  1. I don't worry about Sanchez not getting into the team, I worry he will be pushed either right of left to accommodate Westwood playing in the middle, which is what happens. When we signed Sanchez we all thought we'd signed a great holding defensive midfielder in the makalale mould, which is what we have. While Westwood was injured Sanchez played that role, dominated the opposition and gave the ball away very little. Since westy has been back Sanchez has plated right or left and gets lost giving the ball away the same amount as our westy who Is playing in his supposed strong position. Watch the next game Westwood is often just In front of our defense when long balls are played out and will miss a header or head it straight to the opposition. He won't win a tackle and is poor at pressing. He'll also struggle to find one if our players when put under pressure and will give the ball away. In fact the only reason he seems so good to some of you is that he receives the ball in space alot as he stays back and there's no pressure on him, instead then if bringing it forward or looking for a through ball he'll simply keep it 'ticking over' by playing it to hutton or cissockho, watch the next game and tell me that's not a perfect review of his game. For some reason some if you applaud that type of performance. There was a perfect example yesterday where Westwood received it in space and was ambling sideways as usual with the ball and gil just ran up took it off him carried it forward and then pushed out to Westwood in space in the wing putting us on the front foot, I'll take that over the ball going out to the full back any day. And for anyone who tells me Westwood can pick a pass etc, why have we created so little recently? If it's because there's no forward movement then what passes exactly has Westwood been picking?as far as I see it he's a league one player stealing a living in the centre of the field for what should be one of the biggest teams in the league. I know you think I'm on a wind up but this guy is distinctly average and the fact that others are displaced to a accommodate him is ridiculous and taking us down
  2. Anyone who thinks Ashley Westwood is a good player has a fundamental misunderstanding of football. Twice yesterday he gave the ball away I'm deep lying positions, which, as the holding midfielder that Sanchez should be is unforgiveable. The fact the he is able to go from game to game without having made any important contribution of any sort says it all. It's no coincidence that a team built around a central midfielder whose only decent trait is being able to pass to a full back accurately has been battling relegation for three years straight. Shambles that Sanchez is kept out the team for this league 1 footballer
  3. Can I just remind people when Sanchez had two man of the match performances as the holding midfielder that I said when Westwood came back Lambert would push Sanchez out and he'd lose his effectiveness but that you would a say he's just gone rubbish. Well suck on that all of you. I have a football knowledge greater than Lambert and even called his ridiculous music use of a player just so he can play his son westy
  4. How can you defend it useless? Are you really a villa fan? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/row-zed/record-breaking-rubbishness-aston-villa-5086775
  5. You've missed the point there rob, easy done when your trying to look cool I guess "classic banter" I'm that window we signed a new record signing that saved us hence me referencing it as a great window. This season we have signed Delph who is part of the team that's in the relegation battle in the first place, a west Brom reject and a decent looking midfielder. It's hardly the end of austerity is it, thus my confusion at the excitement of the grand total of 5 million max being spent on relative unknowns and another journeyman Hey whatever floats your boat though P. S id say lamberts better at turning wine into water and water into something even more boring
  6. Every one going on like this is January is like when we signed bent. We've agreed a new contract for someone already playing for us and we're in a relegation battle with him anyway. We've signed a west Brom flop on loan as we couldn't afford 3 mil. And there's a slight rumour of signing a league 1 player that we will loan back to the club anyway. The only slightly decent business is gil who has only played one full game. Hardly game changes ground shaking moves are they lads? You've has your expectations well and truly manged by foxy
  7. Man U were playing AT Camebridge on a cold windy night, we will play on our carpet of a HOME pitch. Don't try to make excuses for the pathetic idiot before we've lost, at least wait until we lose. So we have the man u result, injuries, money, the fans, the goal posts not being big enough, plan a signing not coming off so we had no plan b, he wanted to sign a no 10 for 3 seasons give him a chance, he's sorted the defence out at least, he had us scoring at one point at least, we've had lots of shots, we didn't conceed 8.....Bradford wanted it more, Sheff U wanted it more, Millwall wanted it more, he's working on a project, it's the assistant mangers fault x 2, do we have any other reasons that lambert is actually alex ferguson/pep guardiola etc but is being limited/not his fault?
  8. If Paul Lambert can see where it's going wrong way has he made no attempt to change it. He has broken just about every bad record there is to break. Anyone in here defending him are either on a wind up or a bit spesh. He is terrible, dour uninspiring and actually a liar as well. The day he leaves this once great club will be the day I start to believe again

