  1. I order the burger wherever I go. I just went for a week holiday to Hawaii. Great fun! If you're ever in Waikiki, go to Rumfire at the Sheraton and order the Truffle Burger. It was legitimately the best burger I have ever eaten in my life. Phenomenal. Great atmosphere, service and cocktails as well, but the burger was a worldie.
  2. A bit of a weak way for Owens to win but awesome for the storyline. Best finish to Raw in some time IMO
  3. I can only base my opinions on my experience in Australia, and i'll freely admit I don't have any statistics to back that opinion up. In Australia people get tasered when they would otherwise be shot, ie have a weapon and are acting in an aggressive manner which means lives are in immediate danger. Or alternatively, when they are self harming with a weapon and Police are unable to get close to them because of the danger of the weapon. On both occasions, the taser is a less lethal option. I haven't been involved in a situation where a taser has been drawn but the situations where I have heard they have been drawn and deployed by someone at my station, have been against people either self harming with blades, or people being aggressive with weapons where other Police officers had firearms drawn. On both occasions the taser ended ongoing violence and injury. I'm pretty sure in the UK, your general patrols don't carry firearms, so the taser would be your most serious option for general Police officers. That changes things up a bit.
  4. Go somewhere different and play. Mankeys are an annoyance at this point. I've seen about 70 of them and I currently have 85 candies. They are **** everywhere in Adelaide. But there are other pokemon that I know are very common in other cities that I never see here.
  5. If this incident is used to have tasers taken away from Police, i'd imagine that death and serious injury resulting from Police incidents that turn violent would increase, not decrease.
  6. Unless you're acting in fairly desparate self defence, there is no reason to kick someone in the head ever. I'm definitely not arguing that the Police involved aren't at fault, i'm just saying it's not outrageous that a taser was deployed given the circumstances. If they've tasered him and then kicked him to the head while he was on the ground, i'd support criminal action against them.
  7. That grey silhouette on number 6 of my pokedex is going to haunt me for ages. I have a Charmeleon but only about 25 candies.
  8. Found a Charizard during my lunchbreak at work. My colleague's was 664 and he caught it, but mine was 996, drained me of all my ultras and greats and ran away. Pretty crushed. I paid $14 to get 8 egg incubators to make myself feel better
  9. Hahaha I just youtubed it. Brilliant. It appears that they've cottoned on to what was so popular about previous eras of wrestling. Primarily big, charismatic, over the top personalities. People don't care if it's realistic or ridiculous.
  10. If I believed someone had a knife or whatever and was a genuine and immediate danger of hurting me or one of my colleagues or another member of the public, i'd taser him straight away, or shoot him. Especially given that he is covered in blood and the information Police had at the time might well have indicated that he'd killed someone already. The worst possible outcome is that Dalian pulls a knife from his pocket and kills someone else while Police stand there and hope for the best. I've never seen a Police officer stabbed, but an officer in the station I work was killed in exactly those circumstances years before I started, trying to wrestle with a guy who pulled a knife and killed him. I've been involved in jobs where someone wriggled free and sent a Police officer to hospital. Police officers have the right to protect themselves and go home to their families. I wouldn't use a taser unless I knew someone had a weapon, but that officer had a man who he may well have believed had just murdered someone, in front of him, covered in blood and refusing all instructions to back away. It's pretty easy in hindsight to say they should have just grabbed him but it's impossible to know without being there. For all the fearmongering about tasers, they are a less lethal option than a firearm and they save a lot of lives in situations where people would have been shot by Police before tasers existed.
  11. I've been a Police officer in Australia for 3 years, but I haven't actually drawn my taser or been at a situation where someone else has drawn one. (for that matter i've never drawn my baton, spray or firearm either, the vast majority of people can be talked down or taken down with bare hands) The rule over here is that you'd only taser someone you'd otherwise be shooting, apart from in a self harm scenario, where we obviously would taser to stop someone cutting themselves or whatever. For me to consider tasering someone, they'd either need to be holding a weapon or be so much bigger than me physically that the taser was my only option, and in that situation i'd be looking at spray first anyway. I don't believe the taser is something that needs to come out unless the subject has a weapon and is being aggressive with it towards himself or others. That said, I absolutely want to have it as an option. We only have 1 taser between a patrol pairing over here, and i'll always choose to wear it if I can. I'd rather not have to shoot someone if I can get away with it.
  12. Another Elphick like signing to add a bit of grit and leadership to turn the group around. Very shrewd, and very happy to have an Aussie in the squad
  13. Went to my missus' netball game last night and a Venusaur pops up on my radar! I ask her at quarter time if she minds me ducking out and seeing if I can find it. She hands me her phone and tells me to catch one for her as well She's a level 13 and hers was 259. Caught it on the 2nd ball. I'm 21 and mine was 828. I went through 24 ultraballs, and of the 30 odd great balls I had, I was down to 5 when it finally stayed in. A razz every time as well. It was the most intense capture of my Pokecareer. I was sure it would run away and i'd go in there with a Venusaur for her and nothing but lament in slot 3 of my pokedex. A mixture of relief and unbridalled joy.
