  1. Again all about perceptions of substantial funds. It would have been useful perhaps if a number could have been clarified. "Bruce can you definitely deny the figure is less than the 20mil quoted but is still in the region of X?" or something.
  2. No. Liability. Hendrie's a liability too - but I'm thinking more of dressing room here. Lee Hendrie is just stupid now and then, ee Bowyer's a prat pure and simple.
  3. I'd sing it. It's got a ring to it. Much better than the blooze ones which are frankly boring or pathetic ( tracey andrews )
  4. Ian Taylor and Shaun Teale for me - yeah I'm a younger fan
  5. So are you going back on the statement we're not a big club? PS how did we build on that success compared to clubs like Liverplop Arsenal and Chelsea who were all around us at that time?
  6. 1890, 1900 & 1910 weren't it? Get over it, we've never been a footballing giant, just the odd victories here & there. We are the most forgettable european champions in England & we're not considered a big club by the media. ........... well not at the moment, now but this is the same media who write long platitudes about Spurs being amazing - and they aren't so the reliability of some london idiots in the press is irrelevant. If you don't consider winning leagues and a European Cup and several trophies the mark of a big club then fine have it your way. Most forgettable? Are you addicted to being pessimistic and looking down all the time? How about wanting the club to repeat it's past glories? how about wanting a club with a stadium and fanbase like ours pushing on and challenging the top sides for honours? We have the base, but absolutely no hope or investment at the top. Cash has got Newcastle and Leeds into Europe ( even bother replying about Leeds financial situation, and I'll rip your tits off ) Jesus **** christ. Are you Ellis' lovechild or something?
  7. 2 sausages in an oven. 1st one says: jesus it's hot in here!" 2nd one says " **** me a talking sausage!"
  8. Well I think in the scheme of things Arsenal away was the most likely place to drop all 3 points so I'm just holding out for a decent performance, maybe a memorable goal or something but I still think we'll lose 4/5-1
  9. you must be joking It's Beattie ( unlikely ) or no-one.
  10. 5-8th. We have an excellent first team squad, improved with Laursen replacing Johnsen, and Cole as back up for Crouch. 2-3 more players and I'd say 5th ahead of the Geordies, 1 or 2 and I think injury problems would see us in 8/9th again.

    Aston Villa

historically and potentially yes but currently no. I believe they're perceived to be a stronger side than us at the moment. They're in Europe are htey not and are a side who compete for the Dutch title. They are a club who nurture the talents of the likes of RvN and Ronaldo too, but admittedly this is usually with the view of selling them on after a bit. Being an Premier League club gives us a slight edge, but not competing with the best at the moment gives them the edge.
  12. Tommy H was the man I voted for. Really improved of late, has a sweet left foot and someone I like to model myself on - purely on the basis that I have a left foot. and i like to shoot from distance. except i miss. all the time. Gav came a close second though, then JPA
  13. So have I. I can see 2 against the Scum and then he'll easily average about 0.8 goals a game whatever it is to do it.
  14. With confidence, a creative winger and in form strikers we can easily secure a top 10 finish. Look at the teams around us - nothing to fear? As for top 4 I think Newcastle and Liverpool will still finish above us. Yes they are struggling but when they need to they can turn it around. Charlton I think will round out the top 6 and after that - who knows? I think 7th is possible. Anyway we should finish above the shite no problem
