I think everyone barring Jack are in danger of losing their starting place this summer. If they spend big it could be 4 new midfield/wingers/forwards purchased for starting positions. Something has got to give....

I thought he was sloppy and for all his running was inneffective again. But saying that everyone was tonight. I am worried* he wont regain his form and may get replaced in the summer, relegated to squad player rather than first 11. *actually I am not really worried.

Its a pity. Doesnt work in full games which is hardly surprsing as he never gets the chance. I think the club need a better player and he needs a club better suited to him in order that he can showcase his talent. I think he would make a great Championship player in a front two at the moment. He is still young, he has a decent career in front of him but just not with us or at this level.

His regression is only slightly worse than McGinn's. Its a shame, could have been great if it wasnt for covid, the injury to both him and Grealish, and could still be but I dont think the club will now risk it unless the price is too good to turn down.

In a poor side, when he has played he’s performed well. Could be that dynamic, physical presence centre midfielder that can break up play and drive-the-ball-forward we are looking for?

Anguissa is a very good player, great pedigree too. Would love him here, would be quality.

In the game vs Everton I thought he was ineffective in the first half but after calling for him to be subbed at half time I kept noticing his positive link play in the second half despite being under the cloud of a yellow card. However he was busy and smart in link play but nothing spectacular or eye catching, but nor did I notice any notable tackles or defensive play. What do we want from that position? A barn storming blood and guts destroyer; a large physical presence who can break up play but also run with the ball; a busy deep lying midfielder who interferes with attacks, lingers around between the defence and the front 3 but has quick thinking link play?

He’s young, he has everything in front of him, he has the talent but we ask a lot of him. I think he could very decent but I would like new, direct competition for that spot.

Not for me. If others are being generous he was th ebest of a bad bunch, but he did little for me other than run into trouble and generally being in the wrong place. All the backside-out physical stuff did nothing today, I just don't see a player there at the moment, maybe a change on formation or personnel around him would improve him? I just don't know if he is one of those players who is great in the Championship but can't find his feet at PL level - there are plenty of them. I think he needs to be set free to get forward, he is very shackled at the moment.

Resigned to Barkley not working out, but also Luiz, AEG and McGinn are really only squad players and we need better in those positions if we are to improve. Thats a lot of money though and likely beyond us for one window especially when we also need another forward too.
