    Yes, I was pleasantly surprised to see him and thought he was very good. Great to see the reaction of the Holte when they spotted him as well It was excellent to see Martin :notworthy: :notworthy: The only bit I didn't like was when he said Villa couldn't make the top 4 this season and should aim for top 6.

    Excellent goal from Gabby and, in the same move a reminder of how it was a good ides to move Mr Hughes on to pastures new. Fulham were poor, thought we should have punished them more but I'm not arguing with a clean sheet, winning at a cruise and the return of Gabby to the score sheet! An extra special mention for Ciaran Clark. He must be buzzing tonight - a very composed performance on his Premiership debut.

    Ha ha, you have been chatting to Insiderman, haven't you? Is totally compatible with It is perfectly possible to think that Gabby & Carew should be our first choice forwards but that Heskey is a useful option to have on the bench, so the answer is both YES and NO according to your analysis. The problem is I'm not 5, I've just passed 6, so I'm starting to realise that football is a bit more complex than silly black and white "Yes" or "No" options.

    Big test, expect Rapid will be looking for an early goal so that they can sit back, so concentration amongst the defence at the very start of the game will be crucial. I hope we can win by 2 goals but I wouldn't really be surprised if we go out on a draw. It's a tough call. DON'T BOO.

    I reckon it's the recession having an effect. I think we will see fewer fans travelling away to Premiership matches generally this season. It's a hell of an outlay, increasingly often at inconvenient times to suit the television coverage.
