  1. Kodjia Adomah Grealish and then Snoddy in 2nd half.. take 4 of your best attackers out of Wolves.. they will struggle too. Geez weve been unlucky with injuries.. one time we had a settled team we won 8 in a row. Starting to think we are shit out of luck now.... If we make the play offs.. I hope these four (kodjia possible too I think) could return and make a huge impact.
  2. Offers very little going forward. I think sitting infront of the back four suits him the best. He works hard.. gets stuck in and can pass the ball forward. Out wide does not suit him.
  3. Im dumbfounded by his selections again. There is no plan B. Onomah is not upto it.. not at Villa. He just doesnt try. I would rather Callum O'Hare play. He may be a good player at Tottenham one day but to me it appears he doesnt want to be here. He is not an attacking player anyway. No Grealish or Adomah.. then Snodgrass goes off. We are left with Onomah Bikir to create something? Going 3 up top is one thing but who will create for them? Take off your best set piece taker? Would have preferred he take off Onomah or Bikir.. or even Mile. We couldnt retain possession. Bench.. Surely O'Hare or RHM would have been better options on the wing.. even Blackett Taylor.. rather than having two central midfielders outwide.. we had no width or pace in the side. Positives.. Grabban looked good. Thats about it really. Looks like we wont have Adomah and Grealish for the weekend either.. possibly no Snoddy now either.
  4. Imagine if we can field this team in a play off final. I wouldnt want to be the other side. ------------------------Kodjia------------------------- Adomah----------Grealish--------Snodgrass ----------------Hourihane----Bikir/Mile---------- Hutton-------Chester----Terry----Tuanzebe ----------------------Johstone-----------------------
  5. Adomah and Grealish (arguably our 2 best attacking players) are out.. and were replaced by Bikir and Tuanzebe. both defensive minded players (Bikir of late has been anyway.. although hes no good as an attacker imo) Would have preferred he played Grabban outwide.. left Snodgrass where he has been killing it on the right. Lansbury or Onomah at attacking midfielder (grealish role). Possibly even Bikir for Jedinak. We didnt need Jedi for that game. We needed legs to press Fulham. Mistakes with team selection imo. Bruce cant afford to be scared to play a half decent team. Probably why he has no luck in the premier league. Why change what was working? To score goals you need attack minded players. We didnt have enough of them against Fulham and therefore we suffered. Sat deep.. gave 70% of the ball to Fulham.. and we conceded. Game plan over. I thought this type of negativity from Bruce was gone. I hope were back on the attack against Preston. We shouldn't have to worry about any side in this league... they should be worried about how to handle us. Dont change our system for anyone. Including Wolves.
  6. I am shocked that Cardiff havent gone away. They have some good players but geez.. top 3? almost 3/4 of a season is ridiculous. Still plenty of games to go.. but surely there due a slip? we have had one or two already.
  7. Disagree. Leaving Elmo at rb. Playing bikir in midfield instead of mile. Leave snoddy where he is. Grabban in for grealish. More attacking. Fewer changes. Would have been the way to go. Even Lansbury. He chose two replace two of our best attackers with defensive midfielders. Whilst moving hourihane snoddy etc out of position. We looked lost.
  8. Andre Green to the wing and Snoddy in the central role would work imo.
  9. ah fair enough. Paper still sucks though
  10. I think Wolves will lose tonight... unfortunately i think we will too. Tough game which we have not done well historically of late. Be great to close the gap and if we beat them in afew weeks have a 6 point gap with 10-12 games to go. Put some real pressure.. as Bruce calls it squeeky bum time. Nonetheless.. i hope both sides go up. I am not from the area but id like more midlands clubs to go up
  11. his training with JT in the photo in that article lol. I seriously am giving up on that paper. Absolute piss articles with no substance. Based off other articles information and old information.
