We would be very lucky and that's why it's unlikely to happen. I would think that Tim would look to use the money to replace Benteke's goals, and more, across the whole team. That is certainly more probable. We cannot be in a situation again where we are so reliant on one player. . In what way is the owner "clueless" and how is he "not willing to make things right" Its lovely to throw around these subjective statements but without actually providing examples or evidence you just sound like a neurotic 12 year old girl. I'd say giving a manager another 4 year contract after 4 decent games was an error. I'd say the same for Hutton as I know read Sherwood wants rid. Id day putting near 40 year olds on 5 year contracts was an error and putting potentially lazy players on sky high long term contracts was also an error. I'd say focussing his attention on our corporate image and doing up the holte pub instead of investing smartly on the pitch was an error. I'd say appointing McLeish was a huge error, if not just from a pr point of view. Think we are gone this year lads. Usually when we've been this bad before we relied on benteke or bought b one or two decent signings to stabilise things. Theres no saviour this year, if adebayor happens I think that's it. We won't score enough to stay up, will concede to many and won't even have enough cover when we need it. We look light all over the park and I don't think we have the time, money or in randy lerners case the desire to sort it

Less now than it has been the last few years. Getting Bent, Vlaar, Given, Weimann, Sylla, Lowton and Stevens though has already made a significant reduction. I'd estimate that lot probably accounted for circa £230k-£250k a week. Sure Richards and Gueye will have taken up some of that but its still a fair chunk to play with without increasing the overall bill. weimann sylla lowton Stevens,surely players on hardly anything? Imagine if lerner, having decided to sell, has just passed up on one of the richest people in the world and sent him straight to our now hated neighbours. Not all 19yos end up like that for a start, and I, like the club I'd imagine, are probably starting to get fed up of issuing statements every 5 minutes defending a player that has just broke through and done nothing to prove himself yet other than crave attention by wearing stupid shin pads and a stupid hair cut.
