  1. I'm getting very **** emotional. How much is the hair on my arms going to stand up watching McGinn lead the boys out to this next season
  2. Well, that's it. I'm a 90s kid. I don't really know Aston Villa as a successful football team, the closest I've seen is us shitting the bed in cup finals, and I was brought up watching the CL on ITV, that Man United treble win, etc. I never thought, even under Lerner when at times we came close, that we'd really do it. I want a trophy more, of course I do, but the first time I hear this music under the lights at a packed out Villa Park, I think I'm going to cry as much as Small Heath fans will be tonight. It's going to be a special moment.
  3. I kind of want Spurs to equalise just to see if they cheer or boo
  4. I think it needs impartial doctors paid for by the PL rather than a doctor on the payroll who's influenced by the needs of the team, but that's potentially a minefield We've seen this protocol fail again and again, it looked Ederson was sparked out, there should be zero tolerance to leaving a player at risk of concussion on the pitch.
  5. If that was as bad as it looked, I doubt he knows what day it is
  6. Football won't take head injuries seriously until players die and legislation is brought in to force their hand. Whoever assessed him and said "yeah crack on lad" needs striking off as unfit to practice.
  7. If we're above local rivalries what's the point of football
  8. I can't agree. CL qualification means a lot more to us, having not been in it since it became the CL, than it does to Spurs If we'd qualified for it loads, and even got to the final, I can imagine I might accept missing it for a season rather than help the blues win a title. It's a **** horrendous position to be in, and thankfully smallheath are so shit they'd be lucky to win a roll of tinfoil, but if they were a top team, would you want to win the title for them? I **** wouldn't.
  9. I can only thank the universe that small heath are so **** dogshit we'd never find ourselves in the position of deciding between wanting to win vs gifting them a trophy
  10. I think this is fair, nobody likes to think of themselves as the dick, we're all the protagonist in our own life. I don't struggle to believe his stories about O'Neill though, because I don't think I've ever heard anyone meet him and have anything nice to say about him.
  11. 2 seconds stoppage time because even the officials have had enough of that bollocks
  12. You'd think they'd be well up for it, not only is it basically for the title, they've got a home atmosphere going.
  13. It's a bit 90s, bit old school, Fois Gras with a balsamic reduction, I reckon
  14. Milner has signed on for another year, that's some **** going
  15. He's scored 1 goal against a top 4 team all season, and not many more against top half teams. 1 goal in 4 in the CL knockout phases. More missed big chances than any other striker in the league. Looks a bit of a flat track bully to me. Give me Watkins all day
  16. They'll have details of the offence, "information" from the police (though this is a bit vague, does it include the evidence? It's unclear) but not the name of the person they're assessing It's not exactly uncommon to suspend people from work while they're the subject of active criminal investigations FWIW, I'd probably have preferred the previous motion - for the threshold to be based on a charge, not merely an arrest, but based on your concerns about prejudicing trials, etc, I guess you'd not be in favour of that either?
  17. I think the important caveat here is that it isn't an automatic ban, @bickster, it simply gives an independent (supposedly) panel the power to intervene if it's thought necessary, there will be a risk assessment on a case by case basis
