Their Manager agreed to come here too (until their owner cried and he reneged on his word). We got Remi Garde as a consolation. He dodged a bullet there, it would have ruined him.

Like we found out last season, these new players need time to settle to find their groove, interested to see how he shakes out next season, although I hope we buy someone in the tier above to compete for that position, that would really improve us, maybe someone quick and direct (but not Adama). He's another one who performed at a higher more productive level when Grealish was on the pitch. I think our middle three currently don't offer much to support his endeavour by running into space, drawing players or offering themselves to maybe see the best from him, Luiz and McGinn are more withdrawn most of the time with defensive duties. He also plays better when Cash is playing with him.

It all points to us upgrading AEG and Traore in a front three (forget how they line up), this might include Ollie going wide and some one coming in to spear head the front line. Didnt Ollie play wide right in a front three at Brentford?

Much more entertaining than the seniors! They looked terrific, really well drilled, very smart and sharp interplay with an understanding of where team mates were. Lots of clever footwork too. Very confident build up from the back, lots of very good talent there. Barry clearly wasn’t at the races; Chukweumeka and that right back were very good indeed. Really enjoyed that.

Not far off agreement, but Berkeley was ok, you are showing the VT Berkeley hate that so many here have. Luiz was very average, happy to see him subbed. Thought Traore was ok on balance, but no worse than anyone else. I think McGinn leads a charmed existence. If we had a Targett #2 on the RHS we would be awesome, he is a brilliant player for us, if everyone played at his level we would be top 6.

I don’t feel that. I think it was even, we were not great. I think we are no better than them and they are going down.

Not much better than scrappers now. I think we have the players to be decent, but we have been in relegation form since Christmas. I think it’s now down to set up/tactics/management.
