  1. 4-1 Up. Scorers (Assisted by): Grealish (Bateman), Sellars (GOAL MACHINE) (Robinson), Johnson (Pen), Strain (Lyden) I've not heard of Thomas Strain before? EDIT: 4-2 now. EDIT: 6-2 O'Brien (Volley off Strain's saved shot), Strain (25 Yard Volley) EDIT: 6-3. Holy shit what a game haha. 30 Yard Thunderbastard for Boldmere FULLTIME: 6-3. Sounds like Strain had a great game. 2 goals and a saved shot that ended up going in via an O'Brien volley.
  2. They finally announced their (made up) 2011 accounts at the beginning of this season I believe. Think they should have been in by end of April 2012 and they missed it, had extensions and then had their auditers quit because they couldn't tell the clubs arse from its elbow on the details they were given and so Blues missed the extension so were under transfer embargo last summer for a while, right? So 2012's accounts should have been in by now, have they not submitted those either?
  3. Because the Premier League isn't all that good.
  4. Danny Crowley and Ethan Moore. One next Wilshere and one who is a once in a generation player.
  5. Newspapers still linking us to players like this?
  6. 'Benteke, who is hoping to move in 48 hours to a club who are yet to bid for him' ....
  7. götze was on 80k a week lewandowski idk Yeah, last summer he upped his contract by 4 years until 2016 and was on £76k. However, by that time Götze had already won two League titles. true but a little hard for benteke to win 2 league titles with aston villa huh.. He'd have a better chance staying at Villa for one year, having a similar season and leaving amicably next summer to one of the real big boys. Rather than leaving to Spurs, having one of these seasons again and the real big boys want him, him throwing his dummy out of the pram again for the move and realise he wont be able to bully Daniel Levy into letting him go and staying in a 4th-6th team for another 3 or 4 years. Levy has so far managed to get more time from Modric and Bale and wouldnt let Benteke go I honestly think if he keeps playing the way he is, he would likely win a title a lot quicker by staying at Villa for an extra season than leaving for Spurs now (or ever)
  8. götze was on 80k a week lewandowski idk Yeah, last summer he upped his contract by 4 years until 2016 and was on £76k. However, by that time Götze had already won two League titles. I think Benteke is a quality striker, and I think he will get better and better and could potentially, so long as he keeps going as he has been, be one of the best strikers in the world. However, I think it would be stupid after one good season to offer him anything more than 50k a week. He may well prove to be worth 70k, 90k or even eventually 150k a weeks worth of player. But for our club it would set a stupid precedent whereby one good, (albeit great) season makes you a top class player. 70k+ makes you that, it's not Wayne Rooney wages but some of the best players in the world outside of the Absolute Mega Rich clubs are on those wages. If Lowton or Westwood have a similarly amazing season, they would want 60-70k. They are not worth that wage. Only takes one or two of them to get to that wage and suddenly start to fail and we are in a world of hurt.
  9. Mario Gotze (Until last summer): £15k a week Robert Lewandowski: £24k a week Benteke can jog on if he wants £70k+. Us offering him 40-50k his more than he is worth after one season in all honesty.
  10. Looking at a few players who could be possible AMC buys Wahbi Khazri (Bastia, Ligue 1) Seems to be very versatile, can play on either wing, in centre midfield, behind the striker and even made one or two appearances in defensive midfield this season. He chipped in with 7 goals and 8 assists in Ligue 1 this season. Likes a late run to the box for a shot and takes an alright freekick. He's 22 so would fit bang in line with our age requirements too. Transfermarkt has him valued at £3.5m Has the same goals and assists as Montpelliers Remy Cabella in less games (Cabella however has better Pass % and Key Passes but he's just turned down a move to Arsenal to stay in France) Yohan Mollo (Nancy, Ligue 1) Mollo is much more of a winger, has a good cross on him though but he also made a lot of goal scoring chances last season, 81 and got 11 assists. He made a few appearances on both flanks, in midfield and upfront, so it could be feasible that he could be moved into the middle but to be honest thats not where his talent is and cant really see Mollo considering we already bought Tonev and have a lot of other players for his best position, shame though. Abdel Barrada (Getafe, La Liga) Barrada created more chances last season than Khazri but wasn't rewarded with as many assits as him, getting 4 goals and 6 assists. However this is still 3 more assists than Younes Belhanda managed last season, who unfortunately he shares an Agent with. At 24 he's pushing the boundary of the age range Lambert seems to be signing players in so should be fine in that regard.
