  1. You missed out the option "We would be called Liverpool FC".
  2. For all the chattering on this site, the reality is that only 14 people have voted for MON out.
  3. He said a lot of other things about the performance also, didn't he, many of them quite (and quite rightly) negative? If we're'talking about openness and honesty, I think it would be fair to acknowledge the full range of opinions he expressed, for example, That all looks refreshingly open and honest to me. In fact, I would say it is one of MON's better qualities that he tells it as he sees it.
  4. The accusation that MON is dishonest is quite strong and not a little extraordinary. Care to back it up with some examples of what you count as his dishonesty?
  5. There, they've got their eleven now, so they can field a side. Just need some people for the bench...
  6. The "MON go" side are up to 10 now. One more & they could maybe form a football team and put their great knowledge and wisdom about tactics/formations etc. into actual practice.
  7. It's 5 now ffs. It seems some Villlatalk posters are seriously in need of a reality check.
  8. Sorry, but I seriously don't see how anybody sober can say that type of football we played on Saturday was unworthy of Villa Park. It was **** brilliant. What more were you wanting?
  9. Hmmm. I was born & raised in S***hull, so I've just pressed the "elsewhere in the West Midlands" button. Then I wondered if I should have clicked on "Elsewhere in England" as I now live in London.
  10. I'm definitely picking up early signs of the "we won but were lucky/rubbish" posts that we had to put up with for so many weeks last season. How anyone can say that about the Chelsea match is completely beyond me, to be honest.
  11. Cripes, the past 10 years have been dire. How come 12 people think Whittingham was better than Young? Does he have a large family still living in the area?
  12. Cripes, this thread shows what thin gruel Villa fans have lived for most of the 2000s and just how a weak midfield was a big part of the problem. I've gone for Merse despite the fact that he wasn't a CM and didn't play for much of the decade. But he was better than Tayls. .
  13. Solano only played for us for about a season and a half before he emptied his locker and **** off back to Newcastle so for me it has to be Jimmy.
  14. I always used to rate Hughes but I guess all that money is bound to go to anyone's head. He has been making arsey statements for some time now. On the match in general, I'm a bit disappointed to be frank. Thought we should have put the game to bed in the first 60 minutes. Milner could and should have scored. Still, the joy of seeing Dunne outfox Barry for the first goal will have to keep me happy for now.
  15. Merson doesn't really pass this test: so I held my nose and voted Barry.
  16. If he does pass on the words of wisdom, I hope he pauses first to wonder why these stats start at 15 November. Maybe because taking a different time frame they wouldn't look so conclusive? :winkold:
  17. That sounds very poor. No place for that at our club at all.
  18. This is odd. You've give Petrov and Delph 8s and then said the midfield looked vulnerable. These two judgements surely cannot sit sensibly together.
  19. Carew crossed i to Gabby & he backheeled it into the corner of the net.
  20. I remember this game. They kept eleven men in and around their own penalty area the whole time while Villa had some ridiculous number of corners (about 30 or something) before finally scoring after about 70 minutes. Same again tonight will do (but hopefully we won't need quite so many corners). Come on lads, lets have a good Cup run at last! Did Brian Little score?
  21. Trouble is, I have to vote, or the enormous majority of fans who are perfectly content with how MON is running things will look just a little bit smaller. :winkold:
  22. I would still complain about this being a pointless exercise even if there was such a thrilling introduction every week, I'm afraid
