Agreed, but they are very capable of manufacturing their own arms. It's a massive industry there.

Oh, I know.  But it would maybe give them something to think about.

How would Israel stand if all western cash stopped?

  2. I've had a couple of vindaloo's and they are really tasty, but then about 2 thirds of the way in the burn just takes over the flavour, so I tend not to have them.

Not really fussed about madras.  I'll happily have a korma or tikka masala just because they taste nice and sweet.

Not fussed about the meat (in increasingly small portions) in the sauce either.  Just give me curry sauce and naan bread and I'm happy.

You see as someone who doesn't check scores this could mean anything. Battling for relegation, winning the Champions League, bankrupt, installing Gerrard as manager, anything at all. It's too early for them to be playing so it must be a comment on the season. I will go for Gerrard.

Edit. Jesus Christ. When did Villa get good.???

Why are you even here?! 😨

Maybe not, especially if you've kept all the old clothes, toys and stuff. It's a whole lot of work and stress for less than an hour and a half at minimum wage though.

If it were a financial decision and you're not having them because you actually just want to have another kid, it'd make more sense to do a couple of hours with Deliveroo or something.

    Was kidding, ya Doyle :P

  5. Also, just because we MAY (in your opinion) have had high teenage pregnancies, doesn't mean the UK pregnancy rates are not in decline.  It's comparing two different things.

As @Stevo985 said, every generation moans about the preceding and upcoming generation, always will.

Kids behaviour probably hasn't largely changed, but parenting methods have, generational changes in how adults act & work have definitely changed and therefore there will be subtle changes in childrens behaviour.

At school, things are very different from 30 years ago, teachers jobs have changed a lot and they don't have the facility to physically touch kids now, plus we live in a culture of suing etc.

I have said it before, and I will say it again, kids are words removed. Anyone who has shared a table at tea time with a child will know that they are absolute words removed. Because they are your flesh and blood, your babies its difficult to think of them as words removed, but they do not give a shit for you or your feelings, or indeed your financial outlay. They are words removed.

Their Id has not yet developed, but their Ego's and Super Ego's certainly have.

It's nothing to do with being liberal. It's being lazy to have an easy life in the short term without considering the long term negatives.

I'm already worried about my son being a fuss eater and he's not even old enough to know what fussy eating is

Be wary of this.  My eldest used to eat anything.

Then he went to school and learned from other, shitty.. I mean fussy kids that it's cool to be fussy and now he's much more fussy (not to @villa4europe s degree thankfully).  One kid he knows also brought "I feel like I'm choking" to his attention, so he's regressed into an absolute moron when it comes to eating, chewing something 500 bastard times before he swallows it.

It's a phase, but it's doing my **** head in.  Also "I don't like crusts" is an excuse to have 2 bites of a sandwich and throw the rest away, but there's always somehow room for more sweets/chocolate..

    Grr.

Can't you just fashion the gimp suit in the boot into a tyre to get you to the nearest Kwik Fit?

You might be onto something there.  But, I’m in her car, not mine, and I didn’t transfer it 😩

I need Hannibal from the A Team.

I'm also seeing a numpty confess to not being able to see "the worlds biggest pothole" before he hits it :D

If your car doesn't come with a spare tyre, buy one :P

    Fiat 500s aren’t big enough 😭

luckily I was doing 40 in a 60 because it could have been much worse.

    oh well, shit happens.

See all I'm seeing is a numpty confessing to not being able to change a tyre :D

I would, if the car HAD one.

and the puncture repair is pretty useless as theres a whacking great hole in the bastard thing 😂

  11. Using my wife’s new car to drive to Alton towers for work, allowing her to use our bigger car to take the kids to safari park seemed like a great idea, until I hit the worlds biggest pot hole and burst a tyre.  Two hour wait in a farmers farm entrance (kw) for me, towed to Stafford, the home.  It’s absolutely pissing down and I probably won’t be home now until gone 9pm.

    oh well :)

  12. I always think of villa's wider perception and hope that people think of us as a pretty big club, who traditionally are a big name, who have fallen on more difficult times recently.

I think most other clubs (maybe not their fans), think of us as quite classy, the way we hold ourselves as a club.

Unai is the perfect fit for our whole ethos and culture.  He's quiet, calm, influential, intelligent, diligent, calculating, positive and driven.

"Prepared" is what springs to my mind, and I think that's inherently beautiful.

I can only hope that "bigger" opportunities don't tempt him away from our club/project, for years to come.

I hope that determination, drive, ambition and striving for perfection doesn't ever leave him.

In my lifetime (36), we've never had what feels like a perfect match for a manager, and I include Brian Little on that, as yes, he's a legend, but his coaching wasn't up to the same level.

We tend to have 3-4 year cycles on decent managers, because year 3.5 onwards always seems to see a decline, I can't see that happening, should Unai stay for that length.

  13. Always looking to be positive and with our transition through the middle needing to be quick, there's not many better players at getting their heads up and playing the ball forwards. His assist to Bailey on Sunday was a good example of a pass that maybe others wouldn't have played, because bailey had 4 defenders around him.

  14. I reckon Emi M saw more of the ball than anyone else tonight, everything started through him.  He's just next level and we wouldn't have created half the chances with any other keeper in goal.  I know that's a weird thing to say, but Emi's game management is amazing.

Obviously Youri came out of his shell tonight and I voted him POTM.

That little bit of stick the AZ fans gave Bailey just pissed him off enough to make him shoot (and score), he was great.

Back 2 were really good and thought Lenglet looked calm and assured.

Matty Cash had a tougher game than most but did well.

Digne was solid enough at the back and good at getting forward and helping with attacks, providing that width we sometimes lack.

Luiz was quiet for him, yet still had a few moments of sheer class.

Mcginn huffed and puffed and his assist was pass of the night (Emi had another, slicing though 3 players at one point), lovely goal for our Scottish hero too.

Kamara with his 1 in 4 games suicide pass got lucky early on, but pretty assured and good afterwards.

Ollie was in a proper battle with their CB, but got his goal and took it calmly.

Just an absolutely superb night all round in what could and should have been a very difficult game.

Doing this well tonight will hopefully help with recovery on Sunday too, so an added bonus.

    10/10, well done Villa ❤️❤️❤️🥰❤️❤️❤️

How do you get English subtitles on? I can only seem to be able to turn on the Portuguese auto-generated ones.

    Just learn Portuguese, idiot.

    Or Google Translate.. ;)
