That'd be the best way to get the words around I'd have thought. I suggested that ages ago and people said I was a complete saddo! But you are right it is the best way to get word around. I just like the idea of us being original in some way and I think having some completely new chants to new tunes would get a bit of a different atmosphere and get families singing as well. I doubt parents will be sitting in the Trinity with their kids singing together "my old man" and "shit on the city" as much as they are good at City games (cov and small heath) I think we need to really try and get chants out there that won't just be sung by the Holte End hardcore.

I don't even know how we would go about getting us singers in a group together. Some clubs do allocate a section for people like us to try and get an atmosphere going. They generally have big drums etc, which I think we should try and get to be honest. Keep us all in sync.

Help do something to change it then Ya damn right. I myself do feel a little embarassed. It's like some of Villa fans can't learn anything new. I am sure our average fan's IQ isn't that low, but people against learning something new is contrary to that. It makes a better atmosphere at the club and we need chants that kids can sing as well. No it won't but what it will do is if any of us DO start the chants posted above, hopefully a few more people will know how it goes and sing along. You are right that if people don't sing along on the terraces it won't get sung. But more often than not people are too far away so hear what the words are, so unless a chant is sung in a small group near you or in a pub at an away game you have no idea how it goes.

Based on originality, likeness to original tune, how easy it is to learn and also based on the number of people in the thread liking it. Bear in mind chant is essentially music and is subjective but I have imagines the crowd singing these and they all seem to have the ability to be sung in unison and well if learned. OK Firstly Paddy I think we are onto a winner with the Bamboelo chant for Cuellar, needs people to listen and see if they like it. If we focus on one player get a chant sorted and then move onto the next player. We can get this done in no time. What people really like and how chants get sung easy if they rhyme with the original tune as close as possible.

I know what you are saying, it is a good chant but I only think we should use it if we really cannot find anything else. We can always use it anyway as people know it already. I really love the idea of Bamboelo though. It was Myleen on the M&S advert that got me thinking of it.