  11. Grealish looks very good on the ball, definitely a cut above everyone else in those highlights
  12. Ricky Van wolfswinkel, Nathan Redmond, Martin Olsson, Leroy Fer, some very good signings for Norwich so far. Linked to Quagliarella too. Think, so far, between them and Southampton for best summer so far who have signed Lovren, Wanyama and tied Luke Shaw down to a 5 year contract.
  13. vydra would be a very good replacement for Bent. Quicker, knows where the goal is, would fit much better into our system. Although I think Helenius was Bent's replacement. Vydra would be more like an upgrade on Weimann in our current system imo. Would still like to see him come here but I can't see it, think Gabby, Tonev, Weimann, Helenius, Bowery + Youth will be enough. However, Finnbogason and Vydra coming in to replace Benteke would be great business imo.
  14. OS I honestly had no idea about any of this.
  15. I dunno, financially yeah probably but going by their NFL teams, whilst Lerner's browns are perpetually awful even they managed to be better than Khan's Jaguars last season, who only managed to win 2 of their regular season games joint worst with Kansas City.
  16. I disagree about Weimann. I think he is wasted out wide for a long time he was going missing in games when being put out wide as its just not his position. Weimanns best games imo worked best when he was up top with Benteke, they were creating a superb partnership at one point. (The Liverpool game comes to mind) I think every now and then it could work to have Weimann up front, especially if we go a bit direct. One thing that really annoyed me last season was we would put Benteke up top by himself boot the ball up to him for him to flick on and Gabby and Andi would be on the flanks rather than behind Benteke to receive the flick on. Tonev Helenius Gabby Weimann Could work imo, especially direct as Helenius could flick on to Andi. I wouldn't want to see it all the time and we would certainly need another Striker, but I think this could work quite well, with Helenius pushing up into a 4-4-2 when need be to create a partnership with Andi
  17. £20m would be quite promising as an initial bid imo. I half expect their first bid to be between £15-18m. Always reject the first bid. If they bid £35m as their first bid I would reject it just to see how much we could drain them for. I think an initial bid of £20m is OK. Reject it and ask for £30m. Think we'll settle at £25m + add-ons.
  18. Craven Cottage Groundshare? But anyway, yeah I would assume so, since Khan bought the Jags a couple of years back the have made their intentions to push into the London/UK market pretty clear. They are coming to London for games for each of the next four years. I imagine there will be some big cross-publicity with Fulham when they do so Heres an article on the possibility of a London NFL team and why the Jaguars are one of the most likely candidates
  19. SOLD. Sky News Newsdesk @SkyNewsBreak Sky Sources: Mohammed Al Fayed has sold Fulham FC for between £150-200m to Shahid Khan who also owns NFL team the Jacksonville Jaguars
  20. We wont spend £10-12m on one player though imo. Benteke's replacement will be in the £5-8m bracket. For example, at the start of the transfer window, I think we would have been quite happy if we knew Benteke was leaving and we signed Nicklas Helenius and Andreas Cornelius for a combined £10m. Obviously I know Cornelius is now with Cardiff but I think thats the kind of player we'll look at. Young, Hungry, Cheap.

  22. I would include our bunch in that too from an International level. We haven't really produced anyone good enough yet. Our best would be Gareth Barry, who could be attributed to other teams, and Gary Cahill. Neither of which are anywhere near good enough to be the difference between England and Spain/Germany. Thats not to say the next bunch aren't going to be good enough, Gardner, Grealish, Graham, Crowley are all very highly rated and will probably (hopefully) be the best bunch we have ever produced. However as much as I like them, none of these have done anything yet, Germany and Spain have players really pulling up trees at the age of Gardner/Graham. But I suppose thats always been our problem, successfully transferring these great youth talents into first team stars.