  12. Even though he didnt score.. that was probably his best game for us imo. The way he harassed their back line.. he stole the ball a few times.. held it up well.. closed space like a bulldog. Amazing what confidence can do. Really happy for him
  13. Its fantastic to see him finally live up to the hype. His attitude off the pitch had changed and hes worked alot harder. I guess having pro's like Chester Terry Jedinak Elmo (even Whelan etc) have made him realise what he needs to do to make it. He came through with the likes of Lescott Gabby etc. Also hes 22 now.. hes a man now. He has worked extremely hard to get back.. the injury made him realise what he was missing. Now hes firing and reaping the rewards. Credit to you Jack. This is what we all knew you had. Work hard off the pitch and you will be rewarded. No one ever doubted your talent. Steve Bruce may deserve some credit for his management of Jack too? *hides*
  14. Sad to hear.. plus his mum being ill.. tough time for the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Steve.
  15. 100%. He never worked this hard before his return from this seasons injury. I have no doubt the presence of JT has changed his mindset. You can see JT is constantly talking to him/hanging around with him. He is alot fitter.. working back trying to win the ball.. it adds to his overall performance and hes not just a passenger any more. Felt like we were playing with 10 men at times last year when he played. Credit to him.. this is what i have been most critical about him.. hes turned a corner.
  16. I dont care about his past. We dont need him. Grabban should be on the bench if Whelan makes way.
  17. Its not just the results that have changed.. its the way we play the match as well. Our passing % has improved since hes come into the game and we tend to dominate the match more. He also sped up our attack/counter attack as hes not scared to run or look for a pass forward to Jack or Hogan whereas Jedinak/Whelan would like for a pass to Hourihane or back to Terry which is obviously 1 extra pass. Little things like that can effect games. Its very noticeable imo.
  18. or Bruce said your still not fit enough. Ill give you two weeks to lose the weight and get back to your proper playing weight. We dont know.
  19. Bruce appears to pick players on the bench based on experience. Why Whelan was picked instead of Lanbury/Green/RHM? O'Hare has no chance of making a bench this season. Should have gone out on loan.
  20. What do you want him to offer? he scored plenty this year and last season he assisted with 10. Even this year he has 3-4 assists together with his 11 goals. Very underrated. Yes sometimes hes poor but he has that bit of quality every now and then.
  21. doesnt deserve one imo. He has stolen a living for far too long.
  22. Interesting today. Could be 2nd.. 6 points clear of 4th! 9 points from top.. if results go our way.. who would of thunk it.
  23. they are a poorly run club though Newcastle. He did well to get them up with that side.. hasnt had much money to spend. Rafa would be my choice in the Premier League. Bielsa still free?
  24. The guy hasnt had these off field issues before and has played and scored goals every season/club he has joined in the last 6-7 years. Lets look at what we can see from the outside looking in: - last year he divorced his wife and she took the kids away. Now this is a pretty big deal to anyone.. footballer or not.. taking my kids away would cripple me too. - he had that issue with his mouth that needed surgery. I remember seeing the pictures. - Fitness issues... due to depression or drinking who knows.. but clearly for him to get divorced.. there was something that caused this and hes had to deal with it. - Melbourne. He wasnt dropped for disciplinary issues.. he was injured.. that was dismissed the next day in Australian media. - In Melbourne he did what he does best... scored goals.. shit league or not.. he scored goals and got his confidence back. I saw Bristol V Bolton this morning.. that match was just as poor as any a league game. Poor poor game of football. Now.. these are his excuses/reasons for failing to turn up to training. Problem is.. in real life we still go to work. So Bruce was right to dismiss him. Bruce seems like a fair guy that will give him another chance if he proves it. Clearly if he has sorted his issues and he goes back to training... fighting and playing well.. then he will get a chance. I hope he does. Ball is in his court. Hogan/Grabban get injured.. he will be next one on the bench. Even Grealish getting injured.. id love to see RMAC in that number 10 role rather than Onomah. Again.. it will come down to him.. theres a spot for him if he proves to Bruce that he is prepared for the fight. I would this Snoddy and him would be friends.. did they play on international duty? maybe he can help him along. Deserves another go IMO........IF....... he comes back with the right attitude.
  25. Grabban off the bench against tiring legs is a great option. Much better than Davis at this stage of his career.
