  1. Collins was great, Dunne did his job. Milner and Gabby stood out for me, Young was, again really ineffective. Delph should of played more than 10 minutes IMO and we were allowing Pompey far too much space in the second half, a better team would of punished us. The 4-4-2 works for these sort of games, but I don't want to see it permanently.
  2. CB's were brilliant, Collins especially, sort of dissapointed we didn't score another 2 though. Poor in midfield, Milner had a fairly bad game, doesn't matter anyway, we're 6th!

Ahh really? I follow David Rutter on Twitter (look for Ruski) and he's the producer of the game. He says this demo is about 80% complete. I dont think the graphics will change much though, they said they wanted to concentrate on improving gameplay this year not the graphics which to be fair, I dont think are bad at all. I think the running styles are much better - there are 3 in total for different types of player (big an strong, medium builds and smaller guys like ash and lennon) the full game should be cracking - and like some of you i'm looking forward to the manager mode. Last year I used Marseille and they were fun to play with because of the 4-3-3 they use you really had to play slowly and wait for your midfield to catch up with you. Hopefully we'll be getting more information on leagues soon as well, fingeres crossed for Argie leagues I think Well the graphics for the fifa 09 demo are the same as the graphics of this demo, everybody runs a bit weird and looks a little leggy, I expected they'll have it looking perfect by the real game, like 09.

Some good news regarding the game. The demo that was released yesterday is 3 builds old, which basically means that is quite far away from the one that will be released in 3 week. Good, because right now the graphics are way off, the players run weird and all look a bit lanky. Apparently the demo that was released yesterday is where the game was about 2 or 3 month ago.

I think the shooting will be changed slightly, if you look at the 09 demo and compare it to the real game, they are practically different games, the shooting should be tweaked slightly, as at the moment it's a bit too erratic, either daisy cutter or into the stands. Good point about the pace though, I used Barca against Marseille, Messi couldn't just burn past there LB, good to see and strength plays a big part in this one too.

No, these are a few steps back from fifa 09, it's a bit silly. I'm sure it will be sorted by final release though.

Been playing the demo now for a good 40 minutes. It's an improvement on fifa 09, everything is so smooth with passing the ball, but it does have it's faults which I hope are solved for the final release. Sometimes players will try and clear it on the volley when it's dropping from a height, leaving somebody to jump in above them and header it in above them, happened twice already. Goalkeepers are idiots, I hope that gets sorted and the shooting is a bit weird.

Fifa 2004 was guilty of this, infact every Fifa before 08 was fairly guilty. Right now they have the balance almost perfect, although I do like the fact they are trying to give a bit more balance towards defenders I hope they don't totally screw it up. Fifa 04 was guilty of being ridiculously easy. I think that's about the time I ditched it for Pro. Chip ball into striker, who chests it, turns and volleys in. You could win games 20-0 just by doing that. Whilst that is very true actually beating a player was impossible.
  10. Bit off topic but, what do you think the chances of Bouma running away with the LB vote are?
  11. No mention of Kiraly yet? He would of got my vote.

  13. So Beye would be your 4th choice RB? Do you think he's really that bad? Gardner is awful at RB IMO. NRC is a bit hot and cold, stops Ronaldo one week then lets Riera walk all over him. Beye has done enough to be our second choice RB at least.
  14. Yea, I'm really not that bothered about Young coming back, I'd definitely like him back but Beye is doing a decent enough job right now anyway.
  15. Milner is under rated technically because he's not lightning quick, but I rarely see him mis control a ball. If Young chests the ball and flicks it on to Gabby for his goal against Fulham, people would be saying that's why he's so good etc, Milner does it and it doesn't get a mention. Milner's the better passer and he's definitely got the better shot, but Young has pace, is a better crosser and beats his man easier. Milner has been improving his skills to beat players though, I've seen him beat a fair few FB's lately. Crossing is improving too, but when Young's crosses come in right they are best in the league.
  16. Yeah, he's not the quickest, but he's built like a tank and knows his job. As long as we're playing a 4-3-3, he's perfect at the back.
  17. Clark looked good, Gabby played well so far, although he's been a bit slow to pass it. Happy with the possession football too, too often last year we just smashed it up field. Delph might be worth bringing on, bit more creativity in the middle, but then again, I don't know who we could replace him with.
  18. Bit worried about what formation to play today, the 4-3-3 makes sense, it's what suits us but against a happy to defend and defensively solid Fulham? I'm not sure. Then again, the 4-4-2 is usually hopeless anyway, although I'd like to see NRC in there. As for the LB position, Warnock is better at going forward and defending than Shorey, but I'll feel for Shorey a bit, decent performances lately as well.
  19. Delph and NRC could work great as a CM partnership, Petrov was the weakness tonight, he just didn't play well, touch off quite alot, his passes are far too obvious and I saw a few times him having to chase the ball down because he had gone too far ahead with Delph.
  20. You don't think the fact that he almost never looks likely to score is a problem? This, I mean, for **** sake, he mis judged a Milner cross and slid under it. Tool.
  21. This. We let them get into the game again when we got our second, Gabby should of come on earlier and Carew was losing far too many headers towards the end of the game. Delph was real quality, WTF was with Petrov's first touch? Shocking. Every time.
  22. Play Milner upfront, off of Heskey/Carew. He's been playing like an AM/RW/RB/CF tonight, doing all brilliantly. Delph has been excellent, mainly those long on the ground passes to Young.
