  1. 3. I'm English, and support the national side in all other sports, apart from football, I couldn't give a shit, a bit like most of he players. No passion. Half of them could take it or leave it. Club before country for me.
  2. The Test - Chemical Brothers ft. Richard Ashcroft
  3. Man Utd win - Barca struggled to overcome Chelsea. Chelsea just lacked cutting edge in their semi, Man Utd are just as solid, but have the firepower to match with Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo etc.
  4. Top 6. Anything below that, I reckon O'Neill could be on his way, as I think he'll feel he'll have taken us as far as he can.
  5. Gareth Barry in my opinion. Both suffer from the same flaws, lack of goals, lack of pace/mobility. Both are excellent passers of the football, neither get flustered in position, excellent range of passing, and both vastly experienced They're both very similar players, but if I had to choose, it'd be Barry.
  6. No. He's a thug, not a footballer. Never seems to learn from his mistakes either.
  7. Oooh, I miss those! Do I ****, really Well, with Martin Laursen to retire and Gareth Barry possibly on his way, they're here to stay this summer
  8. If the bears managed to get the T Rex on the deck, they'd win. T Rex's have only got tiny arms, it'd struggle to get up.
  9. More than 12 of these, grizzly bears. Have you got an answer to this, or is it just a bit of fun/guessing game?
  10. Been reading a book this afternoon, 'History of Glue' Couldn't put it down. :notworthy:
  11. Barry remains with us, signs new deal and agrees to see out career with us. We stick with 4-4-2, sign this Steven Defour, turns out to the bollocks, but to accommodate him we need to drop Barry or Petrov? Who's it to be? I think the above is quite probable, and given the choice, i'd rather keep Barry in the middle. Better than Petrov in my opinion.
  12. It's easy saying that now though isn't it, following a poor performance from the team, not just Barry, the team. Although I wasn't happy with his behaviour in the summer and his attempts to engineer a move to Liverpool, I think O'Neill did the right thing in reinstating him to the side, because he's one of, if not the, best player we've got. He may lack pace, but he makes up for it in another areas and if he does leave in the summer, we'll be a worse side for it and we'll struggle to replace him. Read my post, i said i said it at the time and i said 'no' before today's game, i'm not just saying it after today. If we replace him with a younger player with quality, who can actually run, scores a few goals and has the energy to get up and down we will be a better side. What does Barry actually do? He's a good passer of the ball thats about it. Fair enough, you've been of the same opinion RE Barry since the summer and your post was not based on today, fair enough. But for the vast majority of the season, he's been in very good form in my opinion. Name someone better that will come to Villa Park and that we can afford? Someone like Diego, Moutinho, Defour, they're not in the same role as Barry but i think we need someone different to him. Like i said we need someone with energy, pace, scores goals and has a bit of creativity about them. Obviously a player like that might be hard to get but i've no doubt there has to be someone out there who would come and is affordable, whether our scouts spot them or whether O'Neill goes for them is another matter. See the size of the job O'Neill has on his hands, fans like you expecting us to sign players like Diego, and when he doesn't you're disappointed. We wouldn't stand a chance of signing players like him, europes best don't look beyond the top four when they want to join an English club. O'Neill really becoming a victim of the success he's had since he joined, expectation has gone through the roof and he's struggling to keep up! How do you know this Steven Defour is any good? You seen him play? or you basing your opinion on the fact he carries a large price tag? He gets his scouts out to scour europe and find a potential gem or someone we've never heard of that could come good just not had the chance to shine at the highest level, you'd moan because he wasn't a big name, wouldn't you? I suggest O'Neill goes back to 4-5-1 for the remainder of the season, drop Gabby because he's in shit form, and add Sidwell to the midfield, more mobility, someone thats going to get tackles in. Either Sidwell or Reo-Coker.

Maybe going back to 4-5-1 for the remainder of the season seeing as our defence is struggling and Gabby isn't scoring, add Sidwell in the middle. Protection for the back four and a bit more mobility.
  15. You haven't been sent about a hundred gifs of it in you email yet?? Seen a few, like to see the footage though.
  16. I missed the second half and the reaction of the Chelsea players at the final whistle, anyone got a link to some footage?
  17. You got beat by Ricky Hatton, right?
  18. It's wrong to try to put blame on Mayweather for this loss, it's hardly Mayweathers fault that Hatton lost his head on the night, he even asked him what the hell he was playing at after the first round - and for most of the 2nd round it appeared it had sunk in. Hatton actually got caught with that big left hook twice towards the end of the round, the first time wasn't quite as accurate as the 2nd one but it would have taken his head off had it landed cleanly. Then the berk bull-rushed forward right into the same shot again  Mayweather Snr might be a bit of a prick, but he is a very good trainer....can't polish a turd though I'm afraid. My initial pick for this was Pac by late KO and I still think that's what would have happened if Hatton had fought like he did against Malignaggi, and not like he fought against Tszyu. I'm not blaming Mayweather Snr for Hatton's defeat, the better man won. Just that should Hatton fight again, I can't see Mayweather being in his corner, I don't think they get on anymore.
  19. Haven't you learned anything in the last year? Boxing isn't about size, it isn't about a few pounds. Pac started at 106 and just destroyed two boxers who are naturally a lot bigger. Mayweather's style means size really becomes irrelevant, doesn't mean anything. Mayweather will sit on the ropes and Pacquiao will look to pick holes with quick, sharp punches. Mayweather has the perfect punch to disabled a southpaw, the lead right hand. And there's absolutely no way that Mayweather stops Pacquiao, not a chance. It's a 50/50 fight that needs to happen. Yea! Gabby15, have some of that! :winkold:
  20. Yes. He's a top quality player and one O'Neill's going to struggle to replace should he leave. I wasn't pleased with his behaviour in the summer, trying to engineer himself a move away, but he's got his head down since and he's been in top form this season. Kept his word, said he stay to the end of the campaign to see if we made the cut for the CL, but we've missed out. He's given us every opportunity to keep hold of him, but who knows whether we''ll have takers in the summer. Hopefully not.
