  1. And I didn't vote in the first place, mainly because the the options on offer were utter bollocks
  2. I remember saying on twitter ages ago that we wouldn't be leaving Europe. I was shouted down as being thick and uninformed. I'm not on twitter anymore but I still believe there will be a second referendum and the 'people' will vote to remain. The agenda wants a second referendum, no-one will question it because no-one really wanted to leave in the first place. There will be a general election and someone who has resigned will profit from it. The people will be happy because they have had two votes on it.
  3. Why should an Irishman be expected to wear a poppy to commemorate the British Army. It's not just for WW1 or WW2. I'm all for respecting anyone who has fought or died for their country and doing that shouldn't mean you agreed with the pretence of that war. Anyone who made that sacrifice deserves our respect. We should also remember the other side of the same coin, wars are politically motivated conflicts that serve somebody's agenda and both sides of the apposing forces are fighting for what they are told to be right. We are not commemorating the cause, we are commemorating the lives that were lost because of that cause.
  4. I've tried to post something onto the main LCFC fan forum but I can't get on. I just wanted to pass on my condolences to the club and city in general. My dad always liked the club and many times suggested I should have them as my second team.. It must be very difficult for the fans and players as they all seemed to have a connection with the owner which is rare. I can't make our game tomorrow night but I hope everyone joins in to respect this sad event. God bless the man and may his legacy continue
  5. I think we all need to remember we are changing everything. Not just who takes the pens, but everything. It's gonna take time, we'll need a few January, probably ones that are more suited to Smiths style of play and then another few in the summer. If Spuds come in for Grealish again I'd personally let him go, I spent most of the second half rolling my eyes at him falling over like a drunk and taking awful corners. He might be one of our own but he ain't one of mine.
  6. Didn't see first half so can only comment on the second half. Grealish was fouled several times and fell over, resulting set pieces were awful. Goalie frightens me on corners and Thompson played a blinder until he ran into Hutton. Lots of work still to do, I have faith in the coaching team and most of the players.
  7. Maybe, deep down, he actually wanted to move to Spurs. That may be effecting his performances this season... Or maybe he just isn't as good as some people (including myself) think he is. If Smith doesn't think he's up to it then he will drop him
  8. It's not a Steve Bruce team, it's a Dean Smith team FFS. STFU
  9. Yep, total bellend. Can barely string two words together, preferred the player version
  10. Di'Canio pushing that ref over? Sorry for late guess
  11. He could always come back with summat like......... Well teams coached by me normally play you lot off the park.
  12. I'll take your word for it, I'm none the wiser
  13. Oh and why was he calling Jesus Suso ? Is that a nickname or summat
  14. Just watched his interview with OS. He comes across as humble and not overawed by it all. Although I think when he walks out on Saturday to a full house he will get goosebumps for a while and then he'll settle down. Shame I can't make it. Also watched JT & ROK interview, you can tell who has had more media training. I think they're gonna fit with each other really well and it will be to our benefit.
  15. Smith is showing em summat funny on his phone. Either his winnings from Sky Bet or the Championship table
  16. I hope we do, but unfortunately the cabbage throwing idiot will probably be there booing.
  17. Having had a few hours to take this in, I'm ready to say a few words...... Doug Ellis was one of my earliest memories of Villa, mainly passed on by my late Dad. He lived through both versions of him being chairman . Regardless of your personal opinion of him he was Villa through and through and everything he did (right or wrong) was for the best for Villa, or at least what he believed was the best. We certainly wouldn't be worried about FFP under him for one thing. My other half met him a few times and always said he was polite and respectful to her, unlike some other people she came across in her work. I didn't agree with naming a stand after him but I would gladly see it changed to the Sir Doug Ellis Stand in his memory. He deserves his position in our history. We have lost many Villa heroes in my time and although he didn't score the goals or wear the shirt he should be remembered the same as those that did. Villa won't be the same without him and no cabbage throwing muppet will change that. RIP Doug, you will be missed
