  1. Prove that they don’t … again why employ data analysts and scouts and expensive bespoke software systems when then just log into fbref ? I mean it’s a great guide for some things for the arm chair fan but if can it be relied upon to judge a player - how does that team set up and what is the ethos of the team, what does the manager expect from the player in that position, does the player show he can improve or play in a different manner, strength of opposition and league in general, how does he perform with his international team in comparison - where’s that in your bible? Data alone is useless without context
  2. You seem the most bitter - why bait other Villa fans who called you out on your constant negativity ?
  3. 20mins to get our head out of ass’ and find a goal and steady ourselves - I have faith we will
  4. Ah cause fbref stats are the gospel on players and clubs shouldn’t waste hundreds of thousands of pound on data analysts and and software when the club could just check FBREF
  5. Dream summer of unrealistic targets list time me feels. Ferdi Kadıoğlu is rumoured already agreed (think it’s BS) LB . €30mill Raoul Bellanova RB €18-20mill Georgiy Sudakov €40mill + Martin Zubimendi €40mill + sell Moreno/Digne, Cash and the deadwood, then also whoever Monchi / Emery decide can be sacrificed if needs be for the greater good (ie Ramsey, Luiz) … I’d try and extend Zaniolo’s loan if poss for another season and add the return of Mings & Buendia and we’ve raised the quality of the first team and squad.
  6. Will the halfway lounge still get built I wonder ? Have you heard what’s planned ? I was told they’re going to get rid of most of the private boxes and make them into larger lounges and the remaining boxes will be pitched at big international firms. Same person said he’d been told that this would allow extra rows to be added to the upper tier as you’re not allowed to drink alcohol with a view of the pitch when the game is on. Then it doesn’t matter as much a slightly restricted view of the pitch from the lounges as you’d watch the game from a seat and not the box.
  7. *62 thousand seat spaceship designed stadium (maybe)
  8. What is your problem ? It’s in the phase two plans we are going to add 3000 seats and if you read what I’ve posted I was agreeing with you earlier FFS. They have said we aren’t moving and we will add 3000 extra seats but some don’t / won’t believe either statement. But i guess from your posts that you are a linguistic and semantics expert into the exact meaning of words as well and how they are meant and to be interpreted. Thank you for the enlightenment
  9. I meant the club have said we aren’t moving and also said we are going to add 3000 extra seats - it’s in the phase two plans. Yet some fans don’t believe it is something we are looking to do.
  10. They wouldn’t say yes even if they were thinking about it imo. Not until all avenues were explored and final decision made. I think the better question would be why are we staying at Villa park with its restrictions when building a new stadium next door / in town where they would grow revenues.
  11. As much as they aren’t leaving Villa park yes … Phase two of the original proposals saw capacity increase to 53’000. Heck has said we’re looking at reconfiguring the bowl to increase capacity…
  12. I’m in agreement with you but for balance it would be massively counter productive and expensive to come out and say yeah we wanna move stadium and we’re looking for land openly. That’s 20,30,40% increase in asking price right there. We may be quietly doing due diligence, negotiating for land, and working on feasibility studies and designs so all options are thoroughly explored.
  13. The club have stated categorically on numerous occasions they plan on adding 3000 seats to Villa park but some don’t believe that.
  14. Can people please stop pissing on my dreams of a new super stadium next door to Villa Park - thanks
  15. I’d be ok with selling for in and around £100million or more. I don’t wish us to but can see the benefits. He’s a great player but also one who I think we could replace easier than Watkins or Martinez. We need to get better at selling players at the right time for us and then reinvest that money into the team. Signed for £15million in 2019 so that’s £100mill pure profit.
  16. Just imagine our own version of this … forget the generic bowl design of Emirates
  17. I’d expect us to partner with someone like Ballymore for example and potentially to appease the council / local government develop a mix of affordable and build to rent units as well as private ownership. With Aston Hall grounds nearby it would be served with vast amount of green space, Tesco’s already in the area. Two upgraded mainline train stations to service the area to and from the centre. It would be transformative. Shame it’s just a message board pipe dream and far from reality.
  18. TBF it’s a very nice looking school also. We are just talking of a pie in the sky fantasy right ow based on board appointments. It may just be a case of spreading workload amongst trusted lieutenants and nothing bigger than that. One can but dream of new stadia and entertainment districts but nothing points to that.
  19. Nor do I but been reading this … https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1071500/CPO_guidance_-_with_2019_update.pdf and… https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compulsory_purchase_in_England_and_Wales#:~:text=Compulsory purchase is the power, various bodies in various situations.
  20. The whole area would need to put under a Compulsory Purchase Order so they have no choice. We would need to prove that by doing so it would be of socio economic benefit to the local and wider area. Right now it’s shit housing stock with a football ground as its neighbour. Any development would need to include at its heart community beneficial amenities and services. The whole area from Aston hall to the academy building would be opened up into a thriving new district given locals more opportunities, jobs, entertainment etc.
  21. They get compensated above market value and I wonder how many are owned and how many are rented. Maybe they could be offered the chance to purchase off plan a new apartment or town house. It’s about what is best for the greater area and wider good and a new district would bring the whole area up in value.
  22. It would open up the area below the expressway from the Aston Inn to the Aston Tavern with a route from Aston Station to a new fantasy ground. Spurs are the obvious example, given they are to build residential towers, a hotel and extreme sports hub, college and offices in an area smaller than the hypothetical area I highlighted. Add in an imax and the small concert venue it would turn a run down suburban area into a thriving rejuvenated part of Birmingham which Brummies would want to visit outside of Villa games.
  23. The amount of apartments, hotel beds, offices, retail, recreational and community facilities which could be built within the highlighted area would be a massive catalyst for regeneration and could also get government levelling up funding towards the wider area. It would add value to the remaining houses.
