  1. What sort of private parties do you go to TRO?!
  2. Not sure if others will agree but I don't think prime Ash was too far behind this level in his first stint. Top class winger for a couple of seasons. Slightly different players though, Ash stayed wide more.
  3. Proper football! Not seen footy this good since the 90's
  4. I agree there is a huge risk letting them go, the one bigger picture benefit of this is their development will accelerate vs if they stayed here. In a year or two we may have the potential of being able to resign a top quality player.
  5. Incredible passing and moving followed by a fantastic cross in the 2nd half that Oli should have buried. Looks a class act already.
  6. No problem here either, fully respect yours too. You'll know more about the potential options than me as I don't spend too much time watching other the other leagues. Be interesting to see who we do go for. If Chelsea are interested then I agree best to steer well clear. We were linked earlier in the window but I can't remember if it was one of the more reliable journos. Agreed the top teams don't have many English players in them. I agree, as long as the player adds quality who cares where they come from. Let's wait and see! UTV
  7. Jas I guess my point is that the so called £50m for Johnson could be structured the same way. Also there are rumours forest do actually need to sell someone to stay in line with FFP. We will have to wait and see, hopefully a busy couple of days.
  8. We don't know the value of any deal yet. We payed circa £50m for Diaby which is the sort of gping rate quality young players are going for. Some of our other links are just as expensive in either fee or wages (admittedly they are just rumours). For what it's worth I think Diaby is better but it was the only example I have
  9. I think with the extra clearance in finances we may go back in for Johnson. No inside knowledge just a feeling that enough people are looking at him to support the idea hes got what it takes. I've not seen a lot of him if I'm honest but if he's similar to Oli then it makes sense to me. Within our range too.
  10. Thanks lads I was using 964 for some reason
  11. Not working on BBC Scotland on sky though?
  12. Based on what we've seen so far I think those who think there will be little contribution are right. If he stays I hope we're wrong but I would definitely move him on given the chance.
  13. We should never have turned it permanent regardless.
  14. It's likely to be half the transfer fee we get for Digne and 75% or less of the wages. Makes a big difference for FFP. The other player we need to do this with is little Phil as he is a FFP killer too.
  15. Feels like selling Digne potentially creates FFP space for a LB & RB
  16. Think thats a bit harsh, he wouldn't get in our first team with everyone fit.
  17. In fairness it was Emery that made wide right one of his positions. Nobody would have suggested that as an option before last season, myself included.
  18. Would be a good move overall to move Carlos and bring him in.
  19. Only for the first year though right? You'd still have to offset the £12m for the further 4 years?
  20. That's a word I've not heard for a long time
