  1. In the summer then yes please . Newcastle get Remy, QPR get M'Vila, Sunderland get N'Diaye, Villa get erm....Sissoko?
  2. It seems clear to me that Lamberts waiting for a decent offer for Darren Bent, that isn't from one of our relegation rivals. Lets say Lambert has a budget of 10mil and we get 5mil minimum for Bent... rather then buy Chester from hull for 4mil on january 1st, Lambert could use that 4mil he hasnt spent on Chester and put it together with the 5mil from selling Bent to buy a better quality player, such as Douglas, Lovren, Glik or whoever... imo we don't need experience, we need quality!
  3. Sunday Mirror Sport understands top-paid Villa players Darren Bent, Stephen Ireland, Shay Given and Charles N’Zogbia do not have relegation clauses in their contracts. Im just trying to understand why people think lerner would try to get us relegated.
  4. Yeah i completely agree. The reason Barca have so much talent come up through there youth ranks and become successful in the first team is because they have a B Team in the division below. Whenever someones ready thats when they'll be promoted to the first team, not the stupid shit weve got here (the u21s league) We need to loan out all our youngsters to the lower league teams to gain real experience in real leagues.
  5. (Roughly Guessing) If villa were to get relegated then promoted again would Randy be at a financial gain or loss? or would he be at a financial loss if he spends 20mil this transfer window and we stayed up? *Bare in mind if we're relegated we'll be rid of the high wagers without relegation clauses in their contracts, that we dont want at the club* Then villa could have a fresh start under a manager who seems to know what his doing. *Bare in mind if we stay up we'd get the TV money thing* and our clubs history wouldn't be **** with because of the owner.
  6. If he specialises in the bundesliga, then who have we been linked to from there? Theres more then enough talent to be had from there
  7. It's a tough situation that Lambert's in, but i think the only way we could bring in a top player this window is Loan to Buy someone. (Pay the transfer fee in the summer) e.g. (these CB's havent been first choice for their clubs, not 100% sure about Santana) "Rolando 6ft3, 27 from Porto", "Jardel 6ft4, 26 from Porto","Santana 6ft4, 26 from BVB"
  8. Good players that are free transfers usually have hefty wages and are old, average/less experienced players that are free and have low wages are usually shit.
  9. Very unlucky today, shame we couldn't of put 1 of our chances away
  10. dailymail: Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is close to signing French star Moussa Sissoko, 23, in a £3.5million deal. FK YOU O'NEILL
  11. Benteke missed more then 2 sitters against bradford. I hope Mr 50p head doesn't put his headers into the crowd in the second leg
  12. First of all im talking about loaning Guidetti, If Bent goes. Let's say Guidettis on 40k max and the useless tit that misses 2 sitters against bradford is on 75-90k, then i know who id rather us have on the bench. ( of course im aware villa need Mids & Defenders ) Right i would loan Guidetti rather than Welbeck because Guidetti is 2 years younger, so im guessing hes on lower wages, also for these reasons: Guidetti has a better Goals to Games ratio, He is an ex-teammate of Vlaar & KEA ,and lastly Welbecks form lately has been shyt for united so i think theyve started playing him LW.
  13. Sky Sports: Manchester City striker John Guidetti is looking to join an English club on loan, according to the player's Italian agent. id rather us Loan Guidetti then Welbeck
  14. James Chester can't be that bad, his club are top of their league (Hull) as for Dale Stephens i can remember someone saying his the best passer of the ball in the Championship
  15. While we dont have a decent Central Attacking Mid we cant keep using 41212 or 4231 or 5212. imo it has to be this below, good old 442 (if westwoods still injured then stick Herd in for him) Benteke Weimann NZogbia Delph Westwood Agbonlahor Bennett Clark Vlaar Lowton Guzan
  16. First of all let me clear this up Samir Carruthers is a Winger/Attacking Mid end of story. Cahill and Albrighton weren't worse then who they replaced the experienced pros. (Cahill replaced Zat Knight, Curtis Davis and Cuellar & Albrighton replaced Craig Gardner/ Milner) If i had to compare Carruthers to any villa player id say his similar to the Albrighton before the injury. The thing about Clark, Baker and Lichaj is they were always going to be average players. (Baker has the stature to be a good CB but his inexperience shows, loan him out i say)
  17. The fact that villa had so many useless players on stupid wages before Lambert joined doesn't make it Lamberts fault. Lambert has said it will take him 2-3 seasons to sort villa out. If you want to point the finger at anyone then point it at Lerner for hiring Alex McLeish.
  18. J Fonte Knee Injury 24th Feb 13 G Ramirez Hip/Thigh Injury 12th Jan 13 N Clyne Knee Injury 12th Jan 13 A Lallana Knee Injury 9th Feb 13 Maybe the guys returning for the villa game might not be 100% fit
  19. i dont think its fair to compare Carruthers to Bannan, Carruthers is a winger/attacking mid whereas Bannan's the complete opposite. with Gardner he was said to be the next gerrard, hopefully when his back he can keep up the level he did before the lengthy injury.
  20. If you open your eyes properly the fella said TEAM, not squad. so you must want me say wether villa have a better squad. Yes they do, as i said when Vlaar and Westwood return we will have a better squad then the 4 below us (Vlaar and Westwood havent died, they will play for villa again this season) Have QPR had more injuries then villa? no. Have QPR played their strongest squad for every game this season? Yes near enough. "basically villa is a reserve team" well that must be one good reserve team if they're above the apparent QPR "who have better players" but havent moved from the bottom 2 of the table all season. That's great logic that is.
  21. i ran out of posts couldn't reply.... ok so Vlaar had his injury assessed on November 24th, In our next games post match interview Lambert was asked how long is he out for. Lambert said he'll be out a few weeks (few equals 3) Managers aren't allowed to guess the length a player will be out for, they only say whatever there medical staff has told them. Therefore i said Vlaar is due back, which he is if you do the math.
  22. as you say "This team has just endured probably the worst 3 weeks of our premier league history" (with a weak squad) if there aren't 4 worse teams than us. Then why are we above these 4 teams in the league table? Yes southampton have a game in hand but are they above us no. why do those 4 teams have smaller stadiums then us? why do they have a smaller fan base then us? why does villa have the 7th wealthiest chairman in the premier league? Yes QPR are rich but some man called Mr Hughes had out done previous villa manager and brought in a huge amount of average/shit players in on stupid wages, so imo they're done and dusted.
  23. I think you'll find that we'd save alot more money then 1m, otherwise every club would splash there entire budget on january 1st. On Vlaar of course hes due back anytime time soon. The medical coaches expected 2-3 games out not the current situation where it feels like yonks ago. Villa's medical team are probably the worst in the prem, last season we were almost relegated because of this and petrovs absence did help either (imo every season of the past 3 years it feels as though a quarter or more of our squad players arent able to play games because of injuries), so many times their predictions of injuries are a mile off or wrong. one example could be Albrighton... he was training with a broken metatarsal for a MONTH before they found out the problem. fkin disgraceful if you ask me. My conclusion to that is we either have a ridiculously shit medical team or we're just unlucky.
