  1. I got a mint two handed axe from a drop for when I attain that skill. That ungrateful sod TRL had the cheek to laugh at my axe after I'd just killed two big flying lions for him. Anyway I went straight to the auctions, and used the 80 silver from selling two lots of linen to buy something far more effective. If I see the **** tonight, it's duel time! Nobody laughs at my axe!
  2. Whoah! Steroid bloated freak!
  3. Yeah I've had a bit of a wander through contested areas. Did one quest on Stonetalon for a shitload of XP, but I always end up getting dicked by a passing level 45 Alliance bast with one swat! I need to do the wailing Cavern tonight again, as I've two outstanding q's, and the group I did it with last time didn't stop for breath. (Well they did when I fell off the same ledge 3 times in a row, but that's another story!)
  4. What's that Hall of Legends in Orgri? Another well hard instance I'd imagine?
  5. I'm nearly at 20, get to turn into a wolf then, so I can speed across the world considerabloi quicker than yow lot. Spent a good half an hour with TRL stoving Harpy skulls in to get the queen's head. Got some nice cash, drops and XP along the way. Shortly after, the my computer crashed. After queuing to get back on, I found I was dead, back at the crssroads without the Harpy head, meaning I'm going to have to do it all over again. Grrrrrrrr! Still I'm starting to do alright in the auction house as well. Another good thing about spanking humanoids is that they drop either linen or wool. 20 stacks of each go for a bomb in the AH. Oh and I was in Ratchet checking in a quest, when a level 19 Dwarf alighted on the jetty, mere feet from me, the cheeky get. If he'd been low level I'd have let him be, but as he was my level, I thought I'd take the opportunity to practise against real enemies. Anyway I kicked his ass without suffering as much as a scratch, before legging it in case he had any hard mates along for the ride with him! Anyway that's 1 in the honour killing column!
  6. You can give us a hand when you're on. I've got about 50 level 16/17 Harpies to off, be worth loads of cash and XP to you, at least 200 XP per kill I'd have thought.
  7. We could have a go, but we'd defo need a decentish tank, Went in there as part of a group of five, all around L18-20, and it was still bloody hard. Well worth it for the XP and drops though. Have to see if Nays or Si fancy it for the cash.
  8. Sorted, quick return to tesco, and a proper copy of the game. It was clearly a copy somebody had had, and taken back after getting the activation key.
  9. Nothing that I can see.
  10. What do you mean?
  11. HELP! I can't get on. When I bought the game ans signed up, it had a 10day trial pass thing inside, which I put the activation key thing in. It's now telling me that I need to put the activation key in froma full retail copy, but I can't find any other code on the instructions or manual etc. When I bought the game and got it home, it looked like it had been returned as the booklet was a bit used looking, so I'm guessing that someone's had it, used the code and returned it, leaving me with a game I can't use. Help, what am I gonna do?!
  12. Never takes to get on, couple of minutes is the longest I've waited.
  13. Hang in there Dan, I think Rogues are harder to play with in the beginning, but are more rewarding later on. You always seemed to be doing OK whenever I've seen you.
  14. It's all down to great teaching from you and Nays! Oh and getting shouted out lots by other players on a couple of instances! "Dickhead Shaman, put that **** fire totem away!" being one of the more choice comments! I've rejigged my skill tree now, so my healing's a lot quicker than it was, which helps in dungeons. TRL's pretty well up to speed as well now, did a great quest the other night with him in Silverpine. Haven't seen Bicks on for a bit now, hope he's getting levelled up, as we could do with a tank around our level.
  15. It was Si who wanted to go in for the cash and the drops. After one or two untimely deaths we got through to the end, but there were just too many Lupine Horrors for Si to manage by himself, despite my best healing efforts. Still it garnered me a great two handed axe for when I get that skill in a couple of levels (need the skill points) and about 50 silver, so it was well worth while. If we can finish it off I should get the XP to get me over L19, and then it's not long till I'm a wolf.
