  1. the impossible dream is a great tune that would sound pretty sweet on the terraces. However, I feel that many people will not know the tune, the lyrics or even want to sing it. It's also a very very very fiiting tune for Villa going forward. Developing into a bigger better, more together football club.
  2. It's not a waste of time at all. If I want to do it I will do it. When I made the Ashley Young video people seemed to enjoy it. To be honest the best emotion I have felt was when Liverpool sang you'll never walk alone just before the second half against Milan when they were 3-0 down. THAT's A FULL SONG!
  3. Killers - Human.... or shoudl I say Killers - Villa We did our best to notice When the ball came down the line Up to the front man of the Villa He had fought and he was fine And sometimes we get nervous When we see an open game Close your eyes Clear your heart... Cut the cord Are we human? Or are we Villa? The sign is vital Our hands are cold And we're on our feet Looking for the answer Are we human? Or are we Villa? (all start jumping up and down, singing the piano melody) it's purely random, but it's a great tune to use on the terraces. Tried as usual to keep the rhyming as clode to the original as possible, to make it easier to sing.
  4. Liverpool Win, Everton will never catch us and it's guaranteed 5th. if Liverpool wins I can say we WILL NOT finish below 5th.
  5. I agree that the ticketing section of the website needs a little 'visual improvement' and also think once a user is signed in, should be a lot easier to quickly get your seats booked. Amazons 'buy with one click' is a good example of making the user journey very simple. Details are saved, just requires confirmation of delivery and security details for card payment.
  6. as someone said anything under £100 I doubt they will bother chasing it. Purely because if the person says they cannot repay it back, they pass it onto companies that deal with debt collection. They will have their fee for taking on that case and I presume they will have a "minimum fee" of at least £25. I would take advantage of the offer. I wouldn't go mad, I would draw out £30, get another £30 and that covers me for Chelsea at home.
  7. you got a beefy daily limit or something I can only draw max of £250 in a day. Suppose you could get to Ibiza for that. Villa fans larging it up to "Panjoo" thanks to Nationwide.
  8. reminds me of the time someone I knew from school mistakenly got paid £1,200 (something like that), turned it was a cheque paid, but the person authorised it when the account details were wrong. He simply bought a laptop and when questioned said he didn't check his balance very often as he knew he was always in credit. Think the bank had to cover the error in the end, as it wasn't his fault. Time have probably changed though.
  9. ATM's Double Money Error Banks borrow £250bn then expect customers to pay back a few thousdan quid? hahaha, good on the peeps that queued up. Good on 'em. Hope they were the ones that needed the money the most.
  10. tonght I am having Bacon Toast butter beans and an egg. Jubly!
  11. he's not our centre half though....... "North Stand, give us a song, North Stand North Stand, give us a song!" "North Stand, give us a song, North Stand North Stand, give us a song!" "North Stand, give us a song, North Stand North Stand, give us a song!" "North Stand, give us a song, North Stand North Stand, give us a song!" "North Stand, give us a song, North Stand North Stand, give us a song!" "North Stand, give us a song, North Stand North Stand, give us a song!"
  12. you don't need the "just" in the second line, other than that works well. Still want my forever young chant to get going, but I need to get to an away game because me and my mates singing it seems to fall on deaf ears. It's been pretty loud in the Holte end the last few games which is probably why. Need to get banter going again between the Holte End and North Stand. I think the "North Stand give us a song" stopped once we moved the away fans to the right. Remember North stand responding with "shit on the city once" then the second verse the whole of the Holte kicked in.
  13. I am hoping we beat Chelsea at home. I think we will get 3rd at that point because we will keep up with them until that match. They have United today and Liverpool inbetween the two Roma games. then they have us. They will be tired and hopefully concentrating on the next round of the champions league too. I want them to get through so they will have their eye on something else. Liverpool to beat them and United, they can fight out 1 and 2 and we battle with Chelsea for 3rd.
  14. Conversely, we were 2-1 up at Villa Park vs WBA with 40 minutes to play without Carew.. Why didn't we put the game to bed with half an hour to go? this just proves that looking at statistics and making an assumption on the whole outlook of the team is pretty much POINTLESS and a MEGA FAIL! we all do it, and this is just on aspect of why football is the most talked about sport in the world. A simple game with so many variables and statistics which we think we can predict by some basic analysis. I love it. Everyones a player, ever managers a fan, every fan is a manager.
  15. So we miss this imaginary thing called a 'plan b' Plan A has got us 27 points from 12, which is title winning form....I'll stick with that, thanks. no there is no plan A and plan B, it's about being a dynamic 11 where you can craft many different opportunities in many different ways. We cannot hold the ball up well at all at the moment, and if we do, it's Gabby that is doing it, who is the main player you want running onto the ball.
  16. Yeah we are coping well without him, but I still think we miss him in terms of we can only play one way now. Carew is very good at holding up the ball and I think then, we don't have to rely on our pace and counter attacking power.
  17. If we score against Chelsea and go 1-0 up we need to sing 'Villa's Comin' to get ya!' Credited to someone on this forum who was dishing it to his mates.
  18. BBC Sport article What do you think peeps? I think it's fari play. Everyone knows United have more room to whine and moan than any other club. I think rafa has "selected" his facts pretty well to make his point. I think Ferguson will brush the comments off and just sets up a massive clash against them later on in the season.
  19. Ashley Young has been the best player in the Premier League so far this season.
  20. I very strongily disagree with you. The captain very much has a role on the pitch, a captain is the one who sets the tone, who leads and when the chips are down either by force or by example forces those around him to raise their game in a way someone stood on the sidelines can't. Think of the way Keane used to inspire his Man Utd side, of the way Viera would fight for the team and inspire those around him to fight, look at the way Gallas sat on the turf at Birmingham and Arsenal's season collapsed around them. Look at Terry playing for England in Germany last month. The captains role is vital. Couldn't agree more. Keane in the tunnel with Viera after his comments on Neville was exactly what you wanted from him at that point. Protecting "his" flock from the outside. Also I know from playing cricket if my captain starts getting pumped, tearing after balls through the in-field or giving a bit of banter to the batsmen, we all seem to follow and work together. Captains are there to unite people on the pitch. If the team is losing grip on the 50/50's I think a good crunching tackle by the captain soon sorts that out. There is a lot more to a captain than just it's status. For example you wouldn't make Nicky Shorey captain would you? it would be Friedel, Barry, Reo-Coker or Laursen, maybe Davies. But mostly you look for someone who can fit the role of Captain. Therefore it must have a purpose.
  21. Only if we could ban all religon....I'd happily give up Christmas for that!
  22. His voice was amazing and to me a talented musician as well, just like his father. His music isn't to everyones taste. But to say he wasn't 'talented at all' is uttely ridiulous. I suppose Lewis Hamilton is "alright" and Chris Hoy is "pretty good"
  23. Jeff Buckley should be number one, but doubt anyone will buy it becuase as much as he deserved it, he isn't that well known in comparison with X Factor winners. Rick Roll is funny to whoever finds it humerous. AND if we are being honest, the genuine "great tracks" to "Christmas number" ones is pretty low. But again, that is down to personal opinion.
