  1. Stevens has looked solid, yes. He is better than Bennett defensively for sure and for that reason I hope to see him as no.2 LB this season. Where he should Bennett be played? I really don't know. I'd give him a chance as a left winger, but we don't play wingers so I'm not sure what other choices there are.
  2. A Wolves fan has told me he's as solid as a (rad)ox.
  3. He'll go. Hutton is much better and is clearly first choice. Bacuna is slightly better but can also play elsewhere on the pitch. If those two get injured then Herd can fill in at RB.
  4. I'd be playing him as a winger and just telling him to bomb down the line and put crosses in. He's fast, got an ok touch, a bit of skill and an ok cross, so worth keeping in my opinion.
  5. I'd hope he'd plug holes in our defence, although whether he's any good at this level is clearly tub-e decided.
  6. I must sound like a broken record now, but I'm going to say it anyway. Stevens > Bennett.
  7. Gabby isn't an automatic starter for me anymore, especially with Cole, N'Zog and Grealish knocking about. For me, first choice RB is Hutton.
  8. Not deserved and doesn't even begin to paper over the cracks. Second half will be much better.
  9. Stevens is better than Bennett, so hopefully he'll be no.2 LB this season. Unless Lambert decides to play Richardson in midfield of course.
  10. I still haven't figured the formation out.
  11. Richardson has looked good since coming on.
  12. Jesus wept. Horrific defending. Are we just trying to crowd them out (and fail) or something?!
  13. Awful defending so far. On the plus side, we're playing some lovely 'hoof it up field' football...oh wait... Edit: whenever they attack our midfield appear to be right on top of our back five leaving a huge void between our midfield and attack...resulting in nothing...
  14. Back three (?) are getting opened up like a tin of salmon.
  15. Bennett found wanting three times already.
  16. Looked better than Bennett against Dallas. Still think he's got a future here.
  17. I'd guess so. Don't want him over doing it.
  18. I would, because Vlaar will be worth nothing next year unless he signs a new contract. I think Holtby has a lot more to offer and has shown very little so far, he was great in Germany, and Dawson (when fit...) is a good centre back. The biggest issue is...if Vlaar goes are we serious relegation fodder? A non fit Dawson won't save us. Oh, I also doubt it's a real offer, perhaps a choice of one or the other but not both, plus our wage structure isnt favourable to big earners. I know it's how football goes, but I would never sell our best defender just because his contract is up, unless the deal was bloody brilliant...getting Holtby and Dawson isn't. Holtby is a class player, sure, but Dawson is cack and has been for a while now. He's only slightly better than Clark, Senderos and Baker...all of which are not good. I'd much rather take the risk of losing him on a free next summer and hope that new owners come in by Christmas and offer him a decent deal. Are we relegation fodder if Vlaar goes? I think with the bomb squad returning and the new players that have been added we've actually got a half decent squad (in terms of staying up) so we'd cope without him, but I'd much rather have him in the back four.
  19. Definitely not him. Hair too light and nose totally different.
  20. People would actually take that deal? Replace our best defender with a Mid and way past his best Dawson? No, thank you. That'd mean one of Baker, Clark or Senderos would have to play week in week out with Okore...people really want that? Weaken our already not great defence to improve our midfield slightly? We should only get rid of Vlaar if we can buy a CB at least 85%-90% as good as him. Nothing less.
  21. Grealish and Stevens impressed for me (the former more so than the latter). Good link up play between Bent and Weimann for the goal. That's about all I can say!
