    I wish the Conway sisters would hurry up and **** off so that other investors can be found. Pay the money or get lost - Ellis isn't going to sell for any less because he's a penny pinching old clearing in the woods. I'm sick of the back teeth of this now. The club is crumbling whilst a bunch of cowboy tarmacers and a 157 year old travel agent argue over its value. If Ellis loved this club, he'd sell his share for a nominal fee to any investor who is willing to make a significant investment in the team.

    I agree with the general sentiment - Nou Camp. Been there a few times and it is absolutely amazing. Thought the Bernabeau was incredible as well. Seen a few games there including a CL game and the atmosphere was breathtaking - almost, if not just as good, as the Nou Camp.

    I think a lot of people's opinions will have changed by next week. If we sign Baros and a centre half, personally I will go from pessimistic to slightly pessimistic.

    After another summer of lies and broken promises; four cheap signings; a squad just as small; holes in the team that still need filling; and the thought of him running the club still... I can safely say I'm pessimistic.

    The thing is, its clear that Villa are interested (or so we are told) yet Baros has yet to indicate he would be interested in a move to VP. Schalke have declared their interest and I reckon he had to change his pants after giving them a rapid creaming! I just still seems as if we are his absolute last option - if he really has to, he will sign; but he'd much prefer a bigger European or Premier League club.

    I think it goes without saying that we wont be able to legally talk to the player until a fee has been agreed with the selling club. Which begs the question? Has Snide managed to find the fax machine yet? :roll: Unless a fee has been agreed and the club are keeping it a secret!?

    Staunton! Scored some crackers and wasnt too bad at going forward (iirc). Was a decent defender and a quite a hot head - he certainly wasnt scared of giving his team mates a verbal slamming. Think we could use him today actually.

    I know for a FACT he wouldnt come to Villa Park. He wouldnt even go back to SHA because he hates the city of Birmingham and doesnt think much of its people.

    Baros had Gerrard marauding up and down the field plus Risse and Alonso who both finished within the top ten for assists. Looking at his stats, I just dont see why he would be better than Vassell. At times, Villa arent known for creating an abundance of chances - Baros' already poor domestic scoring record would probably be worse for us. In the European championships he played alongside Jan Koller so Im suprised Benitez doesnt fancy linking him up with Crouch.
