Lambert said in an interview he wont start negotiations for players until after the bradford games out of the way, i didn't realise that he obviously meant after we've played the 2nd leg. All of the players that we've been linked too so far by newspapers are probably just players his enquired about.

God knows how much Bent is on, people say 80-90k but i think its alot more considering how much money we flushed down the toilet on him anyway. Lambert could bring in 3-4 good young players in thats wages would amount to the same as Bent & Ireland's.

His problem at villa is he was used as a box to box player and this isn't what he is. I just remember him always fluffing his shots wide. NRC is a CDM (the role that he played at west ham, that he did so well for them there that he became their captain and of course why villa bought him)

Height does equal strength it's scientificly proven, with the rare freak of nature. Why do the best teams in the world have 6ft+ defensive mids then? (Barca have Busquets, Chelsea have Mikel, Bayern have Javi Martínez, ManU have Carrick, Real Madrid have Khedira, ManC have Yaya Toure, Arsenal have Diaby....) Plus a tall CDM can win headers in defence for us because villa cant defend corners for shit atm.

Its not when villa need strength in a CDM/CB if we buy a CB that isn't 6'3+ then teams will continue to score corners against us.
