The thing that majorly disappoints me, and saddens me too as it's exactly what I now expect from the man, is that when we needed to push for a 3rd goal to take us through, our manager seemed bereft of ideas, relevant substitutions, tactical tweaks or this famous motivational skill he apparently has to lift his team to push on. After Rapid's goal we had the look of a team that had accepted it's fate.

Rode our luck at times, we all now that, but christ for the first time in a while this team showed a HUGE set of balls, some character and fight. See us who question things don't do so as we like to 'moan'. We just want to see some fire in the belly of the team. Show that kind of spirit, fight and growing belief and we'll do alright this season, and that 10 minute period after the first goal you physically saw us grwo in our belief where we played great stuff and really took the game to plop resulting in the 2nd goal. We showed tonight what I have asked for, which is to fight for the shirt. I don't ask to win every week, or to be guaranteed top six, just a commitment to the cause. Tonights performance deserves every plaudit coming. Well done boys.

Well I realise that no matter formation we play I have to hold my hands up and say it is my fault we've gone through a period of shiteness, ill-feeling and down-ness. Jesus, if players cannot do the **** basics then something is not right. How **** hard is it to pass a **** ball!? It's better than Saturday but then, it couldn't get much worse. However, when no on is willing to shoot at the oppositions goal, show movement (I didnt say intelligent movement as I cant see an intelligent player in the whole **** squad!), do the basics like concentrate from the first whistle, then frankly, we are seriously going to struggle. Just look at the options on the bench, defensively, attackingwise. Seriously he needs to strengthen in midfield, defence AND attack. The chickens are coming home to roost over 2 concecutively piss poor transfer windows and a totally stuborn/naive/clueless approach to games once it became clear that the way we played wasn't working. He even looks out of ideas on the touchline!? I just hope it's not too little too late.

Bloody hell. Okay the quality of the crossing isnt great. But there are times when decent balls get in the box and no one attacks the ball or moves at all. It is so easy to defend when there's no pressure!!!

Seriously, there should be at least one leader in each area. Keeper, a dominant centre half, midfielder and striker. That is what's missing, a strong spine. In fact, there should be 11 leaders on the pitch. As for the NRC argument, if Petrov is captain and he vice/deputy captain, then why the hell isn't he on the pitch along with Petrov?! it undermines his position of that role by being sat on the bloody bench! He's not the best footballer there is, but I remember seeing him on his debut go upto every defender and nearly every other Villa player and tell them exactly what was required, and I thought 'you'll do for me, son!' I do find it funny that people are questioning Petrov now, after he was voted supporters player of the year, and in fact, did no worse or better than Barry in both 4-5-1 and 4-4-2. The issue with him is that he's clearly not fit, so shouldn't have played on Saturday. Same goes with Davies.