  16. Me and Si had a go at Shadow Fire Keep last night. Si was doing all the tanking, while I backed him up with healing and spell casting, and shouting, "yeah, take that Werewolf scum" and the like. Didn't quite manage to finish it, as we kept getting overpowered late on, but it was ace for experience and dosh. Nearly at level 19, then just one more until I can turn into a wolf, and much quicker travelling will ensue.
  17. Well me and TRL were on until the wee small hours. We teamed up with another player to do a couple of quests in Silverpine, and to say he was a bit of a nob is putting it mildly. He kept shouting at me and TRL for rolling for items. Just because I can't wear mail yet, doesn't mean I can't wear it later or sell it, idiot, and how many chain mail vests can YOU wear at one time anyway. He then starting rolling "greed" so I did too just to piss him off. After we'd completed the quest me and TRL were off to cash the quest in, and he was getting dicked by an elite, so we shrugged our shoulders and set off for base! Had yet another attempt at Ragefire, this time with a level 40 tank, and still I couldn't get to the end!
  18. Fookin' ell! I'd quite literally die from fright if I saw that.
  19. My professions are skinning and leather working. All the advice I've read suggest that you have one gathering and one manufacturing trade, that compliment exch other, eg Mining and black smith, Herbalism and alchemy etc. I quite enjoy the skinning, as every time you kill a bastard raptor, you get the XP and something towards your profession. Bicks at level 10 you need to start thinking about your talent points, which can be really baffling. Nayson knows some good discussion forums where you can check the best use of your talent points. Basically I think you get one point per level after 10, and you have to allocate them to characteristics to boost things like your spells and weapons. If you can get to 13 or higher this weekend, then me, you, TRL and Dan can have a dabble at Ragefire. You and Dan can do the damage with your melee skills, while I can help with meleeing, lightning and the like and healing, and TRL can heal and resurrect us when we inevitably come a cropper. I think we need to form a VT guild myself.
  20. We need Bicks to get up to the mid teens, then we'll have a nice little group. Me, you, Dan and Bicks is a nice spread of abilities. I can't wait to get home and check to see how I've done in the auction house, I was up to about 40 pieces of silver last night for various bits of tat!
  21. Now he tells me! In I blunder, up to the first enemy I see, and receive a reet good mullering. Repeat until thoroughly pissed off, and cue Nayson "Ummm, you might not be ready for this level yet!" Enjoyed that Razormane quest TRL, thought we made a pretty good team, although of course it did help when Mr Double Hard Si turned up! Oh and £8 is an absolute bargain, given the amount of time you WILL spend on it!
  22. I think you can go to a lot of places, but just some of them are high level or disputed, so you might end up getting your arse kicked. I'm level 14 now, so if you fancy teaming up for a quest or two, let me know what time you'll be on and we can meet up. We could have a venture into somewhere a bit more testing, safe in the knowledge that I can resurrect you if you get wiped out! Was mucking aound with Dan the other night, I think I was L11 and he was 7, and the silly bugger attacked a L18 raptor, thinking it said 8! How we laughed as it ripped us limb from limb! Then me and Si were up in the mountains, and he suggested we dive off a cliff into the river, only for us both to splat onto an unseen rocky ledge!
  23. I'm going to get a mic and head set in the next couple of days so I can use that program you've all been using.
  24. Bicks' character's dance is great, someone said it looks like a fat dad dancing at a wedding. The VT group is growing nicely now, can't wait until we're all level 60 muthas able to go on raids and stuff.
  25. It doesn't take long. I only started on Saturday, and already I'm at level 13, able to do some pretty cool stuff like bring people back to life. I've also got some kick ass spells. I need to start looking at professions though, as my funds are getting a bit low, and I went into the Nayson's fave auction house, but I didn't have a clue. Did kill my fist two alliance players though, which was nice.
