Me and Dan were kicking some ass tonight. It's good to be able to stand back and heal your mates. There's some great people on the server, the sort who cast great spells on you as they run past. Nice. I blundered into some disputed territory tonight, and got the ass whupping of my life! Any newcomers I think rev's right, we need different people.

TRL...be an overpowered Shaman (Horde) on our Deathwing server. I'd be pleased to show you the ropes, as Nayson and Si have been doing for me. It's great, it's like the VT chat room, only I'm a big green Orc, and all the other people have weird creatures too. YOu can then gang up with your mates and beat stuff up. Great fun. If Bicks gets this, there'll be one less taxi doing its rounds in Liverpool I guarantee!

Tell tale signs you've been playing a game for too long: Your wife's got the hump, and isn't talking to you. You didn't bother to get dressed all day. Your eyes feel like crap from staring at the minitor all day. You dream about what's been going on in the game! So cheers Nayson and Si, when the wife leaves me, and my house is repossessed because I've stopped going to work, I'll know who to blame!! This is the best game there's ever been, amazing, truly, truly amazing.

I was spectacularly rubbish last night I must admit. While Si was showing me the sights on an airship journey, I managed to fall off, plummet to the ground, and proceeded to be set upon by all sorts of vicious beasties that were too hard for me. Then when Si tried to open a Portal, I swam off and drowned!

What a completely and utterly amazing game. It's way better than real life! Thanks to Si for showing me the ropes, as has been said you're a true legend! Everybody should own this game, it rocks!

What. a. game. Just had two hours on it this morning to get the hang of it. At least the wife said it was tow hours, felt more like 2 minutes. At the moment I'm a dwarf, and I've completed a couple of quests, and got brought into a couple of groups, which was nice. There's some kick ass people about, shonuff! At the moment I have to content myself with bopping trolls on the noggin with me hammer, while others stand on the other side of the screen and napalm their asses with fire balls. Great fun! I'll have to drop in on your server I think.

Well I finally got it all going last night, but didn't really have the time to play it, as after I'd downloaded the patch, it took another half an hour for that to install. Had a quick go, ran around and killed a few wolves, but that was it! The graphics look amazing though. I'm going to sit and have a read of the instructions, then probably try and get into it after the Chelsea match, so any help then would be appreciated!

Well I've actually gone out and bought a legit copy of this following the rave reviews, and so far it's been a total pain in the arse. After the interminable installation time, I sign up for my account, and sit down to play. Only it automatically starts to download a patch. But the shite downloading program they use called Blizzard doesn't work properly and crashes my system. So I go to the WOW of website, to look for sites where I can download the patch, and all it has are the hellish fileplanet and file shack sites, where you either have to pay, or wait in line for ages, before getting a shite download speed! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Things like this really piss me off! If they're going to have patches for games, at least make it easy to get hold of them. If I wasn't so bored this would have gone straight back to Tesco tonight for a refund!

Gareth Barry bangs them in with great aplomb, usually right into the side or the roof of the net. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I'm not sure Angel would get his shot off, even in the penalty box with no other players around him.

Well I never said anything about Phillips being too old, he's just a good Premiership striker, something that Angel was two years ago, but since has had one major injury too many. As for not having Vass next to him, well that sort of proves my point. What use is a striker who has to resort to another player's attributes? Baros may have pace, but he's a completely different player to Vassell, who did most of his good work out wide, drawing defenders away. Baros makes driving runs into the box, which I can't see doing much for JPA's limited game.

JPA has been completely dismal for about the last 30 consecutive matches, at least. How many more excuses are people going to make for him? Needs decent passes, needs a pacey player, hasn't had a full preseason yada yada yada. He's a skilful player, and a really nice bloke to boot, but he just doesn't have the pace for the Premiership anymore, and he just doesn't make enough space for himself to get any shots off. Phillips and Baros for me, every time.

Nick that's a bit of a lazy argument I feel. Because you don't agree with the view that he's lost it, it's a "one eyed view." That's a bit, um, one eyed to be honest. Last season saw Angel in terrible form for all but a couple of games. I'd say that's a realistic basis for the view that he's past his best. What are you basing your view on that he'll come good again? He's not 25 more, and he's had some awful injuries. What little pace he once had has now gone, I now think he'd struggle to beat Teddy Sheringham over 50 yards. What I noticed most though is his reluctance to, or inability to get a shot off. He was never the quickest, but his skill lead to him creating time and space for himself. Now though, defenders just get there first, or put him off his stride. I know our midfield doesn't create that much, but JPA doesn't seem able to create much for himself either. A 20 goal a season striker will put away a good mix of sitters and half chances. On the form of last season, JPA will be lucky to have 20 shots on target all season. I'd love Angel to have a good season, but I just don't see a player able to cope with the demands of the Premiership anymore. He'll score some of course, maybe even this weekend, but I'm willing to bet he won't get into double figures this season.

It's a bit different if you've got the two fastest wingers in the prem as part of your front three, and the likes of Lampard, Makele and Cole in midfield! It just wouldn't work with the three players we've got. All three do their work in the penalty area, and only one has any real pace. None of them would want to do any work on the wings. And our midfield just wouldn't cope with the extra workload. Can you imagine a midfield three with one of them being Solano? We'd get torn a new hoop every match! It's a nice idea, but it smacks of the manager not having the balls to drop someone, which I'm sure isn't the case.
