  1. Allegedly refusing to do media after friendly games according to the Mirror, saying it's a time for action instead of words. Basically he's completely pissed off.
  2. Ah, the silly silly things that get said in July that often come back to bite the next May! If you look at the start of most transfer threads there is always stuff like this. I dont see how this is silly? Are you trying to tell me this guy is as good as Benteke? Seriously? And we have lost three of our main players with no signs of replacements...yet. Of course this could all change but I think we have a reason to be fearful considering the dross last season. You are vehemently against Adebayor. You've referred to him as an oaf on several occasions. If you cannot consider the fact that maybe he isn't an oaf, but a short term fix who has a track history of scoring goals in the Premier League, in particular for our current manager, then we're fully aware of your position and you can only repeat yourself from here on out. Whats the point of a short term fix though? Are we in a position to gamble with our future? This team relied heavily on Tekkers to score goals. We have 30m+ now and the best we can come up with adebayor? The guy is an oaf in my opinion and I will not change my opinion on that so no point even discussiing that. I bet he has various falling outs with team mates at some point in the season. He is a bad apple but I will sit back while everyone moans later on.. I like Richard am against this signing because I know how damaging this man is to team morale when things dont go the teams way.I never feel this strongly against players but this is going to be a costly mistake if he is the one we are going to rely on for goals. Do you think I get enjoyment of saying these things? Because an actual fix to the solution is a budget we don't have, So we take Adebayor as a short-term alongside one we can bring on progressively. I would be amazed if we just signed Adebayor in this position.
  3. He's liked a picture of Sherwood salute on IG and that's the rumour haha.

Of course this could all change but I think we have a reason to be fearful considering the dross last season. It's silly stating that if Adebayor is our main striker, we are nailed on for relegation. The issue with Adebayor isn't ability, never has been, even now on form he's quality. We have a manager who has proven how to get the best out of him and had a similar scoring record to Benteke albeit with better players around him of course. The thing here is, we cannot look at every striker and compare them to Benteke, he was a diamond and we'd have to possibly spend over 20m to get a like for like replacement. So we need to ask the question is Adebayor a better option than what we currently have? I think the answer to that is yes.
  5. Basically they want Brendan Rodgers to be awake when they break the story, so he can know what reporters are talking about when they ask him about Benteke.
  6. He won't get 100k here, Spurs will have to contribute to his wages. Levy really isn't in a strong position on this one fortunately. He knows, we know it too.
  7. Kyle Walker is another on loan that was a success and in fact Sunderland were higher than us when we bought Darren Bent haha.
  8. Richard Dunne was a success of some sort but can't remember who was higher at the time, they they had just overtaken us.
  9. He actually isn't, he's wanted to go to Liverpool for a while now.
  10. Delph was staying but as recent events shown, he changes his mind every week, unless you missed that of course.
  11. Agree but what it shows, Spurs have shown their hand, they want him gone. Villa can be fairly relaxed about it and press on with other signings.
  12. I thought the early reports had said that he was offered to us. That's what Kristoff Terreur said. By his agents he was, the club may still be a sticking point.
  13. Dean Scoggins ‏@SunDeanScoggins 54m54 minutes ago @ClaretBlueAVFC it's funny how you've all grabbed those and not Obbi Oulare, who they are talking to today
  14. Hopefully happens to Benteke too then.
  15. I've always thought he could be an astute signing if we get him for the right price? CB is rated at 32.5m, to replace him with the same level of quality it will take 20m plus, unfortunately we as a club will not spend that much on a forward. I think Adebayor for a season under Tim is what's needed, he knows the league and could take the pressure.
  16. Because it's in the paper with Alan Nixon's name next to it in the transfer gossip section.
  17. The bid is in, and expect CB to be a Liverpool player I'd say at the latest next week.
  18. Gil will be one in my opinion, and you never know Sanchez may also be on that list.
  19. Yup, and once it doesn't he isn't. Obviously, it's more the pops at the Belgian Journo who we all know has contacts with CB and his agent.
