  1. I was just reading through last year's accounts for the Holding Company - the club made a small profit. It also updated on the cost of player trading after the accounts had gone - and I think including the January transfer window for 22/23 (and including Stevie G going and Emry coming) and it said we made £47.9m in sales with costs of around £63.4m. So that doesn't sound like it breaks 23/24's budget, particularly with a loss of "only" £37m for the year before? https://s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/document-api-images-live.ch.gov.uk/docs/AQN7K4mAuX9l2YCCCLr7j3-XPTwC7mmlxHkipUak4Zg/application-pdf?X-Amz-Algorithm=AWS4-HMAC-SHA256&X-Amz-Credential=ASIAWRGBDBV3NFMHY2NT%2F20240229%2Feu-west-2%2Fs3%2Faws4_request&X-Amz-Date=20240229T165854Z&X-Amz-Expires=60&X-Amz-Security-Token=IQoJb3JpZ2luX2VjEBwaCWV1LXdlc3QtMiJHMEUCIDFe3hmbZr3QIiJzk4521LbrPvgjuv0XW37nlZS6SjgGAiEA%2Bxpxx5blgttd5xzUPm%2BniaeDLtK7ssvTn3ocFMCOv74quwUIFRAFGgw0NDkyMjkwMzI4MjIiDF3Odsfv6E8ks0DvjCqYBUdFrBnsBzbJZu5LkX03YYt6XAsldceWqULmzaT0uVK%2F%2FXP%2FG6gNjXf2dUAdmK275rqatNXb8obpGjXudcN3lVT2nvBvMKXda45jRGTIiduRCM8Ku%2FP1RKdCCPCCeXMOVECn4g%2F37rjHPPnR3jVX4uxeXn9pSxMjlfkKwCIdLQ3Aqf3OquL%2BEKwHfcfEHVEa9dp0irL9qQDvRsmfUryz9BG%2BUrup2dUQ4W889cg7Jdx3J3sU6F2iCDgWE8%2B3KVVW%2F1%2F4CWuu4rpoOodDDa0D5WHbJAjX9kOKeHjxuWcc%2F8ZOgaH7wqwH6Jly8PCZKoRFmMm1yJT0Y%2FdO759HSjNvzuCMtXGizQyBVVIpSGXN4OJp1W%2BMFGg5QToj%2FRVYre%2BnN0DfTWMtcWR7jbNmFRojL6cSceggbvoz7eSEg3smz9rahj7IqYN1%2BUfe6sbz8bGZK845wpzgcJuZroILyPcolCVhOuJuB1lvVuWV9SLp32B%2BdiefkcDikdnMyFr9Mf1dPEnURRkmi1HyZ9K4kOFzmAzYdmhsSD7eF4KUTh%2B9FXIaEvHzE5bVIu263PnmvnqC%2B9JSaDuzGoDYtyU1Qlda%2BrDnXjNXMw4cQxcAHdCczzxWO76CmKnTBDzkBhcO5bSWcHC18l8Z4CZsdtnXHHtbHsmcoNH361JcX66jX8HsPOYPFYzt8GbVT3w0eK1Xb4s%2FDhtl5s05eijM6HHokakMyNGTYbr024%2BGTwdSgnLxIgAF0HAcn2BmGjT50FgDPeft8Du7qDyrwuitwpH%2Be1XqYlm6v%2F9aaqz%2Bk2%2BXTfOAQP2E%2F7wcLxitKjrNNhQ9lREoPRwX0RaK04Z%2FeHDzlZCap3O8CdLCQsZbKK4w9Int9DhnKlP8A0WYPbQwstmBrwY6sQFEGd8SJxNLoDcLhkT5AqkmblkcBSt1syYU71nFiPFf3tPRlgkRDGfi%2FNGeC%2BN496pWd%2FJGwHqaeti7K7HdIRpKrAPty5FGpoJMauXi%2F%2BLIbrdgA7DB2qOmRq0Ajv15qdeVDf3ztIqHBEwuVypz1Z6MCKeKL9%2BTMb%2BvueZJbuREb81PaCA0kbBp1h1yhqaRVVPZdjqR3sKPVoU4wuBmPFrZqzbpUNPPbqy5CQVlcI%2Feuh4%3D&X-Amz-SignedHeaders=host&response-content-disposition=inline%3Bfilename%3D"companies_house_document.pdf"&X-Amz-Signature=250d87fd311e6e81d3492a47009f6296a1fba69564eec9a2709cf35045a85bdf
  2. Other than the club crest and c@ck s!cking, what else was on the agenda?
  3. I wonder if this is more to do with sponsorship income? Won't the new Adidas deal have kicked in by the end of June, but probably not by the end of May? And probably other new sponsors will sign up from 1 June too - so if we've had a real push on raising income from sponsorship, could this be the reason?
  4. You'd think UEFA would signal in the published document if their assessment was we couldn't play in their competitions based on the numbers they have?
  5. Villa's accounts will be published in the next 2 weeks - if history is anything to go by - so hopefully all will become clear then.....

