  1. Guzan Young, Laursen, Davies, Shorey Milner, Barry, Sidwell, Salifou Gabby, Fonz, If nothing happens, bring on Young/Salifou and Fonz/Carew at half time.
  2. I think "Where Eagles Dare" would be a great film to remake, a great plot and story with twists and turns. Burton: Clive Owen? Eastwood: Sutherland? Damon? I don't think the flow of the story should change much at all from the original, but the action could certainly be beefed up for modern day.
  3. Throw in prevention FAIL! I think if that ball had run it's course it would have destroyed Delaps attempts at long throws.
  4. Chicken Rezella (hot) Chicken Dhakeshwari (mild) Chicken Tikka Bhuna (medium) all absolutely awesome. Seetar in Kenilworth does all of the above bloody well.
  5. The only Beatles album I bought was Magical Mystery tour...check it out, it's bloody immense. Got most of my favourites on. I am the Walrus being one of them. On the note of worst cover ever....Oasis covering the above...shocking!
  6. no they can be any song/track/composition.
  7. Hey Largelugs, Good list, I think I like about 34 of those tunes the rest I haven't heard of or haven't put the name to the tune (am sure I know some of them by ear). Of the 34 I think 10 were in the running for my list. I haven't had a look where we cross over but I know Johnny Cash - Hurt is in my list. You a big fan of Doves? me too, then again not sure whether I put any of their tunes in my top 100, if not I will need to. Was listening to Lost Souls and Last Broadcast over the weekend, both brilliant albums. Seasong being one to mind.
  8. Yeah Ganster rap isn't to everyones taste. I just love the bassline in Forgot about Dre and I do like the way it tells a story, even though it's pretty ridiculous.
  9. You liking the list Ian? Any of the more obscure tracks you are a fan of?
  10. In the interests of trying something new, I just had a listen to that, and I quite like it - as far as it goes. But I do have this problem with "groove"-based music - from James Brown on through George Clinton and up to current dance-y stuff - I always end up thinking "nice intro - when's the song going to start?". Because that's what it sounds like: unfinished; a rather good backing track waiting for somebody to come and put an actual song onto it. At times it did remind me of some of the funky Stax instrumentals that the likes of Booker T and the MGs used to do, but even they would have had a human drummer and a couple of jazzy organ and guitar solos to give it some life and shape. But yeah, it's still OK, even if I wouldn't buy stuff like that. If someone gave it to you on a compilation cd would you listen to it though? I think equating a tune to whether you would buy it can be a bit of a no brainer especially with that RJD2 track. It's pretty much the only track I like on his album and even I wouldn't buy the album because there is one song in 12 tracks I like. That is the problem with some artists. New Radicals - You Only Get What You Give it's the only track I liked on that album as well, which is why I love bit torret.
  11. Johnny Cash - Hurt This isn't a tune you will think is "alright". You will either love it.....hate it....or go...it's not as good as the original. It's a lot different to the original. The video was voted by critics as one of the greatest videos ever. It basically sums up his entire life in a set of lyrics, which I think is why he picked it. His wife died a few weeks after this video was made, and I think he passed away a couple of months after, most likely of a broken heart. Sounds funny, but that happens a lot more than you think. And I think this would make an awesome video for someone like McGrath, Adams, Merson, Cantona, Best. Awesome players that had their flaws.
  12. By the way people 34 Ghostwritter - RJD2 If you have never heard that one and you like chillout/DJ Shadow then you will love this. It's a great track. I used to listen to it every morning.
  13. I did change the paragraph..... If I can find links to YouTube for them then I will do that. Might start this evening. But that can be an arse because people remove videos all the time.
  14. Yeah you will find it changes from time to time when you re discover an old track or a new belter comes out. I think one of the new Coldplay tunes will feature relatively soon. I think in the past year I have changed around 10 of them I would post it as a note on Facebook because when you change a tune, put what the old one was and the new one. So you know which tune you relegated.
  15. maybe the entries at number 35 and 38 by some other group will please him then :winkold: Haha missed them, well spotted! Alphabetic order rather than preference? Putting them in order of preference is near impossible. I would be changing it every day/hour!!!!!
  16. HAHAHAHAHAHA That's not unusual you know Will it be loved by ANYONE? Blue card here please! Shocking jokes. If you cross in a decent ball.....it's going to get hit on the Volley i'm afraid!
  17. HAHAHAHAHAHA That's not unusual you know Will it be loved by ANYONE?
  18. Yeah 'Tender' is an awesome tune. Not sure on 'To the End', will give it another listen.
  19. lol I already work and get paid a decent amount. I actually made this list after I got made redundant over a year ago, I just tweaked it and thought I would post it on here.
  20. Bowie, Hendrix and The Beatles are all good places to start. If you like the Beach Boys I emplore you to listen to Dennis Wilson. Personally, I would've added Faith No More, Love, The Band, Dylan, John Martyn, Anticon, They Might Be Giants...and many others to that list. Variety is what you want! it's the spice of life, especially where music is concerned. I will go as far to say I don't like a tune at all, but the melody of the vocals is pretty cool. So I will dislike a tune overall but like small aspects of it a lot.
  21. A person to avoid at parties then? I suppose I should have put a smiley at the end of it. More of a tongue in cheek comment.
  22. hmmmm 90 The Universal - Blur have just remembered 'Blur - Charmless Man' might replace it if I listen to it anymore.
  23. the numbers is purely to show there is 100, and to make sure I only put 100. Just to make sure someone doesn't have a go saying I put 99 or 101. Music is down to personal preference, not one person in the whole world will have the same top100 as me, the point is that I believe this is the BEST way of showing someone what music you truly like. If someone asks me what music I like, I generally will reel of this list, or just hand them my ipod shuffle with them all on.
