Take away all his penalties and he scored 0.20 goals per 90 minutes this season. Conor Hourihane scored 0.18. Wesley scored 0.25. Over the last five seasons, 18 of his 47 goals have come on penalties. Take them away and he's quite ordinary.

I really don't believe we'll see anything happen before September. If you look around at the credible rumors of what's going on, we know it's a buyer's market. We also know that clubs are hurting because of the pandemic. Because of this, they're putting large prices on players trying to recoup those losses, but most teams aren't willing to pay those prices right now. Plus they know they won't have to. So we're just stuck in a staring contest with everybody waiting on somebody to blink first. It will eventually be a selling club, but I don't anticipate it happening this week. For anybody, not just Villa.

Kamara is fantastic, and versatile, which I love. Can play CB and DM effectively, and played over 1,000 minutes at each spot last season. I think he's best at CB. Alas, when he leaves Marseille, it'll be for a Champions League team. So maybe we can sign him next summer.

These Kodjia comparisons are odd to me. I've only seen him on YouTube highlights, but based on that, he reminds me more of Moise Kean.

How amazing would it be if we did sign Trippier? We'd have two England nationals and neither would be named Jack Grealish.

I don't see this happening unless Atletico is in need of money. Just signed him last summer for £20 million and I doubt we're looking to spend that much on a right back.

He's left-footed so I'm not sure he'd be competition for Mings or depth. Either way, I'm all for it. He's a threat on corners and set pieces.

Possible alternative for Ollie Watkins. Nicolas Gonzalez is apparently available for around £20 million. Like Watkins, has played on the wings and in the center.
