  1. Reading some WoW forums earlier, it seems like every group who has EVER completed a dungeon has had a rogue nicking all the loot, so Dan's just following his genetic predisposition! Anyway I think I need to duel TRL tonight, just to show him what's missed with my new stave!
  2. Will we need to download the new patch today? If so I bet it'll be a pain in the arse again.
  3. You really need to get this game Al, trust me, you'll find the time!
  4. I'm really sorry about that belt TRL (what's your real name by the way?!) I'd never have picked up if I'd have realised, especially as it's nowhere near as good as the one I already I have....teach you to clear out your shite though! I think you need to be doing a bit more in the AH if you're down to 2g. I'm up to about 8.5g, despite spending about 3g on power ups the last two times I've levelled, and 7g on respeccing my skill tree. I try never to go back empty handed, as merchants will buy absolutely anything, even of its only a few coppers, it all adds up Happily assist you in the Thousand Needles tonight, if you'll do the same with me in Tarren Mill another night. That stave though is the mutt's nuts. Someone gave me this Dragonslayer buff in Orgri and combined with the stave I was taking out level 23 lions in two swipes for 150XP a go, and some nice leather to flog. When's the server down until Bicks?
  5. It was funnier last week when TRL's armour seemed to consist of some reaallllly gay cycling shorts! Actually, I'm a fat, HARD bar steward. And now I've got a nice new stave (that TRL really, REALLY wanted) I can dish out even more punishment. Took out a level 29 cave yeti or something around Tarren last night.
  6. Yep I think we need to set the VT guild up tonight. Someone said it was 10g between us, is that right? I need to do the Wailing Cavern tonight if anyone fancies it, as I've a half finished quest in there. Plus we still all that bloody book from Shadow Fang, although we could save that for another night if everyone's bored with it. Did a couple of q's around Tarren Mill last night, as it gave me the opportunity to stock up on leather, but it was overrun with high level Ally who kept twatting me. I was glad then when me, Bicks and Dan the Needy :winkold: took out a lone hunter in Stonetalon.
  7. Nice one BOF. The good thing about having loads of VTers on WoW is that you get looked after from the off. Si and Nays did a brilliant job of showing us lot round, and helping us get decent weapons to start with. Now there's at least six of us who'll be able to show you the ropes. Just thinking what else we need now. A mage probably.
  8. TRL's healing is brilliant. I love standing there bashing the bejaysus out of stuff, knowing that he's stood there making me well again. I've got healing totems now as well, after completing the excrutiatingly boring water totem quest, but it heals every group member for a minute by a certain amount, which is dead handy. I respecced in order to be able to use 2H weapons, and get the improved Ghost Wolf (most handy for beating a hasty retreat!) but lost some speed in healing as a result. Going to start putting skill points back into healing now though. Nays or Si, could you put the link for those mods back up, as I want to dowmload them but can't be bothered trawling back through this entire page to find it!
  9. Id doesn't matter beyween mates like us Dan, but if you ever happen to join a random group for a dungeon, you need to know, or you'll get shouted out. Only choose "need" if it's something you really need, or can at least use. I did the WC with some blokes and mistakenly pressed need for some shit hot mail that I could see turning a nice profit in the AH, but got called all the names under the sun! In those instances you should press "greed", but as far as I can tell need takes priority over greed. It's the same with chests, instead of just opening them, most groups expect you to roll, and the highest out of a 100 gets the loot (type / roll 100). With us it doesn't matter, as we can just trade anything that anybody really needs between ourselves.
  10. I reckon the four of us could crack the Cavern without a tank..... We've all got a lot better at pulling single targets now, and Dan's got to a level where he does serious damage from up close.
  11. I think the four of us need to try the Wailing Cavern and Ragefire really soon. Just think of the drops! (Even if Dan does choose "Need" every single time for the special items! ;o). ) Me, Dan and Bicks did Pyrewood with the level 15 elites, which was still pretty bloody hard as there were so many of them, but I got a miserable 250XP! We were a bit bored last night, so wandered just east of Brill, which is dead low level, straight into a contested area with super high level beasties, resulting in instant death! Hit Level 24 last night, and got about 6 new upgrades which set me back 4G! Well on my way to being an overpowered shammy as Nayson puts it, even though I still can't beat same level hunters in duels! Everything else is no problem, but hunters are gits, just can't get clsoe enough quick enough. I beat a L25 priest, L24 Rogue and L26 warrior in duels, but was murderlised by a L23 Hunter. And a quick round of applause for Dan is in order fromall of the WoW addicts. From level 15 and "I'm bored and don't get it" at the weekend to Level 20 and staying on till 4am in the space of two days!
