Remember that Live aid concert years ago ? - it raised millions ......couldn't we do 'Villa Aid' - we have the stadium, we could bung , the who , robbie williams, and Beyonce a couple of quid and free pie - selling the tickets @ £250 - plus tv rights - we would be sorted...... I think I am wasted on here !

I did say it was only a theory - and qualified it further as I am not from a finance background. However why is Xia buying villa with borrowed money such a crackpot theory ? I could be wrong but I am sure other clubs have had ropey owners who passed the leagues test.

Theres you problem - buy shares you get a vote - not the same as control. I wish we could put a poll see how much people pay for a share of Aston Villa - for I would go to £500

Here is your answer. I think he brought villa with a loan - now he has owned for 2 years those repayments kick in - probably at very high interest rates. Wyness was asked to raise funds NOW - so he outsourced the catering and probably other stuff - we are mortgaged to the hilt ! Not a finance person though so its just a theory at the moment.

Unfeasible as it is - a supporter buyout would seem to be the only way to keep us out of the hands of loan sharks , finance companies etc....

But smaller clubs circle the wagons in adversity - all hands to the pump etc. Bigger clubs tear themselves apart - see Sunderland last season.

Really ? He came here with the idea of a quick return to PL funded by parachute payments. It hasn't happened and the cash is running out - He might not come out and announce it - but at the very least he is open to offers. IMO

Lets get a tad of perspective - with those amount of debts the club isn't worth much. so sure there will be lots of interest. I like the sound of the american geezer - but sadly I think it will be another eastern group.

Just read elsewhere that Xia is very keen to get the hell out of Aston Villa. He knows he has dropped an almighty clanger here.... looks like he's going folks !

Poor as he was Randy paid the bills - Xia .....well not so much !!!! A 3 - 4m bill seems a big deal to Xia - hence the possible apocalypse !
