Can't predict a starting XI but worth saying that this is perhaps the strongest our squad has been for a very long time. 46 games to play and we have two decent players in every position and a seemingly sizeable pot of up and coming youth players. Good work

The fact we spent loads is probably related to the fact that we didn't have a viable team to start with. The rest of them have built their teams over time, ergo you spend less to make the final big jump. I hope we spend wisely this summer on a few additions as we take our 'final jump'.

3 or 4 signings max Will need a keeper, Johnstone or not. A solid reliable partner for Chester at the back. Someone with clear ownership of the midfield which will release Hourihane and take the pressure of Jedinak to play every week. Grealish should be playing behind the front players somehow and although we probably have enough out wide in Green, Adomah, Amavi et al to make it work I'd probably bring in a wide man with quality.

Not a thread for transfer speculation (player recommendations welcomed) but more geared towards what necessary improvements are required to gain promotion next season. A few things from me: Goals from midfield and a second goal threat other than Kodjia - we have lacked goals for years now and it's one of the main reasons we are where we are! Quality not quantity in the transfer window - that's enough rebuilding, let's add difference makers that can get the job done week in week out. Seeing teams off early - we've scored 3 goals in a game only twice this season (by my reckoning against Rotherham & Cardiff). Share your thoughts...
