  1. We need him for the 2nd leg against Honduras! Was immense in the first leg.
  2. This thread feels like Groundhog Day at times. This outcome has always been the only possible one from the day Article 50 was triggered. If the deal the Government reaches with the EU is unpalatable there was never any time to renegotiate a better one. Really the UK government should have done some planning for what deal it was aiming for and getting cross party consensus on it before triggering A50 but here we are.
  3. It is being reported in a few places that a white nationalist rally with up 60,000 members drawn from all across Europe (including Tommy Robinson of the BNP) took place in Warsaw, coinciding with Poland's national day rallies.
  4. Surely the EU has to side with the elected Spanish government here, even if we disagree with Rajoy and his actions? They would be accused of being anti democracy if they overruled the elected government. Rajoy will not be around forever, the next Spanish government may take a different line on independence referendum.
  5. It’s not a British thing, it is a similar trend in all of the ‘west’. It is a response to the fallout from 2009 which is still working its way through the system. By a number of measures the GFC was as bad as the Great Depression 100 years earlier. Fortunately many of the worst aspects of the Great Depression (hyper inflation, the rise of Fasist governments etc) were staived off this time (by more robust social welfare programs and central government planning) but there is still a fallout working its way through western civilisation.
  6. How do we know when he purchased the gun? Perhaps he bought it before the discharge?
  7. I love this series, it is so simple yet brilliant
  8. No I think the Spanish government have acted like mugs all on their own but the push of independence seems to have been given a helping hand as well. It used to just be a fringe issue by a small group of Catalan nationalists, opinion polls used to say most Catalans wanted to stay in the EU and Spain. However there has been a swing and it's close to 50 - 50 now, the Spanish government's attitude and subsequent actions will have been party responsible but there is plenty of talk about a funding boost coming out of Russia as well.
  9. It's because she speaks with a lot more confidence and conviction than Spicer did but I am assuming you are making some sort of accusation of 'reverse' sexism?
  10. They need a proper legal vote from the Catalan people, similar to Scotland's, to settle the matter one way or the other but Rajoy won't allow it. Prior to all this kicking off the separatist movement was a clear minority run by nationalists and all polls indicated it would have easily been defeated in a proper referendum but the way Rajoy has handled it since has played right into the hands of the separatists. Who know's how it will play out now.
  11. I think the internet exposes people to a wider circle than they would otherwise have access to and for a majority of people this is probably a broadening of horizons creating a moderating influence. However there is a reverse side where scum bags have a network to easily find other scum bags and feed off each other. The wounded survivors of the Los Vegas shootings and their families are receiving a barrage of hate mail and death threats for being ‘crisis actors’ imitating a false flag operation by the US government to bring about gun control legislation. The parents of the children who were killed at Sandy Hook also continue to receive hate mail and death threats to their social media accounts to this day for similar reasons. Unfortunately this is also an aspect of the new normal.
  12. The very notion from the government that if the EU saw the analysis it would weakening the governments hand in negotiations is admitting the results are bad. A good outlook would strengthen the UK hand and the government would be releasing the information to show they don't need anything from the EU.
  13. He has written a number of executive orders, often undoing orders signed by Obama. As far as I am aware he has not signed any bills passed by congress as yet. Executive orders have a limited function, as in they are not able to use federal funds to be enacted.
  14. It could be straight out of a dystopian sci fi film.
  15. The "arse end of Europe" is a bit much. I would say Britain, France and Germany are the axis of Europe but you are obviously far stronger and much better off when working together than you will be when working against each other.
  16. Also worrying that this is the guy the UK are hoping will offer a favourable US/UK trade deal post Brexit.
  17. Not saying I believe this conspiracy but I could understand motive for wanting to project the idea of everything being 'happy families'. His redneck base love that whole image of an 'alpha male' with a doting submissive wife in tow. Whilst his evangelical base hate the idea of a marriage break up. There were rumours that Melania was not happy and was about to break it off break it off but for his surprise election win so there may well be some element of putting on a show in public.
  18. I like the way he says "My wife Melania, who is standing right here". Makes it seem more sus
  19. We're a famous old club with a big fan base. The league needs us more than we need them, we hold all the cards here.
  20. From memory I think this was also Awol's suggestion as to how it would play out but as people are pointing out the election since then may have changed things and potentialy removed that option from the table.
  21. Anyone remember the calls for Bosko Balaban to be brought into the side?
  22. What do you mean increasingly?
  23. I for one think those ISIS guys are an honest trustworthy bunch with nothing to gain from lying to us.
  24. Wait till the Russian hooligans rush the supporters at the back!
