  1. After a disappointing start to the season, I think we all need to be patient with this side. However, I really, really, really hope we get rid of Hutton. I'm even happy to give other players a fresh start, but Hutton is absolutely awful and we need to replace him as soon as possible.
  2. We need a new striker and that Okore, playing up top for Luton, looks a great shout.
  3. I still think we need to be patient with the side but Hutton simply isn't good enough, despite the fact that his application isn't in question. People are crying out for a whole raft of new signings and while I'd certainly support several incomings, RB and CM are huge priorities for me.
  4. We really need to stop thinking everything is going back to how it was before when things don't go so well. That applies fans and certainly the players and staff, otherwise the rot will never stop. So in terms of positives, I've been really pleased with Grealish's willingness to get back and cover, despite Amavi's defensive shortcomings. We're all aware of how good Amavi is, but perhaps tonight is a reminder that he's still very much developing. Gardner is the weakness for me and although I'm happy to keep him as a squad player because there's clearly some ability there, he seems weak defensively and hasn't offered much going forward. If he can replace him with some quality, we should be fine. Still a work in progress.
  5. Oh, I would like to see Hutton replaced, though. Personally I'd much rather play Bacuna there, or Richards if he's staying.
  6. Unlucky not to get a point and I reckon we have plenty to be positive about. Just a shame we're starting off with a loss; hopefully it won't affect confidence too much and the pressure won't start mounting again. This needs to be a fresh start and patience is required. McCormack will be a great signing once he's integrated. Cissokho looked dodgy at times but we have Amavi to come back and he's fantastic. Hopefully we'll sign a central midfielder and we also have Tshibola to come in there, so we can take some control in the middle of the park. I think that's what we need the most and we'll be addressing it. It's very easy to think 'same old Villa' but although disappointment is all too familiar, we need to stay positive, get behind the boys and have a little patience while things come together. I'd be disappointed if we weren't pushing for promotion at the end of the season, but Rome wasn't built in a day and I still think we'll be looking at next season when we should expect to be going up.
  7. Can't fault the effort. The ref has been poor but Ayew's decision was totally inexcusable and moronic - he's hugely let us down.
  8. I understand that - it just seems a shame that there will be empty seats tomorrow, at least a couple of which could be filled but won't be. Maybe there's only me in this situation, but if not then perhaps we'd be closer to a full house if the club would have allowed customers with a booking history to purchase any number of tickets. People might even want to take friends to experience the derby atmosphere, but aren't able to? Again, I'm not saying that should be possible in a situation where genuine fans with booking histories are still wanting tickets, but with 24 hours to go and several thousand seats still available, I can't see what harm it would have done to allow fans to buy a few extra seats.
  9. Neither go as often as they'd like as they both have work commitments at weekends. Still, they have managed to attend a few games, but don't have their own client references as generally I'll just buy an extra ticket or two (or another friend will). Even with that aside, the fact that we seem to be a few thousand short of capacity would surely indicate that to 'expect' local derby tickets isn't so crazy. I'd understand if it were a nailed-on sell out.
  10. Trying to book three tickets but it's only letting me buy one per client reference. Obviously I understand them wanting to ensure SHA fans don't get in, but this is pretty frustrating. It's now looking like I won't be able to go, as the two who were supposed to be going with me (one driving down) don't have client references with suitable booking history.
  11. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.
  12. That's what happens when you put out ridiculously unbalanced teams like that. At least I got 7/1 on County I suppose. What are you going to spend your winnings on? Oh, wait...
  13. Traoré is giving Palace the shits. There'll be skidmarks all the way up that side of the pitch by full time.
  14. He's kept Carrick out of the game quite well in terms of his defensive contribution. That won't win us the game. I didn't say it would. I was responding to the point.

  16. He can score past the half way line against Courtois, anything you say here after is thus rendered incorrect. You can't even score from that far on FIFA15 you troglodyte. Oi.
  17. It's been like watching someone playing Fifa on amateur settings for most of the game. Not to take anything away from us - we've been determined and excellent. We've got such attacking menace and it's great to see us really take on the opposition.