    The NSWE Board

I have seen Chris Heck say that too - but there isn't a planning application in place for this - so will they use the existing footprint of the building and just expand within that?
  7. I agree - I am expecting a big announcement on the future of the stadium as part of the 150 year celebrations. I think they know two of the stands aren't good enough and that Trinity needs remodelling - and I expect them to come up with a solution. Probably just not the current North Stand plan!
  8. Was there an informal FAB meeting on 30 January? I think I saw there was somewhere, but can't find anything to back that up....
  9. I think this may well be the start of moving to a new location. If they're saying the current public transport infrastructure and parking doesn't support a 50,000 stadium and that's what they want, I think there's a real chance of looking at a move....

    The NSWE Board

I think this is being used to raise funding for the North Stand and other Villa Park improvements - it says the money will be used to fund growth and infrastructure investment.

    The NSWE Board

This may well be the case - but there is a separate company that holds the stadium as I understand it: NSWE Stadium Limited. https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/10883540 So wouldn't this be the place to transfer funds for the North Stand? I don't know as I'm not an accountant and all this stuff confuses me!
  12. I think the new North is about 13k capacity?
  13. Thanks! - Update on the stadium project - when will the Warehouse be delivered (I am sure I read the hope was to have it open Summer 2024) and what is the plan for the North Stand and Trinity - What are the plans to improve the Dough Ellis Stand - both in the short term and long term? - Master plan for Aston - keeps getting mentioned - how is it progressing? When will we see it? - Commercial Strategy - how are they doing bringing in partners that are top tier (ie not BK8) are they going to do a training gear sponsorship? What is the target for income from sponsorship? How close are we to closing the gap with the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Newcastle? Sorry - lots like normal!
  14. How did the informal session go last night, @OutByEaster??
  15. Is it likely there'll be an update at the informal Fan Advisory Board tonight?
  16. Thanks. I guess you won't be able to give a readout of 22 November? Will the club ask for agenda items for 20 December?
  17. Is this open yet? I would have thought the club might make a big announcement about it? Isn't it meant to be used for match days too?
  18. I don't think they'd be able to get away with that, given I understand the bid is binding. Might be wrong though!
  19. @OutByEaster? What was your view on the the North Stand/Warehouse development starting? In the MOMS write up, they seem to suggest further delay?
  20. @OutByEaster? given planning permission has just been granted for the North Stand and the Warehouse - could you ask when the work will start and be completed on both please?
  21. It may have been mentioned elsewhere in the thread - sorry if it has (I couldn't see when I skimmed). Both of the new applications are coming to the planning committee on 28 September - and both have recommendations from the planning officer to grant: Warehouse: http://eplanning.idox.birmingham.gov.uk/publisher/docs/A052B29C4280E1D878C47A51AC983DEC/Document-A052B29C4280E1D878C47A51AC983DEC.pdf North Stand: http://eplanning.idox.birmingham.gov.uk/publisher/docs/5504253B551A22A551760706A00A3793/Document-5504253B551A22A551760706A00A3793.pdf Interestingly the planning for the North Stand will only be valid for 2 years - so they'll need to get a move on, and it does allow for the building of Villa Live - just separate from the North Stand. Hopefully the club will let us know the plan pretty soon after permission is granted (if it is)
  22. @OutByEaster? are there formal minutes yet, or are the club dragging their feet?
