    Bennett today Benteke tomorrow (or Zarate if that falls through) and then a quality midfield suprise on deadline day please Stephens/Bowery etc. would be added extras, but should not be signed instead of the quality midfielder and striker we desperately need.

    Would surely just be signed to play in the u21's this season and to have a look at him.

    I really would get Charlie Adam in now Liverpool have got sahin! Does well in struggling teams, and would be better than herd, bannan and nzogbia who started on Saturday! He creates and scores! A left back would balance the team, but our main problem is creating chances and controlling games in the midfield.     Would only like Jarvis or Fletcher from Wolves, but not at the prices we'd have to pay. Possibly Doyle, but think I'd prefer Jones. My realistic ideal signings based on recent rumours: Olsson Jones Defensive midfielder Getting rif of Makoun, Warnock and Hutton

    Would be happy with him, and like the fact he has premier league experience unlike Cresswell/Bennet, Kind of kills two birds with one stone too as he can also play left wing which we need. If he is gash defensively, we can use him as a midfielder all the time and sign another left back - happy days!

    We need a striker to bring the best out of Bent, this chap would appear to be that man. Carol is too expensive, and Defoe would appear to be staying at Spurs. Anything less than 5m would be good business, and if we could use Hutton to offset 2m of that then happy days.

    I'd rather look at Olsson and Hanley from Rovers - I think Hanley and Clark could be a great future combination

    Hopefully will be good for the Villa! however he is the same age as Naughton and Walker, and was at Sheffield United at the same time but was 3rd choice!!!

    Happy with Lambert, it would have been nice to see a Martinez or Rogers team ping the ball round Villa Park, but with the players we have currently, he is the best man for the job!

    Di Matteo has a much better career win percentage than Lambert, Rodgers and Martinez! He will also have a big pull with players after a great playing career and what he has just done with Chelsea. To be honest, I'd be happy with any of the above or Poyet!
