  1. Ashley Westwood was our most dangerous midfielder, he scored most goals and created most chances. Delphi is next, Albrighton is amongst the rest but probably below Bacuna
  2. Pl will be the goodwill in any sale by Lerner, he will look after him
  3. 4points from the last 9 games and we still managed to stay up by 5 points and 12 goals difference. We had enough points after the Chelsea game. How bad have Hull, Albion Norwich Cardiff and Fulham been not to have finished above us. This has been a hard season to live through and because the finish last year was on a good run, 15th this year feels so much worse. We have 5 or 6 players we can retain, Guzan, Vlaar, Okore, Delph, Westwood and Benteke, add Grealish and Robinson and that's your lot. Massive changes needed for next season.
  4. Irony lost on you. It was Villa singing to Sherwood. Are you absolutely sure about that? Yes, I'm watching it on Sky, it was when Sherwood came off the bench gesturing to Adebayor that he was going to bring him off after the pen.
  5. After your 4-1 defeat prediction and ridiculing of the team selection anything you have to say about Lambert lacks any credibility.
  6. Correct, although I think the number against him is growingafter every game
  7. In many takeovers/buyouts there is a part of the existing business that is classed as Goodwill and is taken on by the new owners. Lambert may be the Goodwill as Lerner will not want to leave him high and dry if/when he sells.
  8. This has been brought to a head by non footballing employees complaining to the clubs HR department. Football may have a culture of industrial language and intimidation but the normal workforce will have different contracts and rights regarding how they are treated and behave in the workplace. If the BH2 are deemed to have bullied, swore at or intimidated a non footballing member of staff that's gross misconduct and a dismiss able offence after a hearing of the evidence.
  9. I'm sat in a bar in Prague and O thought I'll try the free internet and read a bit of VIllatalk and WHAM all Hell's let loose. I've only been away for 4 days and the clubs turned upside down. One thing though I feel more confident about Saturday's game
  10. Lambert won't be leaving and there' nothing on PF's statement to suggest he will, but PF is right we need to stick together and all of us who love the villa and are able to go on Saturday have to give total support during the game, even if it' going badly because turning on them will not end welli
  11. Westwood was clearly injured. Can't blame him for that. Bennett was a baffling sub though. Baffling? A left back for an injured left back, common sense I'd say. Sylla is the baffling one, an injured midfielder replaced by ancart horse, never a footbaler in a million years. As soon as he came on we were rubbish.
  12. Or Lerner has all but officially sold up, convinced the new owner into keeping Lambert and is giving assurances to Lambert that he will have a job when it all officially goes through, or has a big pay off if he is replaced Jesus, do you write for the beano?
  13. I am having the same issue on iphone .. I deleted the app and re-installed it but same problem remains That's either bloody good service or co-incidence but it's working again now. Thanks

  15. Euro's....whats that in real money? About £10.2mill
  16. Better that than not being able to pass at all like the current lot.
  17. Arsenal were looking at him. I think they've got Arsenal and Aston Villa mixed up! I'm hoping to do the same tomorrow night.
  18. Didnt know that John and dont remember the news next day - I was probably still drunk! Real shame there is no televised record! I still get goosebumps remembering that first half display. An abiding memory was the sheer sense of awe amongst the crowd at the end of the first half! Spoke to John Deehan about it a while back and he said the team were on a high for weeks afterwards! yes remember the 5-1 against Liverpool. I think that was the half-time score as well. We just ripped them apart. We did the same to Arsenal and a few other teams that season. most exciting Villa team ever. Cropley and Mortimer in midfield, Gidman right back and Little, Gray and Deehan up front. I think ITV or ATV as it was then just had cameras to cover one game and they normally went to derby at that time. That's correct. Derby were playing on the same night and Trevor East who fronted Central's soccer was/is a Derby fan and the cameras went there. There was never any footage of that game.
  19. Bradford home last year. Even though we were 3-1 down from the first leg I always felt we would go through. The last 20 mins were horrendous to watch.
  20. Not if he leaves on a free transfer. Stoke want to sign Guidetti on loan buthave their full quota already. So they sign Ireland permanently and loan Guidetti.
