  1. il be at a cocktail bar then getting very drunk so not going to watch a pointless easy win for england which will reveal nothing positive about the side, a boring 3-0 win really
  2. I voted Dalton, if only to be different. Connery was very good, and I can't comment on Craig yet as I havent seen the film but he sounds like I Bond I'll enjoy seeing based on comments here. Lazenby was woeful, Roger Moore hilariously bad though he did seem to get the films that were competing with Star Wars... Moonraker anyone?:lol I liked Dalton's two films as I thought he was appropriately miserable. I haven't got anything really against Brosnan, he's just a bit too sleek really I guess, although Goldeneye is one of my favourite films.
  3. explains plenty of my old school friends recent "body expansions" then I suppose
  4. aaaarrgh this thread is ,aking me yearn so much for a good old british chippie at the chipshop usually salt and vinegar, ill add the sauce later when i get home, altohugh if you're talking about a grab nrun n scoff then i'll have the old ketchup on too. Never seen the mayo fascination myself mind. Mayo is the preserve of chicken salad sandwiches imo
  5. I'd love Geremi too, but Jose rates him too highly to let him go I think. CHelsea need him as their competing on 4 fronts still, but maybe in the summer id like to see us go for him
  6. I have to admit to not having a hatred of any of the sides really, but I should qualify, i have never lived in Birmingham and hence know hardly any of the rival clubs fans. Of all of them, the stench emanates greatest from SHA, and their porn dwelling upstart boards with slag in tow, and I do have a slight wish that they somehow crash and burn and fold, but I wouldn't call it hate. Pity perhaps. Still beating them is very enjoyable nonetheless, but tbh I couldn't give a monkeys about the other sides, and frankly I'd love to see Derby, WBA and Wolves all go up this season as I'd love to have a few decent derbies to go and see.
  7. Id be gutted if ze bought a left back in this window, Bouma has been playing really well for starters, and mon may want to see how jlloyd does if bouma gets injured. priority one mccannesque signing priority two another striker priority three winger / perlaanent right back ( summer )
  8. yes it would be bloody funny to see Young just turn around and go " erm yeah right mate, I want the GOOD side in claret and blue"
  9. taken off another forum though so can't provide exact link. Steve Curry's Dail Mail though isn't he?
  10. west ham have had accepted a 10 million pound bid for ashley young they can have him for that price, no wonder managers buy overseas
  11. Players like Young will always look to the future as well, and will see that ours is rosy, but if that future can be realiased quicker elsewhere then they'd take it I think. If bids are accepted for Ashley I think we're still lowdown in the pecking order sadly interesting odds from sky though.
  12. I think I'd be pissed off if we signed Harewood, I mean I know back the manager and all but, if we got him for 20k and on a 6 month contract until we get the bigger players in then fine, but we won't will we?
  13. completely my sentiments too. Even though its poor now I cant be too disheartened cause I know the future's going to be great, this was always going to be a tough spot. Merry Xmas general eand good health to you and your family!
  14. that was brilliant, wish we had characters like that now.
  15. quality, absolutelely hilarious and er im sorry if this has been mentioned before, but with regards student ticketing prices, my only request is to get rid of the stupid rule which says only students under the age of 21, as I find that annoying in the extreme, if anything those students at the end of their courses are going to be in more debt than those who are just starting out. Im 21 now btw hence the concern as I would like to be purchasing my first season ticket next summer, but paying ad adult price despite being a student still would be very offputting
  16. man utd, because noone can touch the classlessness of kenyon drogba and co, bar perhaps el hadj diouf

    What are you?

dogs are amiable and are only irritating when they want to procreat with my leg. Cows on the other had stand there doing sod all, crapping everywhere, but they do give me a good steak. Generally I have no strict moral line, I dont fancy domesticated pets, or dolphins, but will give most things a bash. back home we ve had cows pigs sheep and even ostriches on the farm, not once have I ever felt I was being cruel to the stupid bastards. Ostriches are so dumb its a mercy killing to be honest.

"To be fair all the students posts sum up what Uni is. It's where dossers go that don't want to work. All the positives that have been posted about uni are the social life and ways to pick easy courses that don't start till the afternoon! " ok, being serious for a moment as much as I do the dossing around too, I think I would have failed miserably if id gone into the workplace straight after school. The social aspect is just as critical for someone being able to go on and do a decent job than if they hadn't. Without Uni and as a result the confidence and people ive met id be doing bar work til im dead. That said I think there's still a strong case for streamlining courses a bit, making them 2 instead of 3 years etc and filling the week a bit more productively.

to be fair it does depend what degree you do. I had flatmates who were doing proper stuff like law and psychology and working quite hard even in the first year. I, on the other hand, had no lectures before twelve and a 5 day weekend

Im at Cardiff at the moment doing a degree in french and ancient history. Socially its the best thing that happened to me, as after school I was a very naive 18 year old, so being able to grow up without the hassle of a job was good fun However, I am a wee bit concerned about the debt, my money management isnt great. Im currently on a sandwich year out in Nantes and the day my grant came through, I went on a 4 day day bender with mates geting through about 300 quid aka a months rent. But then again Ive got the freedom to enjoy life a bit, learn a few languages _ ie im taking up italian and russian in my spare time atm, and I plan to take up something really weird like arabic or chinese next year, and then go into a job on the back of a degree. Job wise I havent got a clue what I want, and Im not manicaly driven to follow a certain preforession. ANy job that allows me to travel a bit, and has some sort of ladder I can try and climb will do me, but I think the social bzenefits, meating loads of people, and getting about a bit, will stand me in better stead for all that job malarkey my folks keep reminding me of. oh and i love part time student jobs, be it barman jobs or the odd day working in the milennium stadium etc, all part and parcel of it imo. opportunities to do loads of stuff, get involved with societies etc if thats your thing _ I was involved with the french society at our uni last year, and we just got given a budge to organise two large "french" evenings, which involved just drinking wine all night, and a trip to paris, so basically I love the experience to bits at the moment. Oh and I also took a year out and worked as a teaching assistant in Canada for a bit before Uni which definitely helped a bit. Working in the real world is a definite plus.
  22. a notts forest link, the same club that spawned that scurrilous rumour earlier on about one of our players.
  23. to be fair I hardly think thats an outrageous claim hmm yes we're 19th in the league and managed by Ratty. I think we'll spend around 10-12mil on two players in Jan
