I know you have to lose sometimes and I don’t like it never mind Gerrard! I can accept losing to a better side if we have a go! Today was rubbish and it’s on Gerrard. His players or not we pay him to get a tune out of them. Is it acceptable to watch performances like that until the end of the season?

I came back from the Leeds game thinking how much it resembled Brian Little’s 4-4 draw with Leicester. We struggled for the remainder of that season finishing 4th from bottom. Sir Brian then had a full pre-season and his own players, to which we won the Coca- Cola cup, FA semi-final and finished 4th! I’m not saying Gerrard can or will do the same or come anywhere close. He’s got the summer to stamp his mark at a minimum. However I remain to be convinced as it’s very rare great players make great Managers. I personally think he’s out of his depth!

I was called a bluenose on this forum for calling out Cash a while ago. It’s was a disgusting comment by the so called Villa fan! Still say average at best and needs replacing. The tackle he got booked for was rash at best!!!

Entitled? Entitled to more than the rubbish that was served up today. What I’m saying its not acceptable to have us being treated as a ‘learning curve’ for up and coming Managers? I just don’t think it’s acceptable, however I respect your opinion

Exactly! He’s a trier though is a statement which annoys me most. So was Frank Carrodous but it doesn’t make you anymore than average at best.

Why? Is it acceptable that we are now little Aston Villa who should be grateful to have SG as our Manager? If things should be put into perspective then are we supposed to accept that we are only BIG in our eyes and that’s it?

I got absolutely slaughtered for stating that earlier on in this thread. He’s championship, lower PL at best. John Gidman and Kenny Swain he ain’t and never will be. Both were converted wingers. We will not get £40M of anyone’s money for him.

What I object to, and will probably get hammered, is our club being used as the learning curve for a promising Manager! Wether it’s Gerrard or whoever it’s not acceptable. We had it with Turner, Venglos and others. I’m fed up with it and the bar should have been higher given the fan base and owners we have.!

I know he’s got a mistake or two in him, but who would you replace him with? Just needs more focus and better decision making.

Outgrown him. Question is who replaces him? I’d take £50M of anyone’s money for him. Everyone loves a trier though, but we need more!