  12. Sounds good to me TRL! Level 24 now by the way, and super hard!
  13. Got mine in Tescos, but Asda had it as well. Secondly it's really easy to get into. I didn't even read the instructions for ages. You just move your characters around, and bash things at first. The learning curve is brilliant, you don't even realise how it sucks you in. It's only when you've been playing for a while that you start to realise how HUGE this game is. The best bit though is teaming up with your mates. Me, TRL and Dan had a bugger of a quest last night that must have taken over an hour, but it was such a good laugh.
  14. Sorry for doing one "early" lads, but as I'd been on till 5am and 3am the previous two mornings and the wife was threatening to divorce me, I thought I'd better call it a day after our little dwarf bashing episode! Starting to look a decent team now, I think a shot at the Wailing Cavern is in order soon.
  15. Congratulations Si, I hope you'll be very happy together! Any chance of a lift every now and again?!
  16. I'm with you bro! As I was at 4am this morning! I think I'm getting WoW RSI!
  17. Me, Bicks and TRL had a good go at the Wailing Cavern last night, and were joined halfway round by a Tauren druid who knew what he was doing. I like trying instances with your mates, as you can work out strategies without fear of cocking up and being lambasted by strangers! We got a fair way in, but then unfortunately Bicks got picked off, and couldn't get back. The remaining three carried on, but we hit a part where there were about 5 elites against the three of us, and they were just too hard.
  18. S'not what I meant. At any level, priests are never going to be able to tank like Shamans are they?
  19. Nice one Nays, how many XP points do you need on average in the high 30's? It's about 21000 for level 21. And how much does a mount cost, a fair bit I expect. I've done a fair bit of research into talent trees, wish I'd done it sooner as I'd have saved having to relearn and the subsequent cost. Any of you lot (Dan, Bicks, TRL) want to try Ragefire or Wailing Cavern tonight?
  20. Anything good Bicks, stick it in the auction, you'll make a bomb. Bits and bobs like low level armour, sell to vendors. That's why you need mixed groups. The two duels yesterday, the first I didn't get the chance to get up close, and you kicked my arse. The second I got into melee range, slowed you down with a frost shock, then unloaded earth shock and a few swings from the axe, and you were toast. Each group has their strengths and weaknesses. Me and TRL were questing in Silverpine against some Level 14 elites. TRL will never be as strong as my character, so I was doing most of the tanking while he healed me and weighed in with some spells. Me, you, TRL and Dan would make a decent group for instances. You could do damage from range, TRL can heal, I'm a mixture of tanking and healing, and Dan can get in close and do real damage quickly. A similar level tank and we'd breeze Ragefire and the like.
  21. Yep it was Nays. I was just padding about in wolf form, meaning that if I came across any baddies I could hopefully outrun them. Once I got east of Azhara though, I came to some ruins filled with level 50+ beasties, who just zapped me from afar, and took me out in less than a second. My spirit was released at the graveyard taken above. It was then a case of taking the hit and getting the spirit to resurrect me, and zapping back to Orgri. Starting to do much better in the AH. The last 2-3 nights I've made over 1g each from selling linen and wool, and various bits of tat I pick up on my travels. My tip is never go back to a town with empty slots in your bags, as you can sell everything, even if for a few coppers.
  22. On the coast east of Azhara. And that big orange mutha is level 53 or 54, so pissing it off by firing my rather pathetic lightning spell at it probably wasn't the best idea!
  23. One of me about to be a eaten by a three headed sea monster....
  24. I have to say, me and TRL don't half work well together. When we get to higher levels people had better watch out. That said, we were doing pretty well taking out a village of werewolf elites, but we were fighting a losing battle against four of them. Then all of a sudden a level 60 Tauren Mage appears to rescue us. Nice! He had this weird weapon, looked like a big firework on its back!
  25. I've stopped watching TV, eating, showering, and going to work! And I have plenty of mates cheers Al, why only last night I was talking to an Orc Hunter. Oh, you mean REAL friends!