    Carles Gil

Dont get excited guys, one week of training with us and we'll soon suck the talent from him the same way we did to Bertrand. Bertrand is playing in a team in the top 3 and yet he looked like a championship player for us after a decent start. While Lamberts here it really doesn't matter who we sign, it's the tactics and management that is all wrong, and we'll ruin Gil the same way Oh and those Saying him and Sanchez link up well, that won't please Lambo who wants everything to go through his boy Westy so that will be cut out soon too
  10. Didn't I tell everyone Westwood would render Sanchez ineffective? That's happened. Imagine a team with Sanchez as the holding mid and gil in behind the strikers... Now stop imaging because Lambert won't contemplate anything that doesn't involve westy. He's key to everything we do you know

    Carles Gil

Don't worry guys. Now Lambert knows where he plays best he'll be swiftly moved into left back or something so that he can keep that vital cog of ours old "westy" at the heart and soul of our midfield and all things villa.

    Carles Gil

Yeah he's said it's not the club's fault either...

    Carles Gil

Yeah but not joking about this one dave Armitage on Twitter has said it was back on but tweeted a while ago it's extremely unlikely now

    Carles Gil

Very unlikely to be done today now apparently
  15. I told you people would start blaming him. He looked world class in a proper holding role but because Lambert loves Westwood so much Sanchez has been moved to the left and is now uncomfortable. Blame the player all you want but you don't loose class that easy, you struggle when the manager asks you to do things you can't do. Go back and read my earlier posts and tell me I was wrong please
  16. Now that is interesting.... All of a sudden Sanchez is less affective. Have his footballing skills deserted him in a week. No? What could have changed to warrant such a turn in form? Anyone care to read my previous posts here?

    Running

heres a question. I play sunday league football but this is more about my running. I find during the early weeks and late weeks i play fine and feel fit, but in the winter months I can barely get about the pitch, I go from looking one of the fittest to one of the slowest, tiredest players out there and I get dropped, it happens every season now I'm now of the opinion that it must be the ground, my legs seem to turn to led on the heavier muddy pitches, even if theyre not that bad. I only seem to play well on the harder pitches when it is almost like astro turf and you could even get away with wearing trainers. Anyone know what that's about? I'd love to know so I can work on it
  18. Amazing done people have a actually spoken to Lambert! That's day Westwood played deep so he could get his breath? Not because Lambert loves him in that holding role despite having a superior player for that role. Thanks for clarifying when is your next chat with Lambert? Also if anyone thinks Lambert has a football Brain you can jog on the man's an imbecile with humiliating record after record being broken
  19. And shoe horned a player that is 10 times better than him to fit him in! Against better teams we'll miss Sanchez in that holding role when Westwood is loosing out on headers and giving the ball straight back to the opposition. But as long as he's playing then who cares if Sanchez becomes less effective elsewhere right And your same right we are one if the shittest clubs in the country right now. Although I'm sure it was sarcasm it's only funny when the opposite is true
  20. That's interesting, Westwood comes back and is thrown into the Sanchez role despite Sanchez being man of the match in that position the last two games. Shall I go into the Sanchez thread and find those comments I made about Lambert shoe Horning Sanchez into another position as soon as his golden boy was back?
  21. Lop behave forever young. We passed sideways against Sunderland and palace and couldn't penetrate them if they'd lubed up and guided it in! Lambert loves gabby and weimann and as long as they are there taking up space they will kill our attacks dead with their touch and poor footballing brains. Lambert has no ur and we won't be mid table in a few weeks that's for sure
  22. This is our year lads and it's going to hurt. However I'm at the point where I think it needs to happen for their to be a revolt and finally get rid of this stage horrible set up we have. Don't reply with the relegation isn't a good thing etc because I know that but we are only going one way with this and I'm so bored of it. My nephew loved us and has a season ticket, I asked him today how he is so dedicated but he loves it anyways. I told him one day he will see is be successful again but it won't be Intel there's change, relegation is the only thing that will bring about that change
  23. I know it shouldn't bother me but bloose are on the up and this for me is a car king appointment by wba. They will easily finish above us this year now. Even crystal palace may have a chance with a decent manager coming in. Can it get any worse for us?
  24. Notice how whenever a mangers job is vacant Lambert is never mentioned? That's because no one else would touch him with a barge pole and he's lucky to still be managing a prem team. For now. Basically everyone knows he is turd
