As for the Pau Torres links, I think it might just be lazy journalism. Good player obviously but for €65m there’s better value elsewhere.

If some of the rumours are true then could we see Goncalves, Kudus and Guler come in? That would be some skill coming in to add to the McGinn graft and Ramsey potential. Would certainly give us to more options up top and out wide.

I think Luiz is on par with Bruno and Kamara on par, if not better than Tonali but I think we’re after another DM so we can go 433 or 4231 and have a more combative middle two. If we were officially after Ugarte then a similar player would be Seiwald at Salzburg, only 21 and can get even better.

They seem to be proper going for it at the moment out there. Good if we could get rid of Coutinho and Digne perhaps, mainly to free up the wage bill a little.

I think versatility will be key for our frontline signings, similar to the reported Goncalves, who can pretty much cover any of LM, AM, RM, LW, RW. If Emery wants to shift to a 433 or even a 4141 then I can see us getting a cheaper LW option in (Nakamura) as he might play them/Bailey out left with our new RW on the right perhaps. As for the Barnes link I think he’s too tight to the touch line as I see a more Attacking Midfield being the priory out there (Simons please ) that cuts in and allows Moreno space out wide.

Good technically, knows where the goal is and can create too. He’s not on par with Mitomo (yet) but he is definitely a very, very good player in his own right. Probably too much of a gamble for us but if we’re looking for a cheaper left option for a 433 then he’d be a decent pick up I have to admit I like the look of Marin Ljubicic as well at LASK.

I hope, whilst we’ve been scouting Sporting that we’ve been watching Gonçalo Inacio as I think he’d be a cheaper alternative to Pau Torres and he’s a head stat wise, other than progressive pass distance.

Bumping these beauts as they’re gorgeous. Have the black third kit above as the GK shirt, perhaps with a yellow version for the away and swap the above 3rd design for the later vertical striped 3rd kit design (black/red) and we’d easily have the best kits in the league.

Hats off to the design work itself but for me that’s a bit to rugby top for my liking. Loved the striped Merson/Carbons era shirt though, perhaps it’s just the thinner stripes that’s putting me off on this one.

Agreed, gutted I never got a shirt that year, thought I’d pick one up in the sales and there were none left They were ridiculous prices on eBay last time I looked.