  14. I'd take it into a Police station. It's a lot harder to fob someone off in person.
  15. Levelling is all about saving your evolutions and dropping lucky eggs. I went to Brisbane and went out to Southbank with my cousins purely to sit near 3 pokestops for 2 hours, and favourited everything I had ready for evolution. I dropped a lucky egg and went from low level 17 to mid level 19, I think I evolved 17 pokemon or something, including evolving to several I hadn't seen before. I'm level 21 now and the levelling progress is slow, but i'm starting to actually develop project pokemon. I have a 512 Geodude and about 110 candies at the moment. Once i'm past 125 he'll probably get powered up a few times and then levelled twice in a row, and i'm getting close to another Arcanine. I've saved my Stardust and have over 100,000 now so i'll start trying to max out pokemon before I evolve them. My best Pokemon are a 1608 Arcanine, and i've got an Exeggutor and a Pinsir in the mid 1200s, but i've got a lot of project pokemon on the go.
  16. We looked brilliant in the first 20 minutes, it seemed like it was going to be a walkover, and then for the last 70 we were absolutely outclassed in every facet of the game. FFS.
  17. I'm a Police officer in Australia and that's an absolutely garbage system. I'd be going into a Police station asap with the letter and asking them to detail exactly what they think you've done. We have legislation over here which means we can go to the registered owner of the vehicle and ask them who was driving at the time, and if they don't tell us they are guilty of an offence, but a Police officer actually has to go there and do it, we can't just send out a non-descript letter and wait for the reply. That's ridiculous. We also have certain licence suspensions that are mailed out to people, but we have a bugger of a time in court proving that someone received a letter. You can't possibly prove that beyond reasonable doubt. We'll stop people in that case, tell them of their suspension, and then put a note on the system saying they've been told.
  18. An Eevee in a 10k egg should come with like 25 candies.
  19. Is there any significance to the grass symbol behind the pokemon in the nearby thingo?
  20. I went to Brisbane over the weekend and for the first time actually went out purely to hunt Pokemon with my cousin and his girlfriend at midnight on Saturday night. It was bizarre seeing 40 people with an average age of about 30 sitting in Southbank near the river, in range of 3 lured pokestops, playing and chatting about Pokemon. It was definitely really lucrative, there was basically a constant stream of pokemon to catch. I managed to get 17 of my pokemon lined up for evolution so I went from mid level 17 to mid level 19 in about 10 minutes. I've seen and caught 93 unique pokemon now, but still no wretched Pikachu. I haven't even seen one on the nearby pokemon thingo. Once I have one I can probably stop playing this game.
  21. Yeah I heard the same thing. He wasn't happy with the way talent was treated and wasn't happy that WCW was about to be resoundingly squashed. Obviously we could have a whole other thread about how the Invasion should have ran, but keeping Nitro as a separate show for a while would have been the first step for me
  22. The players who do make the squad had better be busting their gut in every single training session, because Stan would have been. Hopefully this is a good sign of the quality of our squad.
  23. I'm 2 episodes in of this one and I may not get to watch anymore for a week or so because i'm on night shift and I don't think the missus will like watching and episode and then being alone. I'm enthralled though. Agree totally with all of what you've said. It has absolutely nailed the classic 80s feel you talk about. I think of note is that so far, all the child actors are good. There isn't one disaster, which is rare when you've got so many of them in central roles. Brilliantly cast. Can't wait to keep watching.
  24. I thought Smackdown started well but then Raw absolutely killed it after that. Raw definitely have the more exciting roster. How the **** do they continue to underbook Cesaro so badly? It's brutal. The other guys in that feud went well before him and I probably only like Owens as much. Cesaro might need a heel turn or something but i'm struggling to think of anyone who has ever been ignored this much despite having seemingly everything WWE want in a wrestler. He's big, he's in amazing shape, he's one of the best wrestlers on the roster and he's really over when he's being booked well. Worse than that, I was hoping the draft might be the end of the endless stream of matches involving Owens, Zayn, Jericho and Cesaro but nope, they all get drafted to Raw. I think Smackdown has the better balance of WWE title talent as outside of Rollins, Raw has Reigns (lol) and Lesnar (who will need to get a lot more involved to have an impact). Hopefully Bray Wyatt can finally be used properly and pushed into title contention but he's got a few ahead of him at this stage. The likes of Zack Ryder and Apollo Crews are probably going to be in the mix for Miz's IC title because there aren't a whole lot of mid carders on Smackdown around the level that WWE seem to rate the US and IC belts Baron Corbin at 18, before Cesaro, the pick after Kevin Owens. Jesus. Give him a mask or something ffs he's so boring.
  25. I believe this is the case, but the Pokemon you catch will have a lower CP than your higher level mate
