Speaking of facts I'm suprised no ones thrown a few stats at me to prove just how valuable such s skilful midfielder is to our team. I mean he must get a fair few goals from midfield? What's thst? He's barely scored?? OK his assists must be right up there then?what barely an assist to his name? Key passes then,he must really influence play?wait,hardly a meaningful pass to his name?? I agree either way it is happening and I hope that it is for the best.My concern comes from the decision making of the club thus far and makes me doubt that what they are doing is being done with any degree of actual footballing knowledge If it works for even a short period of time then I'm all for it.I'd just like to see football minded people at the club again rather than the focus being on behind the scenes corporate awards and business ventures

That team was picked by a Lambert chronie big man but nevermind. No I'm sure you're right and this wasn't a firefighting move 13 games from the end of a season just after saying the previous manager was staying put. Its interesting the people who reply with their ”bantz” are the people I respect least with regards to their football knowledge. Having said that this was a firefighting move I do think it is one that had to be taken although had we moved earlier we could have got a more experienced "firefighter" in,see pullis. Lol it makes me laugh that anyone thinks there's any kind of "plan" in place at the villa, particular by starting off saying "I think it's clear to see.." What's clear to see is that the club have no idea what they're doing, have no football men in place to actual run things and the owner is simply scraping by until he can hopefully get shot of us. One thing I will say though is the marketing seems to be in place as the propaganda the club throw out seems to work on the more naieve of you. If Lerner/Fox etc had their way Lambert would still be here but the noise was simply too much in the end and they had to bite the bullet (one week Fox is saying we should see the bigger picture, next Lamberts gone. Any sign of a plan there?) So they then go out and pick up the first manager they can appoint without too much noise or cost and continue the craziness again, all the while Randy is hoping to get rid at the first opportunity, if we stay up as a result of the change then bonus as far as Randy is concerned. To say there's some kind of continental management structure being put in place is stupid, the club is firefighting and making decisions on the fly. The owner wants out and until that happens there is no long term plan at this club. We scraped a 2-1 win against a team bottom of the league and people think we're headed ina new direction with an owner who has a plan, behave yourself. Ok mate one bad performance and Sanchez has been dropped for two games now, but I'm sure the players playing instead are warranting in given our results..... By the way your also forgetting one if my original points was Sanchez would still play but Westwood would hinder him in the middle of the park. Use the skills your players have, put Sanchez in the middle on his own and let the other three push forward. If he does that you'll find Sanchez isn't a bad player quite the opposite, just the victim of an inept manager who accepts failure as long as they keep it ticking over

Worst ever game? Really? We've been battling relegation for 3 years have endured mcleish and now Lambert. We've lost to Bradford Millwall sheff UTF and lost 8 0 to Chelsea but that game by Sanchez was a villa players worst ever performance and warranted him being dropped when the likes of Westwood gabby cleverly gave played consistently? Ok but Sanchez stood out head and shoulders as the best player on the pitch twice in a row playing as the sole holding player. Was that an accident or might there be a good player there? Mate its where Westwood plays that's the problem I didn't say he would drop him straight away, I said Westwood would come back Sanchez would have to do shuffle over and he's become less effective and then made a scapegoat. Sanchez NEEDS to be that central holding midfielder, screening the defence winning the ball and moving it on. He wins most headers he goes for, can read the game and put a tackle in, with high energy. Instead he's playing in a role when he's expected to create and it isn't his game. Yeah no you guys Westwood is definitely worthy of his starting place. The way he controls the middle of the park creating chances, conducting the play, sweeping up opposition attacks. How silly of me to tell you all that his return would be bad news for the player who had just had 2 man of the match performances, why would you want to carry on like that when you have super westy to come back and take his rightful place.
