong way

That makes more sense, thanks mate. I’ll be doing this next week then.
This plan has made me realise I’m really bad at keeping to a pace, even when looking at my watch constantly. It’s more dictated by hills than anything else. I guess that’s when getting on a track is useful.

Agreed. And I feel the same way about the very strong (8% and up) lagers.
Does the strength of the lager change the taste that much? I’m not sure I’ve ever noticed.

I personally wouldn’t ever get anything too precious or valuable framed. Like @choffer said, I wouldn’t want them destroying the shirt. I did get a couple of signed replica shirts framed from a place near me in Halesowen though.
I think they’ve done a decent job, but when they asked me if I wanted the whole shirt on display or to have it folded to just show the badge and autographs, I wish I’d chosen the latter. Apart from the fact a smaller frame would have been cheaper, it’s far bigger than it needs to be. The ‘score draw’ logo bothers me too.I also regret not waiting to get a few of the missing autographs before rushing to get them framed.

I believe Lescott’s car tweet was accidental.

Oh no, I can’t think of anything to moan about in here!

I’m a bit late to the Victoria Coren Mitchell chat, but any mention of her boobs reminds me of the time Michael Winner spent an evening tweeting about them.

Yup, this was me last night.
I didn’t realise until I’d got home. Peeling off the tshirt wasn’t pleasant.
