He was doing to Fulham what RLC was doing to us all game, just running through the opposition using his physicality. It was great to see. He's arguably (along with Wes) the only player in our squad that can do this but its this plan B that we havent used often enough when Jack's guile doesnt work (it usually does) or when Jack isnt playing.We just dont run through teams directly into the box. Hopefully this strikes a chord with Smith and he uses this more often rather than in the last 10 minutes of a game we are chasing.

Loved the result but we were very poor again. I hope we learn from this and actually try to score. I’d start the final 11 from the start next game. I would add though, with the exception of Martinez, Grealish, Konza, Cash and Targett, I expected much more from everyone else all season and especially at the moment. Watkins just escapes this criticism basically because the service is rarely there for him, but he too could be a better version of himself if everyone kicked on

They will spend big in the summer what ever happens but I am seeing no green shoots from this bunch, Trez goal aside, and I am looking at Smith here. He’s a nice guy but if they appointed a bigger European manager, I could get behind that.

What a great story, what a terrific night for him. I thought it wasn’t going to be his night as it was so congested up there and he hardly had a look, but he kept moving and took the chance perfectly. A really lovely guy who deserves all this, he clearly works very hard and is well liked due to his honesty. Nice to have a story other than Jack and Tyrone. Hopefully all of this whirlwind will sink in and he will see he really is a very good player.

I am creeping back to this view point. The only thing that clouds this is he turned EVERYTHING around last season (but hasn’t kicked on), Mourihno is a top European manager and he is now terrible so it doesn’t necessarily follow.

Really rubbish: Clueless, disjointed, poor performances, players starting based on form shown 12 months ago, total lack of ideas on how to score. We are suddenly so poor in attack it’s unreal, we don’t look like we will score again. Something needs to change, a real shake up is needed.
